We had a nice time at this property. It is well situated and close to amenities in town, yet very peaceful and quiet. It has been very tastefully decorated and is very clean. We loved the vintage feel. Susan was a very responsive host and was very prompt and helpful in communicating with us. Highly recommended

The house was everything we needed to have a comfortable place to retreat to, after long days in the National Park. The house itself could use some updating but it met our needs.

The house was cute. Close to restaurants, grocery store & Olympic NP. The rooms were nice sizes. The second floor did not have a shower you could stand up in so 4 of 5 used the bath downstairs. Tv & WiFi were excellent.

We loved this house! So many unique details to discover in this vintage home. We had more room to spread out than anticipated. Plenty of everything we needed was provided. The outdoor space is private and flowers are wild and beautiful…so nice to sit there around the fire in the evenings. Close to everything - stores, restaurants, and the main attraction Olympic NP. Thank you so much for the best stay in Port Angeles, Susan!!

We had such a wonderful stay here. We loved the central location, the architecture of the house, and the furnishings as well. We cooked some nice family meals here and relaxed in the living room. I'd love to return sometime!

Love the house!! So cute and comfortable!

Charming and spacious house, very well set up for a home base to explore what the region has to offer. The kitchen was really well set up - not the typical mismatched thrift store stuff you often find in short term rentals. The bedrooms were comfy and both bathrooms were beautifully done. It was a bit early in the year to enjoy the outdoor yard space but it was lovely. There is a commercial business across the street that made some noise during daytime hours, but they knocked off early and besides you'll probably be out and about during the day! (If the weather's bad and you're inside, you'll be having a pingpong tournament and won't notice.) Would definitely recommend this house.

lovely house to stay

This house was great for us for a variety of reasons:
1. Location, location, location- we walked to Swains, the restaurants and shops near the port, the port itself, and most places we wanted to get to in Port Angeles. Only needed our car to get to our hiking spots in the park and to get groceries
2.Clean, comfortable, cozy house- the beds were very comfortable, plenty of pillows and blankets/comforters; 2 very well-appointed bathrooms, plenty of fluffy towels, space to spread out with a dining room, living room, sitting room and the kitchen- plus 3 bedrooms. I love older homes with character - and this is a well-maintained and updated one!
3. Coffee and tea ready for us-didn’t have to stop at the store at midnight- the time we arrived :)
4. Effective communication with property owner/manager
Would stay again!

This place was perfect! We had 6 total guests - myself, my wife, and our 4 kids ages 15, 13, 11, and 7. My kids loved the house, and the ping pong table was in use constantly. It is a quirky place with lots of interesting rooms, cabinets, woodwork, etc. Very unique. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were all upstairs, perfect for our family. Location is great - easy to get downtown and easy to hit the road to the various Olympic National Park sites. The only negative thing I can say (and it's nothing against the house) is that I had wanted to explore the park that is next to the house. Upon investigation it's not super family-friendly and had several homeless camps there. This was not really a big deal for me though, and if we return to Port Angeles, I will definitely stay here again.

This was a very quaint, cozy and spacious property! It is the perfect location for a visit to Olympic National Park. Within walking distance of the shuttle to Hurricane Ridge, the visitors center and several restaurants. Also nearby is the ferry terminal to Victoria, BC. We enjoyed all the little nooks, crannies and curiosities of the house as well as the little sitting area in the backyard. The weather was lovely for our stay. We wish we had a little more information about the house itself. Maybe an information sheet about it?

This is a wonderful, cozy home with easy access to any outdoor activity on the northern part of the peninsula. The home was clean and perfect for our family. One note, if planning to cook most meals, all ingredients should be brought by renter, but these being provided is not expected or required for this to be a fantastic spot.

We had a wonderful time staying at your home, the decor was laid back and relaxed we enjoyed the outdoor space and ping pong table. We made meals in the kitchen and ate together in the dining room. It was so good to get together with family in this quaint home.

