9th Street East is one unit of a newly remodeled duplex. A centrally located space that is inviting you to come relax and recharge in the slower paced life of Port Orford. Spend your days inside relaxing, or adventure outside to the nearby rivers, beaches and lake.

Located just blocks away from many locals beaches including: Battle Rock Beach, Tseridian State Park and the Port of Port Orford. And just minutes away from Paradise Point and Caoe Blanco. Spend countless hours walking the beaches searching for agates, exploring tide pools, beachcombing or whale watching. Port Orford is home to the only dolly dock on the west coast. Watch fishing vessels be launched and retrieved out of the water with cranes,

Just a few miles North, enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Elk River or Sixes River. Depending on the season, either enjoy a day relaxing by the water in the Summer, or fish for salmon or steelhead in the Fall.

Enjoy our fully stocked kitchen with full size refrigerator, microwave, glass top cook stove and all the amenities. You only need to bring your groceries!

Rest and relax in the cozy living room. Stream TV on a wall mounted flat screen TV while enjoying an electric fireplace on our sofa with built in recliners.

Start your day with a hot shower in our full size shower/ bathtub combo. And fall asleep in either the master bedroom with a queen size bed, or the guest bedroom with a double size bed.

Around the corner, in every direction, are popular local food establishments: Crazy Norwegians, Redfish, Golden Harvest, Cafe Gemma and Portside Cafe; just to name a few.

East Side Retreat is the perfect getaway for 4 guests. Well behaved dogs are always welcome. Meeting up with friends or family? Additional guests have the option of renting our West Side Retreat VRBO 2692653 for guests who love to travel together, but would like more personal space and separate sleeping arrangements.

*****IMPORTANT NOTE: We love pets! We invite you to bring them! Guests are required to pay a $50 pet fee. Please- due to recent problems and damage, pets are strictly prohibited on furniture and on beds. This helps ensure future guests the cleanest and most comfortable stay possible. The same as we offered you. Failure to comply with our request will result in an additional $200 cleaning fee. This is not something we want to do. Unfortunately, it is something we now have to do. Thank you for your understanding****

We came down to the southern Oregon coast because we’d never seen the beaches down there. Only Oregon northern beaches. Which are amazing but the spectacular views of the ocean from port Orford and Brookings blew us away. This was a clean comfortable place to stay close to everything!

We were very comfortable and had everything we needed, even beach chairs and toys! It is close to the beach and wonderful historic places (we loved the lifeboat station museum) and some yummy places to eat.

Spent the weekend for a friends wedding. This house was immaculate and beautifully furnished. There were a number of helpful amenities and the kitchen had many helpful items to cook meals. Would definitely return again to this home.

We visited Port Orford to spend time with my new grandson. Perfect location as I could walk to my son’s house. House is well stocked with the dishes and utensils to cook a family dinner. The beds are comfortable and the place is really easy to live in. I will definitely stay again.

My partner and I can’t say enough good things about our stay at this home. The location is within walking distance of stores and the beach, short driving distance of excellent fishing. The home was well stocked with everything you need to cook a family meal. The attention to detail was the best part! Helpful notes throughout the house, complementary snacks, fresh/soft linens etc. We plan to stay here again!

This was the perfect stay to get away and enjoy the beautiful oregon coast. This location is close to the beach and hikes as well! Exactly what we were looking for when looking for a place to stay! The house was just what it said it would be and offered great amenities. Only thing I wish we would have done was bring a fan for the night BUT that does not effect my rating of the place as it is a place with no AC. So it's just a suggestion for those who are used to sleeping with one. Everything else was perfect and I'd stay here again with no hesitation!

From the snacks and fresh bananas to the sand toys, the little extras for this place were fantastic. The house itself exceeded our expectations. The pictures don’t do it justice. It is a very sweet beach bungalow that is half a duplex. The beds were comfortable, the house was quiet, and perfectly located in Port Orford. Thanks for a great stop on our road trip.

This house is cozy and comfortable. I stayed with my boyfriend for just a night, but it was perfect! The house is within walking distance to town and the port where we went sea kayaking with South Coast Tours. Christy, the property manager, was fabulous! A wealth of information and very helpful. No washer, dryer or dishwasher, but we didn't need that for just one night. 5 stars for sure!

Cute, comfortable accommodations - 5 Star Hospitality!

Cute, comfortable accommodations in Port Orford, walking distance to the beach and several restaurants (check hours in the off season). The living/dining area gets a lot of natural light (my kids enjoyed watching the neighbor’s chickens cross the road) and has a comfortable couch for cozying up for rainy movie nights (we appreciated the Smart TV with Disney+, Netflix, etc.). The kitchen is well set up for cooking in meals with plenty of counter space, all the appliances (coffee maker, air fryer, toaster, etc.) and everything you could possibly need was organized well in the drawers and cupboards. The beds were comfortable, with cute, plush bedding as shown in the photos, and heating can be controlled in each room individually, which is nice. We appreciated the proximity of both the 24 hour convenience store a short walk away and the local food co-op, also a block away. Christy was amazing from start to finish - very responsive during our stay, and also leading up to our stay. We mentioned we were interested in beaches and specifically agate-hunting and tide-pooling, and she gave several great recommendations in the area (we hit up Tseriadun each day of our stay and enjoyed finding many small agates there). She even left us a bag of agates, kids’ activities (bubbles, glow sticks, activity books), a bottle of wine, fresh fruit and flowers.. these touches of hospitality were unexpected and so appreciated after a long day of driving. We appreciated the location - Port Orford isn’t as touristy or big as Gold Beach, Bandon, etc. but it’s cute with a great community. The home is close to many area attractions. It’s also well-situated for day trips - we hit up the redwoods (Stout Grove in Jedediah Smith NP is recommended) and stopped along the Samuel H Boardman Scenic Corridor on the way back - highly recommend spending some time at Secret Beach! All in all, a great stay. Would recommend to others looking for comfortable, affordable lodgings managed by a thoughtful host!

My parents, my husband and myself stayed 2 nights in this cute and clean property. We didn't cook at the house but it looked to be well stocked. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and freshly painted and the location was perfect! We will definitely be staying here again!
