You’ll be instantly charmed by the wood-lined coziness of the unique Captain’s Place, a handsome 1903 two-story in north Lincoln City, steps from the beach. Located one home down from public access with a staircase to miles of sandy beach, this home retains nostalgic charm as it spoils you with modern luxuries, including a hot tub on the outside deck. The home’s inviting living room has leather chairs and a sofa surrounding a huge flat-screen TV and a sweet gas fireplace with a river-rock hearth. A dining table looks out paned windows to the quiet street outside, or you can dine facing the ocean on one of the decks outdoors. The fully equipped kitchen also houses a washer and dryer. Climb down a few steps to a sleeping area with French doors that open to the hot tub, or climb up to two adorable bedrooms, one with its own gas fireplace and the other with a private deck. You’ll love the feeling of history and the warmth of the honey-hued wood lining every wall and ceiling, courtesy of the retired Columbia Riverboat pilot who built the home at the turn of the 20th century. You’re minutes from dining, shopping, golf, hiking, and the Chinook Winds Casino but ensconced in a residential neighborhood that will make you feel right at home. Very sweet, cosy, comfortable house. The beds were super, the kitchen well stocked, and we enjoyed feeling like we were tucked into a beautiful captain’s retreat. Great location. Close to everything, but down off the main drag so we were out of the mouse and traffic. Really enjoyed our stay.,

Came to stay for my mom's 79th birthday. Family from Idaho, Nevada And Wyoming came. The house was just perfect for the 7 of us. Loved every minute! What an amazing place! Clean, cozy and in the perfect location. We will be back!

Place was perfect for a quick family get together. Close to the beach and to town and great family space to gather in evenings. Kitchen was well stocked, bedrooms were good size and place was very clean. Would gladly stay again!

Cleaning job was done poorly, I left the place cleaner than when we got there. There was no soap in the dispensers and I asked for some but we never received it.

We loved our stay here. If you sleep upstairs you can hear the ocean while you sleep. We used the jacuzzi which was very nice. Its a very short walk to the beach down some stairs, even in winter we loved walking on the beach. We cooked breakfast every morning, the stove is very nice and new. We did some laundry the washing machine and dryer are newer as well. Its a very charming cabin, so it was perfect for a cozy wintertime stay! We would stay here again happily!!!

The Captains Place was a wonderful home where our family could gather to celebrate and celebrate enjoy time together. Plenty of room on the back deck to clean and celebrate a crabbing adventure. Kitchen had amenities to cook and serve a large family meal. Young children and teen were entertained by the easy beach access and toys at the property. We were grateful to have been able to use this friendly home as our own!!

We LOVED how close the cabin was to the beach- just past one house and down the stairs! We could easily come and go to the beach first and last thing each day and anytime in between our excursions around the coast. Low tide was especially fun to explore. The bedrooms in this cabin worked out perfectly for the 7 of us. Loved listening to the ocean out on the upper patio. The property manager was very responsive and great. Look forward to our next visit!!

We booked this property for our daughters Quarter Century Birthday Bash, and it was perfect! Very charming and spacious home with excellent energy. Very comfortable and clean; beautiful decks where you can both hear and see (upper deck) the ocean. The beach access was better than expected and the beach is dreamy! We had eight adults and there was plenty of space for everyone and the property really has everything you need for an amazing and comfortable time, including 24-hour immediate support for when you forget the door code at 11pm on your first night there. We loved it! Totally worth the price. Thank you, thank you for the magical memories!!

Adorable Cottage
Full of charm and comfort, this house was a pleasure to rent. Most rentals are stocked with minimal items in the kitchen, but not this house. It is everything you need and more if you are inclined to cook. Very close to the stairs that lead to the beach, nice deck, views, and you can hear the ocean. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat.