Stayed with my two sisters and two of our spouses. We all LOVED the house with its gables, builtins, creaky stairs and arched doorways. Enough space for us to not be on top of each other, but a wonderful cozy feeling. Loved the well renovated bathrooms. We were too busy visiting the sights to play pingpong but did enjoy the well set up yard. Very well situated to get to Peninsula attractions including a ferry day trip to Victoria. Please add Alder Wood Bistro and Nourish (both in Sequim) to your list of excellent restaurants.

We really loved this house. it was really great for our extended family. The house was so absolutely charming. The ping pong table was a bonus - loved playing with my teen son. We would have been happy to stay even longer!

This home is a lovely step off point for visiting the Olympic park. The gardens are beautiful, made us imagine fairies or an English garden! Home is very comfortable and clean with a well appointed kitchen, including coffee and welcome snacks! Our family of four really enjoyed the ping pong table and the side yard with fire pit. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Easy check in.

We spent a week here for my daughters elopement wedding at Olympic National Park. The house was just as pictured and described in the listing. So adorable! We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. It’s close to downtown and all the restaurants. It’s also the main gateway to Olympic National Park. That’s where we spent most of our time. Overall, it was just lovely. If I am ever back in that area, I will definitely try to rent this place again.

We so enjoyed our stay at this charming home! The interiors and garden were every bit as charming as the photos implied. The kitchen included everything we needed, the house was very clean, beds were extremely comfortable, location was close to everything. It was a perfect VRBO experience!

We loved this spot! Huge place, with adorable decor. Great spot for making dinner and relaxing after long days out hiking and exploring. Loved the expansive rooms for all us to spread out. Easy check in, easy check out.

A wonderful classic home in a very convenient Port Angeles location. Walkability of the surrounding area was excellent. It was also easy walking distance to the grocery, and general store. And a walk through the downtown shopping district is a fun way to get a little more exercise.

Stayed at this house after we sold our home in Port Angeles and before our new place was ready. The stay was enjoyable and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. You will, however, need to have all household supplies. The main bathroom with a shower is located downstairs while all the bedrooms are upstairs. There is a bathroom upstairs that has a bathtub only.

Good location and lots of space for our group of 5 adults. Kitchen and bathrooms had everything we need. Owner was very responsive to questions.

We stayed 3 nights and hiked around Olympic National Park. The VRBO is 3 minutes from the entrance to the road for Hurricane Ridge, which unfortunately was closed during our stay.. The rental is well appointed, especially the bathrooms, as both were updated. I’d have preferred the upstairs bath to have a shower instead of a tub. The downstairs shower was perfect! The owner provided more towels than I’ve ever seen in a rental and the owner’s artistic touch is in every nook of the charming home. The only negative of our stay is that my 57 yr old legs found walking up and down stairs to the bedrooms to be cumbersome, as we hiked several miles each day. Port Angeles is a great location as it offers many amenities that are very sparse or non existent if you stay in the various Lodges throughout Olympic Natl Park.

The house is very charming, nice new bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and decorated so very beautifully! Lots of space and interesting decor! We really enjoyed riding the 2 bikes down to the wharf. We had fun with the pingpong table and dartboard. They have a record player and electric fireplaces in 3 rooms. Keep in mind it is an old house...creaky staircase, a bedroom door that won't shut completely closed. All three bedrooms are upstairs with one bathroom. The second bathroom is downstairs. The ceiling in the bedrooms is slanted, not high. The photos make the rooms look larger than they are, and make the yard look so lush and beautiful, but the flower beds were all dead, lawn brown, not watered when we came in August, so the yard was disappointing. The backyard pictured is only about 12 feet square and there is no entry from the house directly...you must go outside onto the driveway to enter the backyard through a gate. Neighbor has a big dog that is kept in their front yard and barks wildly if you walk by...kinda scary. After that neighbor's house is a park with big trees and some homeless people sleeping there. Grocery store (Safeway) is just a few blocks away. The visitor's center to Olympic National Park was 5-10 minutes away. There were snacks on arrival, plastic wrap and lots of ziplock bags, condiments in the fridge and spices, oil, to cook with which was really appreciated! This is a charming house with a lot of character...a fun departure from the norm.
