Cosy cottage right in the heart of the village

Very comfortable with fantastic attention to detail. Clean and well thought out. High end feel to the facilities and right in the center of the village.

Directions of how to find the property & where to park could be improved. The parking permit was great for the car park once we got into the property, but more information beforehand would have been appreciated.

The cottage gave us everything and more that we hoped for, for our special time in Alfriston.

We loved the position of la Rose Cottage, right in the heart of the village. It is beautifully decorated. Is very well equipped. Actually, the best equipped airb&b we have stayed in! It’s comfortable and cosy. (Though as we were there for our sons wedding in the village church. We had a lot of family dipping in and out at all times. ) The free parking ticket was such a lovely thought too. Thank you.

a very pleasant stay in a quaint cottage in the centre of a beautiful medieval village.

it was a lovely location in the centre of the village. Clean & cosy, refurbished but original features! it was very convenient to have parking using a parking permit to use in a local car park .

there was no outside area!

Excelllent

The cottage is beautifully done, it is super clean and in a very central location. My parents absolutely loved their stay here.

The only additional bonus would be some outdoor space but I am just being greedy now :)

Great cottage in a lovely location

This cottage has recently been completely refurbished and they’ve done a lovely job. There’s plenty of space for a couple, no problem at all, and everything’s really good quality, comfortable and works well. We couldn’t fault any of the rooms and the bed is particularly good. It’s 20m from the bottom of Rope Walk near the square in the centre of the village and couldn’t really be more convenient for strolling out to everything. There are 3 good pubs in the village and at least 2 more close by within easy walking distance (they all do food). The whole area is beautiful and great fun to explore and this is a lovely little cottage.

Unfortunately Booking.com overcharged us due to what appeared to be a fault in their system. To cut a long and very frustrating story short we’ll never use them again, but the owners of this property themselves did kindly organise a refund for us in the end. I’ll just use a different booking service next time.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage, Toby was very helpful.

Property is newly and very tastefully refurbished, very well equipped, and comfortable. It was immaculately clean. It's location right in the heart of the historic village of Alfriston, was ideal for walks and access to characterful pubs/restaurants and shops. Its not possible to park right outside but this is easily resolved with a short walk to nearby roads, where onstreet parking is easily available.

We found nothing to dislike about Rose Cottage, and would book again without hesitation.

Everything was great

The accommodation was perfect. Well equipped with good quality fixtures, very comfortable. The location could not be better if you are a walker as it sits right on the South Downs Way. The village is picture postcard with at least 3 excellent pubs all within 50 yards.

Booking.com advertise the property as without internet, but to my surprise, it DOES have internet, which worked very well. This was a pity because if I had known, I would have stayed longer (I had an online meeting so I booked other inferior accomodation instead).
