About this apartment rental

Spacious one-bedroom apartment with great natural light. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Boston. The apartment includes one bedroom, dining room, living room, a full kitchen and a bathroom with tub/shower. We are within a 10-12 minute walking distance to the Arnold Arboretum - a great spot to experience the outdoors in Boston - and a 7-8 minute walk from Roslindale Village; with many bars, restaurants, shops and a local farmer's market to enjoy. Forest Hills MBTA station is a 20-minute walk away. Guests have access to the back porch and our large and sunny back yard. There is a TV in the bedroom with access to premium streaming services. Off-street parking available in our large driveway. Washer/dryer is available to guests upon request. This is a multi-family home and owners live in the second floor unit. Units are separated by two locking doors and guests have access to the rental unit through private entrances in the front and back of the house.

Nice place, easy access, close to comodities. The horse, very impressive has a glue or varnish smell that is a bit perceptible, even from the dining area. Overall great. Thanks for the flexibility. Hope we left it ok.

I was actually pretty dissapointed in this rental. I wasnt aware that the owner lived upstairs, which is fine, but you can hear people walking around and talking when you go in and out. The house is also kind of confusing with where you can and cannot go. There are a lot of doors, and some areas lead right upstairs to the family living in the house. My biggest qualm is that, given the host lives right upstairs, you would think that the place would be spotless and extra care would be taken. However, it was dirty in the bathroom with hair, dust and dead bugs next to the sink. There were also empty shampoo/conditioner/and soap bottles in the shower and on the windowsill. The kitchen was also extremely basic and there were empty ice cream containers in the freezer and other random stuff in the fridge. The fridge smelled like bad leftover food. The living room had no television in it but instead had a 7 foot wooden horse statue that my husband hit his head on because its in a weird pose and position in the living room. The living room was not very cozy or inviting. The bedroom consisted of a very basic bed which wasnt that comfortable and didnt even have any other furniture besides a desk and an aluminum shelving unit which a small tv sat on. While, the host seemed nice and answered the few questions I had, for the price I paid for 4 nights, a lot more thought should have gone into this apartment before turning it into a rental. I was very underwhelmed and disappointed.

Property location was perfect and it was nice having a parking space. Hosts were very helpful and place had everything I needed.

we enjoyed our stay overall. Bed was too soft in our opinion and we would have liked to have a ceiling fan in the living room and bedroom. The fan would have kept us from running the AC units most nights. Other than that it is a very nice unit and would stay again if we are in the area again.

Jonathan was very considerate, warning us about a small problem with kitchen faucet and about service people who would be coming during our stay (outside our unit). I took a star off on cleanliness because, in all honesty, the washer/dryer in basement were not very clean. It is an older house, but all the primary areas where we stayed were clean and ready for our visit.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days during a trip to Boston this past week. The property is very clean, the neighborhood is very safe, and the owner is fantastic. He was available but never bothered us or popped in unannounced. He even let us know when there would be painters in the upstairs apartment to give us a heads up, very thoughtful but again, not overbearing. The apartment is in an older house so some of the floorboards creak and some cabinets don't close all the way etc but honestly, it gives the apartment so much charm and helps make it feel homey instead of sterile. The transit is about a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment and with google maps directions it literally tells you exactly where to walk and what bus/subway line to jump on. So simple. We got ready every morning and spent the entire day in the city, coming back at night and even at night the neighborhood felt safe. Check in was simple, place was well taken care of, and Jon even gave us a heads up on some of the best places to eat/visit nearby - fantastic all around!

We stayed while attending Boston Calling and the apartment was the perfect option. It was a nice size, and a good distance from the city but close enough to everything we needed! Very cute place!!

Great location for our stay in Roslindale. Comfortable and clean. Appreciate Jonathan allowing an early check in and keeping us informed of work being done on the outside of the house. He was easily reached when we had a question. Would definitely recommend for others wanting to stay in or around Roslindale.

Very neat and clean and a convenient location for my husband and me. We wanted a ground floor location near our family so this fit the bill. We had need for a grab bar to use in the tub/shower and we had one by the end of the day. I found the bed very comfortable. It was too soft for my husband who has mobility issues due to Parkinson's Disease and has trouble rolling over or getting out of bed but that's true for just about any bed he tries. We did not use the kitchen but it looked well equiped.

A very nice property just the perfect size for two, with amenities to have a comfortable lengthy stay. We loved the back yard with garden and rabbits. Our 16 month old granddaughter loved it also. easy access to running trails and Roslindale. Jonathan was very nice and attentive to our needs. We would definitely recommend this home and will return if its available.

I flew in from Detroit with my fiancée and we stayed M-F just relying on public transportation. We took advantage of the train station basically down the street to get around and it was so convenient! The area and the apartment itself was very cute and comfortable to stay in for the week we were there. Definitely would stay here again when we travel to the area.

Great experience in a 100 yr old home

Lots of good things. 1st floor unit so easy entry, parking, clean, most everything works and if anything was amiss the host wanted to know, great deck overlooked well maintained back yard, decorated nicely with a fun things. Jon gave us our privacy but was there when needed and responded quickly. A few minor quirks as expected with an old home but Jon was eager to know about them. Would definitely return on future visits to Boston.

This property in Roslindale was all that and more. The house (apartment) was everything we were looking for it was super clean, bright and airy, we had that homey feeling as soon as we saw and entered the property. The property is located within a twenty minute drive to Boston. Less then a five minute walk to the “T” and all points north and south. Roslindale has many good restaurants and bakeries all within walking distance from the property. So if your looking for quite and comfort or a place within striking distance of the big city this is the place that offers you both! We will use this location again on our next trip to the northeast.

Amazing find, the best all-around stay

I’ve stayed at dozens of short-term rentals and this was hands down one of the best all-around experiences. The host Jon was incredibly helpful and responsive and the place itself is great—there’s also a wonderful back yard and a great park nearby for kids. We were in town under difficult circumstances and this stay made it so much easier. Thank you!

This is a real find! Thoughtfully and artfully arranged. My partner and I stayed for a few nights but could have - and would have - stayed longer. The apartment is just the right size for a couple to live and work easily together. It's more spacious than you might expect and has amazing light in the morning. The apartment has a cool vintage feel but is also clean and well cared for. The linens are new and quality. The bed is comfortable. The walls offer cool artwork and the shelves have amazing books on hand. It felt super easy to spend time there. As a guest, you feel cared for. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. Jamaica Plains is just down the road, so easy shopping and dining. We come to Boston often to visit family and will be checking this listing for future visits for sure. It's one of the best places we have found for an affordable and delightful stay. 10 out of 10 for sure!

Perfect for a night away

I can't say enough good things about Jonathan and this cute apartment, I actually wish we had planned on spending MORE time in the unit! Husband and I were in town for a Sox game. Property is located on a quiet one way street, a 20 minute Uber ride from Fenway. Jonathan had the ac going upon arrival, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Definitely making this my go to for future Boston trips :)
