Perfect location for family celebration gathering of 17 people ranging in age from 5 to 71! All had so much fun on the property with so much to do! We all explored the beautiful spots on the property from the donkeys and goats right out our door and all over the property, fishing and kayaking in the ponds, walking and riding on the paths exploring and looking for geodes, making s’mores at the fire pit, collecting eggs from the chickens, playing yard games and toy room activities, etc.
The house had plenty of room for all of us to enjoy being together and hanging out for meals and activities inside. Very comfortable and welcoming place to stay! Tonja, the owner, was so accommodating and helpful!

Everyone had a great time! We had all ages and all the kids had something to do along with the adults. Spent most of our time outside. Enjoying the wonderful property. Ate fresh eggs for breakfast each morning and the kids had a great time collecting those eggs! Everyone was talking about coming back before we even left!

We loved our stay in the farmhouse. Tonya was great at explaining things and showing us around whenever we asked but also giving us our privacy. She supplied us with tools to open the geodes we found on her property and bait to fish in the 2 ponds. We spent every day busy exploring the property. The first day we arrived a baby donkey was born and Tonya took us to visit baby and mom. She gives you access to alfalfa treats and nothing is more fun than a group of donkeys circling you for treats. We will definitely be going back :)

Owner was great and very easy to work with, and quick to answer any questions we had before and during our stay.
Farmhouse was great, and had plenty of room and beds for our whole group for our weekend friends retreat.
Definitely will be staying here again for our future retreats!

Decided on this location since it was central to the majority of our wedding party. The relaxing atmosphere was perfect, allowing us to enjoy the company of friends and family which was of most importance to us on this special day (weekend). Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a special getaway for a relaxing memorable occasion.

Spent the weekend in the big house at the back of the property. Large kitchen with plenty of seating. The house is spacious with plenty of areas to congregate or read quietly. The animals were great brought my 100 year old grandmother to feed the donkeys and goats. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, helping bring the animals in to interact with my grandmother. Having access to the utility vehicles made getting to the back of the property a lot of fun. This would be a great place to bring anyone with an interest in animals especially kids. All of the animals are well behaved and interact great with people. The baby donkeys were the best!

This place is awesome ! Tons of fun things to do but at the same time a great place to relax. Even with all the animals around, they kept the farm really clean! I highly recommend this place for a big family get together!

The minute you pull up into the property and see the miniature donkeys greeting you, you know you are in for a unique experience. Tonya owner, and Amy the innkeeper are very welcoming and friendly and quick to respond to questions or other needs you have. All of us had things we enjoyed doing, be it hiking, fishing, getting eggs from the friendly chickens, and of course petting and giving alfalfa treats to the donkeys, goats, and sheep. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was a great after party for my mother's 80th birthday celebration. Thank you so much. I would highly recommend this VROB and I would go again.

The fabulous kitchen is incredibly well-stocked. Amy and Tonya were very helpful, and the farm is amazing. We all had a blast interacting with the donkeys, goats, lambs, chickens (great eggs!),
and dogs! The adults and teenagers all loved it!

This annual trip was very different than usual. Tonya met us and explained everything and was just plain wonderful! She loves her animals and her work. We took a couple day trips to Nashville Indiana and French Lick. The mini donkeys and 2 goats and 2 lambs were friendly and loved our attention. She has 2 "side by sides" to drive through her property which was so much fun! We walked and sat on the porch but mostly took advantage of the inside space for games and pure chatter! Her family room is enclosed by windows so we had a wonderful view of the animals, yard and sunrise! As Tonya says, it is a bit out of the way (11 miles to nearby Bedford) so be prepared with food and plans! Worth every penny!

We came here to get away and do something as a family after going through a year of treatment with my son who has leukemia. We were looking for somewhere to gather our thoughts and just try to get back to normal and this was exactly what we needed!

We had the best experience. Tonya went above and beyond with communication. She was an amazing host! We felt right at home. There were a lot of great extra amenities. And the donkey and goat experience was so fun for the kids and adults ;) Definitely worth the money!! Thank you Tonya!! We appreciate your hospitality!

Donkey Town was just as advertised. We loved our stay here. Tonya has created a little bit of heaven in a lovely part of Indiana. It was the get-away we hoped for, bringing together my family from Chicago and my husband's family from Dayton, OH. The farmhouse more than accommodated our group of five. To say that the kitchen is well stocked doesn't do it justice. The cupboards looked more like those of my kitchen than those of a typical rental property (with coffee, baking powder, Worcestershire sauce as well as a great inventory of knives and cooking pans).
Tonya is a natural hostess, happy to share the story of her 21 donkeys and two goats, and to problem solve as we dealt with a flat tire. She offered to inflate it for us and worked with us to handle our need to stay an extra hour beyond check-out time as we waited for the dealership in Bloomington to get us a new tire.
As for the donkeys, seeing them roam outside the farmhouse provided the brush with nature we were hoping for, as did the beautiful landscape in which the farm is set. Donkeytown was great in the winter. We look forward to seeing it in another season.

