About this cottage rental
Waterfront cottage ideally located minutes away between downtown Sturgeon Bay and Potawatomi State Park. Year round rental offers something for all seasons. Enjoy Autumn colors, winter activities, and summer fun. 75 ft shoreline, permanent dock to tie up your boat, walk or bike the many trails in Potawatomi State Park. Cross country ski in the park or ice fish on Sturgeon Bay in the winter, or boat, fish and swim in the summer. If you're lucky, you might even catch the dazzling Northern Lights. Enjoy year round dining in Sturgeon Bay, or drive up into the peninsula to visit Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Sister Bay, and beyond.
Property has 3 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom with a tub/shower. 1 main level bedroom has a Queen bed with memory foam topper, 2nd main level bedroom has a Full size bed with a memory foam topper. Upstairs has a Queen bed, a double bed and XL-Twin, also a futon is available in the sunroom on the main level. A fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs, and a gas grill on the porch. There are 2 dining areas plus a large deck overlooking the water. Plenty of parking, even for your boat trailer.
You can swim right off the dock, but the waterfront had to be reinforced recently with large boulders to protect the shoreline, so we lost our nice sandy beach. It still is great for swimming, or fishing off of the dock, but you will need to wear water shoes as we now have some zebra mussels at the bottom of the bay, and some smaller rocks. I have floaties and lounge chairs located in the shed for enjoying the water and sun!
We welcome dogs of any kind for a fee, as long as they are potty trained and not destructive to the property. I can supply a small/medium size wired crate if needed for your smaller dogs.
Sturgeon Bay is a great area to enjoy Door County. We have the only Pickleball court in Door County, also a skateboard park, large dog park, Potawatomi state park, miniature golf, waterfront with the new Maritime Museum, harbors, boat rentals, lots of boutiques, antique shopping, and restaurants that are open year round. Kayak the waters and check out the glacial bluffs and caves, and many shipwrecks are visible on a clear day. Just a short drive north to explore all the wonders of Door County, including beaches, State Parks, a ferry ride to explore Washington Island, and tour the many Lighthouses.

View is amazing, the place was clean, beds super-comfortable, handy location for restaurants and shopping. I want to go back!

Wonderful cottage on the bay! The owner was awesome with communication. The only thing that we wished was better was the dock. It’s a rusty giant piece of concrete with nothing to protect your boat. We tied pieces of a pool noodle on the wood. Other than that we had an amazing stay!

We loved our stay in Sturgeon Bay! The house was everything we had hoped for! We especially loved the four season room, the deck, the dock for fishing and the view! The location was great for beaches and close to restaurants and stores!

We had a thoroughly relaxing week. Everything we needed available in the house. Quiet despite being in town. Very convenient to several yummy restaurants and fun shops. On the water for lovely breeze and front row seats for the Sturgeon Bay fireworks on 4th of July! amazing!! Sun porch and deck were our constant hang out spots. Easy to take day trips to other little towns and adventures on the peninsula. AND we all slept like rocks- thanks to the comfy beds:)

Our stay was nice. The home had everything that was listed. The waterfront view was nice to wake up to and fall asleep to. We had enough space for everyone. The cottage itself is not spacious, so your group needs to be okay with being cozy. It definitely has a "vintage" feel with the kitchen appliances and some of the decor. The Door County weather didn't cooperate for us to use the outside as much as we would have liked to, but that is not the property owner's fault. Jill was easy to communicate with throughout the week.

It was beautiful to wake up to the sunrise on the lake. So close to the water. Close to shopping and restaurants. There was 8 adults and we were all comfortable with the space. Beds were so comfortable to sleep. Just wished it had another bathroom, dishwasher and a cheap toaster. Toaster oven took forever and just made the toast crunchy and not brown. Small detail. They have everything to make meals. Loved the old fashioned fridge and stove. Good place to stay

we all really enjoyed our stay- Grandma and Grandpa, Mom and Dad, our 7 month old baby, and 5 year old dog! Lots of space to play or spread out- especially the large deck. Great location and owner suggestions for food and activities were spot on. Just had such a lovely time

The cottage was adorable, my nieces loved the vintage touches . The upstairs bedroom that accommodated 3 beds was a hit with the girls..adults at that! Reminded me of my family home growing up in the 50’s. We spent most of our time on the deck from early morning to sunset when we weren’t exploring the peninsula. The sunroom was our next favorite spot and all the furniture was comfortable . Jill provided everything that we needed in the kitchen including basics like spices and such. The cottage is on a dead end road on the bay sheltered by lots of trees .
Our very minor complaint would be the drip coffee pot took forever to brew. We discovered the Keurig too late .
Jill is a great host and answered my queries prior to arriving promptly!

Our stay at this charming property was truly delightful! From the moment we set foot on it, we felt an immediate sense of home. As for the waterfront views, they were absolutely breathtaking, particularly the extraordinarily beautiful sunrises. The assistance provided by the property owner was wonderful and added to the experience. We'd book again without hesitation!

This home was perfect for a little get away. We woke every morning to coffee and a beautiful view of the water. Location was great. We used this as a base while we explored the beautiful Door County area and all of us were pleased with the entire experience. Jill has provided a wonderful space to relax in her very peaceful home.

Such a charming cottage! We ended up spending more time in than going out because we enjoyed it so much! Very well located to all the Sturgeon Bay restaurants and conveniences, and to the rest of Door County. Very well equipped kitchen - we cooked many meals and had everything we needed. Beautiful views from the dining room, sun porch and living room. Very clean and well stocked with towels, blankets, etc. Lovely property with a nice, big driveway. Jill was very accessible and even decorated for Christmas for us! We loved enjoying the lights and the fire each evening. Truly hope to return again soon!

We had a wonderful fall weekend at this gem on the bay. The host was so kind and this was such a cozy spot from our family of 4 and dog. The highlight of the weekend was having dinner in the Sun room and seeing an Eagle soaring over the house and bay the same day we visited Peninsula State Park and hiked the gorgeous Eagle trail and up the Eagle Tower overlooking Eagle Bluff. The ferry to Washington Island is a little over an hour from the house. Also, don’t miss Cave State Park about 25 minutes from the house. The gas grill isn’t the best, but we made it work. Overall five stars.

Stunning views & Cozy Cottage
Loved this home, it had a cottage vintage feel that was so inviting. We stayed here with our two year old and our two dogs and had a wonderful time. The home is close to town and close to Potawatomi State Park. I run and it’s about .75 miles to the park and running in there in the morning was beautiful. Thank you and we hope to be able to stay here again!
