Only 35 minutes from Yosemite National Park, 20 minutes from Bass Lake, and 10 minutes from town, this quiet, secluded cabin is the perfect place to recharge in between adventures. Whether you’re stargazing in the hot tub, brunching on the covered patio overlooking mountain views, or sitting next to the fireplace, this fully stocked, private haven will whisk you away from all of your worries.
The Space:
This beautiful house has a covered patio with outdoor dining area. It will be an excellent place to recharge for adventures. Enjoy the views of the Sierras while listening to the sounds of nature in your private retreat.
There is a fully stocked kitchen ready to make gourmet meals. We have a coffee maker, hot water boiler, microwave, and toaster oven.
The living room has a Roku Smart TV and Klipsch surround sound system with Bluetooth connectivity. During the colder months, cozy up next to the fireplace with your glass of wine. There is wifi and good cell service on all carriers. We even provide a dedicated workstation so you can work from home on your extended stay!
For accommodations, we have 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. We have one king bed, one queen bed, a bunk bed with one full and one twin, and plenty of couch space to sleep. Please note that bedding may not exactly match that in the photos as we change them after every stay!
Guest access:
This property is on 8 acres of land. There is a workshop in the center and another tenant occupied house on the end. Both of these structures are very far from this house, so you will have plenty of privacy. You are welcome to explore all 8 acres, but please do not disturb the permanent tenants or workshop.
The roads on the property are gravel, but all cars can make it.
You must go up 5 stairs to the deck to get to the front door. Therefore, this house is not wheelchair friendly.
Pets are allowed! However, we ask that pets are kept off of all furniture and that you clean up after them. Additional cleaning fees will be charged for pet related cleaning, including fur.
*Please remember to check if Yosemite and other attractions need reservations. Most reservations will fall during the summer and holiday weekends throughout the year*
Other things to note:
We are in the mountains on an unfenced property with abundant wildlife. Do not be alarmed if you see wildlife on the property. That being said, please keep pets close at all times and on leash!
Check in and check out will be with a lockbox code.

Great place to chill out and easy access to lots of outdoor stuff.

Lovely home in a quiet location, while still being close to Bass Lake, Yosemite, and the Sierra National Forest.

Nice property open space three bedrooms two bathrooms. One bedroom master bedroom with bathroom. Large deck with a table that seats six hot tub although we do not use it. Recommend this for relaxing place to stay. Although I think the master bedroom needs to switch the mattress out lol I did not enjoy the mattress. Everything else was greatand had no issues checking or checking out. Close to Oakhurst and Blake. Had a beautiful drive to Yosemite with two different directions. They are both beautiful drives.

We enjoyed the hot tub and the privacy and the proximity to Oakhurst. We were able to cook all our meals and wash our laundry without any complications. The wildlife included the neighbor's Pyrenees!

What an incredible place! The property is spacious and beautiful with lots of natural light, 2 bathrooms, a large living room, dining room, full kitchen, excellent Wi-Fi, big porch, washer and dryer and of course the hot tub! Seems like our host thought of everything to make us comfortable, from extra blankets to coffee, Saran Wrap and Tupperware (for snacks and sandwiches to take hiking). Gorgeous 25 min drive to amazing Yosemite! Star gazing was also lovely. Would definitely return and highly recommend! Thank you!

Great area for a vacation. Enjoyed our stay. Everything was made easy for my family and friends.

This was in a great location to get to and from Yosemite and other neighborhoods, but the house and property were much different for us than the photos showed. The space is much smaller than it appears and there was no grass on the property. Everything was overgrown with foxtails, making it unsafe for our small children and dogs to run around freely. This was one of the reasons we chose this house so it was rather disappointing. Due to their cleaning company being busy that week, the house was not properly cleaned before our stay. The floors were very dirty, which ultimately resulted in our toddler getting sick to which I finally cleaned the floors with a swiffer myself. The water pressure in the kitchen was nonexistent so doing the dishes was quite the chore. There was also an ant problem that persisted during our entire stay, regardless of keeping the areas clean. Our host did refund part of our cleaning deposit, which we really appreciated but for the amount of money we paid for this house it was a disappointing experience for our family reunion. For low maintenance guests, it's probably perfect but we had small children and dogs to look after. One other thing to note is that the AC vents are on the floor and cooling the house down took several hours due to the heat.

As a family we were looking for a quiet place to bond and relax after river rafting. This property fit the bill. The kitchen was large enough for us to cook our meals and the bedrooms were clean. We loved our stay and look forward to renting this property again. 😀

Perfect place for our small group! Clean property, everything worked, and the owners were responsive to questions before our stay. We’ll definitely book again!

This is a lovely rental, with a well-equipped kitchen, lots of space, a great deck, and a fantastic hot tub under the stars!
My quibbles are minor: the property is advertised as pet friendly, but better described as pet tolerant. After booking we were informed that pets are not allowed on the furniture and extra fees would be charged if there was any evidence of our blue heeler left behind. This required constant vigilance about our sheddy and snuggly dog. We avoided extra fees, but constantly minding our dog to prevent her from breaking the rules really took the shine off what was otherwise a lovely weekend.

My family and our dog had a great nights stay at this house enjoying the surround sound movie night and star gazing in the hot tub after enjoying playing in the snow all day. Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting to stay near Yosemite National Park.

Very tidy and well equipped. Everything our family needed was available. The owner was always quick to respond. The view from the front porch was very nice and the sunset was fantastic. I attempted to take a photo, but it did not do it justice. The house is also great for star gazing.

Very close to Yosemite, Bass Lake, and other area attractions. We enjoyed the hot tub and stars (without turning up the heat because it was so hot and muggy) every evening. Host was very responsive.

Whirl Wind 4 Day
Our stay at this location was perfect. The location was spot on. We wanted to take our mom to San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Bass Lake and Sequoia National Park. This stay allowed us for so all four places in 4 days. It’s in a little secluded area and is nice if you like the outdoors, peace and quiet. The quarters were nice, only thing that was missed was on more bathroom, ( we thought we could work it with 2 but 3 bathrooms….always nice. 😊