Our family traveled from west coast for my husband's mom's celebration of life service. We were able to all be together. The farm experience was great. We enjoyed feeding the donkeys, fishing and friendliness of the owner. Highly recommend this place!!

We had a blast at Donkeytown!!! Our 3 year old grandson was mesmerized by the goats and donkeys (actually, so were my 30 (ish) year old daughters)!!!
The donkeys met us at the door and wandered about the property most of the day. Feeding them and watching them hang out was fun and interesting.
The property was clean, very well equipped and easy to get to.
It was a little chilly later in our weekend visit so we only had one day to explore the many acres of walking trails, but we did get to see the creepy dolls!
Overall, a great place to stay if you are looking for something a little different.

This was a perfect long weekend. Fish to catch, donkeys to pet, chairs to rock, trails to hike, geodes to find, sunsets to watch, fireflies to see. It doesn't get any better than this. Took me back to my childhood on my aunt and uncle's farm.

Exactly what we were expecting
The property was we were looking for. Plenty of room for the kids to explore and roam, peaceful evenings and mornings. Kids loved the animals roaming around. What we needed for a quick weekend getaway.

Won't You Take Me To DonkeyTown?!
Oh my goodness! Staying at DonkeyTown with our family of 12 was an amazing time of fun, food, fishing, farm animals and fellowship! Tanya was one of the most friendly and warm hosts we have ever met! Our kids and grandkids enjoyed a 6 day adventure on the farm! Willie and Waylon (the goats) have such personality- they were gentle and oh so funny to watch playing with our grandkids. The donkeys were so sweet and social, just like in Tanya's description. We petted them, brushed them and even fed them alfalfa treats. DJ and Angus even treated the smaller grandkids to a donkey ride, thanks to Tanya. She not only saddled them up, but had the grandkids help her get them ready, all the while she told them about the care and history of these beautiful, docile donkeys. Stella and others joined our parade down the mainstreet of DonkeyTown. We all enjoyed kayaking, fishing, riding in the rowboat, bike riding, basketball and board games, all provided by our wonderful host! Our family was also given the golf cart and Kubota to use for rides. And we can't forget our little canine friends Boomer and Scout who provided much laughter and lots of kisses. Sitting out on the porch in the morning with a hot cup of coffee and enjoying God's handiwork was just what we needed! The geese even greeted us a few mornings! The highlight of our trip was Thursday evening when Mocha blessed our family with her firstborn baby girl, DonkeyTown's Keepin the Faith. (Faith). My two daughters and I were able to help Tanya lead Mocha and carry baby Faith to the barn for some extra post partum care. We worked as a team and felt very included in Mama and Baby's care. It was a once in a lifetime experience; we witnessed a little miracle.
We had a fabulous time - our kids and grandkids are asking when we can go back. I'm thinking we should go back next summer to celebrate Faith's first bday! What do you think, Tanya? Thank you again so very much for helping us make some amazing memories with our family!

Wonderful experience!
Owner was friendly and helpful showing me around the beautiful property. The donkeys are so sweet and seem to enjoy being around people. We fished, hiked, roasted marshmallows, grilled steaks and slowed down. Perfect weekend getaway!

PERFECT for the whole family!
Our stay at Donkey town was incredible, memorable and unique in just about every way. While there we were able to be with the free range Donkey‘s, go fishing (and caught multiple fish!), go Geode rock hunting, ride donkeys, relax outside and feel like we had the full farm experience. While we were there there was even a donkey birth! Tonya was a model host in every way! Available for anything & so easy going. We have a 6 yr old, 3 yr old & 1 yr old & everyone loved every second! Thank you so much Tonya!

Incredible Experience!
I cannot express what an incredible experience this was for me and my family. The property is beautiful with plenty of room to roam and explore. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and fun and was kind enough to give us all the information and history we asked for. But the best part, of course, was the donkeys. Waking up to them grazing right outside the door, being able to feed (only the provided alfalfa cubes!) and pet them (they truly are as friendly and as personable as, if not more so, than your pet dog!), turned out to be the highlight of our getaway. Not to mention, the fun we had finding geodes, sitting by a fire every night and even spending a day in not-too-far-away Bloomington. The accommodations were decorated in a beautiful and unique way and provided a fun and whimsical cross between a hotel and farm stay. Everything was roomy and comfortable with an upscale-farm feeling. I highly recommend this stay for a unique and fun getaway.
