This home is in a perfect location. Beautifully furnished. Very quiet.

Bedding/bath towels/& laundry were great.Kitchen had most of what was needed, but things were in odd places &some items neededcleaning, chipped dishes μgs. Dishwasher worked well, however the door fell to the floor when opened (hinge broken?). Oven door did the same &almost fell off.Thefridge works but doors do not close well. freezer did not close all the way so the alarm kept going off. No ice trays to make ice so had to buy ice.
Exterior was LOADED with dog poop, which we found annoying since we picked up after our dog as required and he only stayed two days. There was an ATV at the steps with fishing poles stern around it,a pair of underwear on it &keys in the ignition. a fair amount of trash outside of the house on the grounds &in the drive, giving us concern for the kids since some of it was sharp items. Kids were really not able to play in the yard bc of the dog poop.1 of the upper windows above the book/game closet was wide open without a screen &we ended up with small flying ants by the second day.called VACASA & explained the window, freezer, debris. They called the local mgmt company who said we had a mini fridge in the kitchen &a fridge in the bar area. True, but the bar fridge did not have a freezer and the mini fridge was like a dorm fridge..couldn’t hold much frozen food. We found a ladder & closed the upper window ourselves.house not worth the money charged given the lack of response by local mgmt and conditions we had to contend with.

We were disapointed in this property. Upon arriving, the lock box holding the keys was hanging open with the keys visible. The heat was not working the first two days. A tech came the second day and replaced a motor but our master bedroom and bath never had heat. The freezer door was open about 3/4 of an inch. A different tech came to try to fix it (he couldn't) and to try to get the internet up (finally came up the second day). The dishwasher door has a broken cable so the door would just fall to the ground if you didn't guide it. The sink in the bathroom off the game closet wouldn't drain. The master bed had pilly sheets and were so thin we could see that there wasn't a mattress pad cover on it. Yuck. There were cobwebs in the windows and spider webs on some of the stair rails. The whole front panel of the oven was just hanging when you opened the oven door. One of the techs secured it with a bungy cord . Whoever we spoke to for the first two days of our stay, Sierra, was very responsive but I didn't appreciate spending the first two days of my vacation scheduling workmen to come over to fix things and then not really getting a good fix. For the amount of money we paid, I really do expect better property management. I felt like we were doing their work for them pointing out all the problems. This really makes me want to rethink ever using VRBO again. The house itself had good bones and was solidly built but a team needs to go in and do some repair work.

This was our first time staying in Tahoe. This house was the prefect location for us. Great local restaurants nearby. The property was stunning and very nicely upgraded and plenty of space for 10 of us. It had a wide variety of games and videos to entertain us and a hammock and treehouse outside for the kids.
The 4 star review was because garage doors were not working and we had to leave cars parked outside. There were also some towels left inside when we got there and not sure if cleaning crew forgot to pick them up. All the rooms had hot water except the master bedroom which took forever to get hot.
Overall great, clean, modern property!!!!

House was modern, comfortable & clean with few exceptions. Lot of good place to meet together or separately. Lot of games and puzzles. updated appliances. I would recommend. Reason for not giving 5 stars: I had to call customer service to get in the house as instructions were incorrect and the passcode to enter the club house was also incorrect. There is swimming pool and dry sauna but under construction so only swimming pool was available. had lot of useful appliances but most of the mugs were chipped. Better bring some hot cups. plenty of pots and pans and oven works great. BBQ was also nice.
House didn't provide dishwasher detergent so had to purchase to use dish washer. plenty of dishwashing liquid. Freezer was not very clean and previous user left some stuff so I had to throw them out. customer support is 24/7 so was able to get assistance.

We had a wonderful stay at Modern Mountain Getaway. We were 4 families (8 adults, 1 toddler) and everyone was comfortable with their own rooms. The house was clean upon arrival. Bathrooms had plenty of towels for all. Lots of games to play! We appreciated the 2 grills (only used one) and all of the outdoor deck seating. We spent one day at Skylandia beach (3 minute drive) and one afternoon at the pool. So convenient! 5 minute drive to Safeway and all the shops. Thank you Vacasa for your excellent communication. We will definitely look at this house to rent in the future.
