As you pull into the driveway, the beauty of this impeccably well-kept classic beach cottage will immediately impress you. Before you climb the deck stairs to the main level, do yourself a favor and stop for a moment to take in the opulent, heated pool. When you eventually enter the house, you will be greeted by a spacious entry area, well-stocked kitchen with stone countertops and stainless steel appliances to your left, and the open dining room straight ahead leading into a cozy living area with a smart tv and comfortable sofa bed. Just off of the living room is a luxurious master suite equipped with an exquisite king-size bed and en suite bath. If you instead pass through the kitchen, you will encounter a quaint hallway leading to a second bedroom with a queen-size bed, the laundry room with washer and dryer, and a second private bath.
Walk up the stairs, and you will come to two additional bedrooms and a third full bathroom. To your left is a comfortable bedroom with a full-size bed, private balcony, and a magnificent view of the sand dunes that rest between the neighborhood and the beach. Leave your windows open at night and fall asleep to the sounds of the crashing waves! On the other end of the upstairs is a cheerful bedroom with two twin beds that are perfect for any singles or kids in your group.
Back on the main level, grab your favorite book or beverage (or both!) and head for some quiet time on the screened-in porch, or mosey on down to the backyard for some outdoor games, or grill some juicy steaks or fresh seafood on the charcoal grill.

*ULTRA CLEAN GUARANTEE: We want guests to book with the assurance that the house will be Ultra Clean when they arrive. That's why we offer the Ultra Clean Guarantee. When a guest checks in, we guarantee that the house will be perfectly clean to their liking or we will gladly send our cleaning team out to the house to remedy the situation.
*OPTIONAL POOL HEATER: Guests have the OPTION to request that the pool heater be turned on during their stay. Please note that the availability of the pool heater is completely weather dependent. The pool heater is only available when the heater can effectively maintain the pool at a comfortable temperature (minimum water temperature of 80 degrees), which is when air temperatures are consistently at or above approximately 60 degrees (including overnight). Most years, this means that the heater is available from around mid-April until Mid-October (weather dependent). Because use of the pool heater is an optional feature, refunds will not be provided if the pool heater is unavailable during a Guest’s stay for any reason (e.g., cooler weather, maintenance, etc.).
NOTE ABOUT PARTIES, LARGE GATHERINGS & EXCESSIVE NOISE: Please also note that if you are looking for a location to host a party or loud gathering, this is definitely NOT the place for you. We have an amazing association of neighbors who work collectively to maintain the beauty and tranquility of the neighborhood. In an effort to do our part, we have a strict "no parties" policy, and the safety and tranquility of our guests and neighborhood are ensured by exterior security cameras and a Minut noise monitoring device that will immediately alert us when excessive noise levels are detected. Any guest who hosts, or attempts to host, an unauthorized gathering will be subject to immediate eviction without refund and a $500 fine (withheld from their security deposit). However, if relaxation, rejuvenation, and quality time with family and friends is what you are looking for, you will not find a more ideal setting in all of Emerald Isle!
HOUSE RULES
Guests must sign a Rental Agreement & agree to abide by House Rules.
Guests must pay a Security Deposit prior to arrival and agree to pay all costs for any damages incurred to the property during their booking.
OCCUPANTS
Guests are allowed a maximum of 10 total occupants on the property, unless they receive prior written permission from the Owners.
FUNCTIONS/PARTIES
Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited. Gatherings of more than 10 people without Owner permission will result in immediate eviction without refund.
NOISE
Excessive noise and violations of “quiet hours” (10pm – 8am) will result in a $250 fee and subject renters to immediate eviction.
PARKING
Parking is limited to a maximum of 4 vehicles
ILLEGAL ACTIVITY
No illegal activity is permitted on the Airbnb property during the Guest's stay.
SWIMMING POOL
The Guest and Guest’s Occupants are permitted to use the pool AT THEIR OWN RISK and agree to not hold the Owners responsible for any injuries resulting from the use of the swimming pool. Out of respect for our neighbors, we ask that guests only use the swimming pool between the hours of 8am to 10pm. Breakable items, such as glassware, are not permitted in or around the pool area. A fee of $200 will be charged for violations plus costs incurred for clean up.
SMOKING/VAPING
Smoking and vaping are prohibited anywhere on the property. $500 fee for violations.
PETS
Pets must be approved by the Owner in advance, and the Guest is required to pay the appropriate pet fee(s). Only small, adult dogs are permitted on the property. All dogs must weigh less than 50 pounds, be housebroken, and be at least 12 months old. No large dogs or puppies are permitted on the property. Dogs are not permitted on the furniture, must be secured in a dog crate when left alone (one is provided in the garage if necessary), and must be leashed when outdoors. Any dog that creates a nuisance for others for any reason, including, but not limited to, excessive barking or uncontrolled or aggressive behavior, will be immediately evicted from the property and the Guest will not be eligible for any refunds. Guests who bring a pet to the property without registering the pet and paying the required pet fee prior to their arrival date will be assessed a fee equal to double the standard pet fee. Guests agree to allow any unpaid pet fees to be deducted from their deposit upon checkout and to pay any remaining fees in excess of their deposit within 5 days of notification that fees are due.
ESCALATING LATE CHECK-OUT FEES
Late checkouts are not permitted without the Owner's written approval. Guests who fail to vacate the property by 10:00 AM EST will be charged escalating late check-out fees, starting at $50 fee for first 30 minutes (check out 10:01 - 10:30 AM)
$100 fee for next 30 minutes, etc. up to the full price of the Airbnb base rate for the following night. In addition, the Guest will be responsible for paying the full cost of any refunds provided to subsequent guests of the property resulting from the Guest’s late check-out
REFUNDS
Refunds will NOT be provided for events outside of the Owners' control, such as undesirable weather, natural disasters, or power outages, among others. Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance at the time of their booking, especially for stays that will be during hurricane season (August-October). We will be more than happy to find Guest any information they need to file claims with their travel insurance company.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house was an excellent place for our family! The pool is a huge highlight! House had all the amenities and then some! The little area the where the house is very nice and quiet, we would stay again. Kelly is an outstanding host!

