Mixed feelings about this one. Hosts were responsive, and much of the home was thoughtfully prepared. Twin mattresses under each king bed meant we had plenty of sleeping space for parents and children alike! Bathrooms are beautiful and spacious. The description of the house as a beach house was not completely truthful, as the thousands of dead and decaying horseshoe crabs made the beach hardly a place you’d want to spend time. We were a party of six adults and six children, and the kids did have a blast at the nearby nature center learning about the crabs and local ecosystem. The water is vile, even a couple miles down the way at the beach near the fire station. I would definitely keep children out of the water—it turned all our swimsuits a sick gray color and left an oily texture. The pollution levels register some of the worst in the nation.
Ants were everywhere, which isn’t surprising at a beach house, but even with traps in many rooms, they remain a major problem. We found a live mouse in one of our bags in a bedroom on our third day. Also, the many flights of stairs made it not safe at all for toddlers and infants. That said, the kitchen was well stocked in terms of plates, appliances, glassware. The washing machine and everything worked very well. Most of the condiments in the fridge and many spices in the cabinets were out of date, some of them by several years. Several features were broken, like a screen door to the main deck and large outdoor table umbrella.

This is a beautiful home and they have everything fully stocked. If you forget something most likely you can find it somewhere is this house. If you’re looking to get away from home perfect place for a family. For those beachgoers I would look for something more south.

We had a great time together relaxing after long hot days of lacrosse. Was amazing to stay home and cook healthy food and sleep in a clean house with friends. Views were amazing. Thanks you!

Our stay at this beautiful beach house could not have been better. The owners went above and beyond communicating to us about our stay. The house was extremely clean and we had so much space for our family. We would 100% stay again!

Stayed at the house during a lacrosse tournament at DE Turf. Short ride to fields. Remote but relaxing and close enough to go to Rehoboth Beach for dinner. Great alternative to area hotels

Pros: The house itself was really nice, with well stocked kitchen and linens. Lots of parking. Hosts are very responsive too.
Things to be aware of: Yes there were lots of bugs, but that’s what you get with the secluded location. If you’re planning a beach trip just be prepared that the close beaches aren’t great for swimming so you’ll still have to travel many miles for the good ones. The next door house is under construction, so there could be some extra noise depending on when you’re there.

Nice house on inside. However pictures provided with write up for house, did match reality. No 360 view. No quiet. House next door under construction and nearest beach that is “walkable” is covered with 1/4 mile of manure. Would not recommend house or area to friends. Would not have chosen this house at more than $1000 per night if had full story. Renter can say what they like- area is not awesome for families or people who like quiet or beaches. Tried to deal with Renter and got more than a dozen emails back and a demand for ME to apologize. Just too much to deal with on vacation.

The home was very clean, very well stocked kitchen, had wonderful patios to spread out and enjoy meals and cocktails outside. It also had a hot tub and sauna we enjoyed very much! The elevator was so helpful for our elderly grandmother and for packing/unpacking. Extra bedding/pillows and stored matresses were great! Communicating with owners was easy, they were always very helpful! We visited other beaches, nearby one was full of dead or dying horsehoe crabs during mid July. Great things to do in nearby areas for families. We had a great time!