Perfect house, very clean and well appointed, close to the beach + grocery/restaurants too, we enjoyed our stay and made good use of the pool and ping pong table and screened porch to pass time on cloudy/rainy days during TS Debbie that week. The kids were troopers and we made the best of the beach, owner was great to communicate with and would definitely visit again, 5 STARS.

We loved our stay! Such a convenient location to shops, restaurants and most importantly - the beach! The best part was how responsive our host, Kelly, was. She gave immediate responses any time we had questions and was incredibly accommodating. Great for families - a fairly large pool with lots of toys, great space for dining indoors or out, and comfortable bedrooms. Would absolutely recommend!

Great location, close to so much stuff. Host was great, we definitely had some hiccups right from the start but Kelly took care of it the best she could. We had a great time with our family. Granddaughters favorite was the pool. Other than restrictions on times you can use the pool. This should be posted on site. Private pool means you can use anytime. It’s a great house , fun times.

Our family loved staying at this property. The location was perfect. Close to shops, restaurants, and most importantly the ocean. The neighborhood was quiet and the people were very friendly. My kids enjoyed time in the pool and ping pong. Overall would recommend to anyone, and we would love to return.

The location is great, just a short walk to the beach. the pool was clean, but slightly smaller than expected. The house was clean with a functional kitchen. The bathroom amenities needed to be replenished, but we had just enough shampoo and soap to get the salt and sunscreen off of us! Communication was excellent. We loved all of the porches.

The Emerald Owl house is a hidden gem of a vacation spot! We truly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and accommodating our family with teens and offered ample space for all to enjoy. The beach is a short walk and the pool was wonderful. Note that the beach access stairs are steep and was not a problem for our family with teens but could be challenging for those with mobility issues. For us it was a 5 star experience! Kelly is accommodating and clear in communication and made our experience a breeze! We are already planning a return trip!!

I cannot recommend this home enough! It is tucked in a small half cul-de-sac surrounded by shady trees with a shaded screened in deck and a front deck that always has an ocean breeze. Our 4 yo loved "his" room - the room with twin beds that also had a few books that he loved having to read at night. The bedroom with a full sized bed had a perfect corner for our infants pack and play crib (which also could fit easily in the master bedroom). The kitchen is small but well appointed and the queen bedroom is tucked behind the kitchen. It can be closed off creating a mini-apartment for my sister and her partner.
The pool is absolutely perfect with tons of floats and toys that our 4yo had a blast with (and we loved shooting hoops!) We didnt use any of the beach stuff but it has plenty of that too including a wagon that would make a trip to the beach access easy.
The owners were easy to communicate with and so accommodating.
We are definitely planning to come back. It is perfect for our family and pup. If it is free you should book some time here! You wont be sorry!

This was the most wonderful and convenient place to stay with family. Everything was super clean and beautiful! Family fun isn't weather dependent; the beautiful beach which is a short walk, they have a ping pong table, corn hole, games, nice grill, and a beautiful pool large enough for everyone to enjoy. My family and I wonderful time at Emerald Isle for a quick getaway. Kelly, our host was extremely kind and helpful and she has made the process of checking in and out very simple. The house was great, very close to the beach and all the restaurants in town. The pool was a huge bonus and provided a lot of family fun!

First the house is beautiful! Wonder location on a quiet street. It takes less than 5 min to walk to the beach. Super close to the grocery story, miniature golf, water slides and go karts. The house is exactly as shown and the heated pool is amazing!!! For the value, location, ease of access to so many things it’s an ideal spot. I’m trying to buy it from her frankly.
Kelly is amazing to work with and very accommodating and available. Granted we didn’t need anything but she checked in to make sure we got in ok, asked how things were going and if we needed anything and finally gave us amazing recommendations (even though we have been to Emerald Isle before several new places to explore). Simple a great experience, great host, great home and location. Ideal for a family and perhaps a couple of their friends. We will definitely book again!

Kelly was an incredible host and “Emerald Owl House” was a perfect respite for my husband, me and our two Pom fur-babies. Everything about the house exuded a feeling of relaxation and comfort - no detail was over looked. Being able to check-in at 3:00, giving us an opportunity to relax before dinner (after unpacking) set the scene. The kitchen was well stocked and organized (a real plus for me) with everything needed to prepare in-home meals. The screened in porch was the perfect “dining room”. Retiring to a comfy bed each night meant that we awoke refreshed and ready to enjoy a day at the pool, beach, exploring EI, or just lounging around. Speaking of the pool - it was amazing - clean and large enough in which to swim. The neighborhood was perfect for walking our dogs and everyone we met was very friendly. The beach is a short walk from the house but one caution - the dunes are quite tall so there are quite a few steps to get across them. Since we are enjoying our twilight years we opted to rent a golf cart and drive a short distance to an easier beach access point. Many thanks to Kelly for a wonderful two weeks and we hope to return soon.

The Emerald Owl House became our vacation home right away. Very roomy, but somehow with a cozier feel than some of the “sand castle” rentals we have experienced. We couldn't have asked for a better property to spend the last week of summer. From the excellent beach location to the backyard pool, this property is a winner. Neighborhood beach access is literally a 5 min. walk to clean and never crowded beach. The house is located walking distance or a short drive to grocery stores, restaurants, shops and mini golf. The owners/managers are very responsive. The house has everything you need for a great stay. We recommend this property and would love to return!

From start to finish, Kelly’s Owl house was such a great experience for me and my family. Kelly’s communication was excellent and she made sure the pool water was to our preferred temp. The house was very clean and great floor plan. We spent equal time at the pool and down at the beach. The grocery store and much more was just a short car or golf cart ride away. We came for a baseball tournament and got to enjoy easy access to the beach and a wonderful pool during our downtime from baseball.
The host answered all my questions quickly and the house had everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend.
It is located in a very quiet neighborhood. There is an easy walk to the beach and it is located right off the bridge so close to many things.

This beach house was wonderful! It was relaxing, peaceful and fun! The location is convenient and quite, and the amenities were wonderful, heated pool, outdoor shower, pool toys, beach toy, chairs, and wagons provided. We are almost every meal out on the screened porch. It was honestly one of the best family vacations we ever had!
Kelly was a wonderful property manager that was very easy to get a hold of. We will definitely book with her again.

We absolutely loved staying here. The neighborhood is so peaceful and it’s just a quick walk to the beach. The house is very clean and has everything you’d want, and the heated saltwater pool was the highlight of our trip! We plan to return soon.

Beautifully decorated, clean home in a great location. Host was attentive to any questions we had, and explained everything in detail prior to our visit. The pool was heated and immaculate clean, kitchen was well stocked and sheets/towels were comfortable and spotless. Excellent location as well. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

That cute house has everything we needed - kitchen is fully equipped, walking distance from beach, nice and quiet neighborhood, heated pool, shops and restaurants across the street. The property was in a great location for Emerald Isle, close to so many things in the area. It was a short walk to the beach. The house was very comfortable and worked well for the size of our group. The communication with the property manager was very helpful. We hated to leave and hope to someday be back.

The attached welcome guide was very helpful for finding our way around the house and around the island as well, with recommendations & links to shopping and restaurants.

The property was beautiful, from relaxing by the salt water pool to reading on the screen porch, we enjoyed every part of the property. Walks on the beach were lovely and frequent with access so close. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the house, the pool, the location. Easy walk to the beach and stores. Close to the walking/biking trail. Everything was great. The kitchen is well stocked, even had childrens plates and utensils. Thank you so much for hosting!! We’d love to come back!

Best Vacation Rental in NC!
This brand new property is beautiful, clean and has ALL of the amenities that you could think of. We spent lots of time in the brand new pool, in the screened in porch, on the deck and in the large family room. Everything was in good order and the bedrooms are perfect for many guests with different needs. And the location is great with just a short walk to the beach and stores and restaurants. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table and the bike/walking trail nearby. We would highly recommend this property and plan on visiting again!
