Beautiful Lake House with Mountain View, 4 bedroom / 4.5 bath in private, secluded neighborhood. The house is located on Lake Rhodhiss in scenic Granite Falls, North Carolina. Two master suites on main floor. Open kitchen and great room transition to sunroom that offers stunning views of the lake and Grandfather mountain. With a reading nook and double-sided, gas fireplace you can cozy up in this inviting space. For readers, there is an amazing library in the loft with comfortable seating for curling up with your favorite book. The lower level has an additional king room, two full baths and a bunk room you'll have trouble getting the kids to leave. Wow, the house is beautiful. Lots of room for everyone. Matt, makes sure to keep in touch. And to resend info if need be Lol. We stayed with our family and some friends and enjoyed playing pool, fuse ball out on the screen porch and eating at a beauty’s table in front of huge beautiful windows. We would DEFINITELY stay again and it was the easiest stay we have ever had with VRBO

Beautiful, well maintained, clean lakeside property that was perfect for our large family gathering. Lots of fun activities at the site and in the area for the children and adults. Host was very responsive and helpful.

House was as advertised. Very comfortable for two families to meet up and enjoy the lake together.We had 4 adults and 4 kids, but definitely could have fit more with all the space. Like other reviews state the walkway to the lake is steep, but you can see that in the pictures. The driveway is also very steep, but had no reason to walk up it. Cove was very nice and people in houses near us were nice. Easy swimming around dock. Lake was calm. Especially enjoyed the SUPs.

Had a wonderful visit to this lovely Lake House! Plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms to fit a large group and the house was just as the listing stated. Very clean & nice! We did have to buy hand soap & extra garbage bags and couldn't find any beach towels so was good to pack your own. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely sunset & smores at night. The driveway is really steep & some cars needed all wheel drive to get up it. Path to the lake was also a hike, but was worth it. Would 100% stay here again!

Wonderful stay! Very clean with lots of room to spread out. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Beautiful dining room area that we used to take gorgeous bridal photos. The photographer and videographer said the lighting was excellent. We would love to stay again! Matt was very quick to answer any questions we had.

A perfect location for me, my adult daughter, and my son and family to spend a few days while visiting my Mom. The house is lovely, and despite some minor inconveniences (previous guest stole the hairdryer), we had a great time. The library is very well curated for adults and kids, and was the perfect place to read bedtime stories to my two youngest grandsons. One caution is that the path to the lake is very steep so anyone with mobility issues should probably pass on walking down to the boat dock. Highly recommend.

My sister and brothers get together every six months. We have rented many homes but this was one of the best. The layout is perfect for groups. A nice round breakfast counter is attached to the kitchen counter that is perfect for chatting. The dining room table surrounded by large windows accommodated all eight of us. The cleanliness was top-tier. Finally, the host was exceptional. Texting with him was like talking to a friend. We enjoyed a perfect few days together in this great setting.

Thank you Matthew and Jennifer for such a wonderful experience and allowing us to enjoy your luxurious LakeHouse with such a breathtaking view! Simply an absolute amazing experience! I was thoroughly surprised and very pleased with the cleanliness of the home, indoors as well as outdoors. Communication was excellent, clearly laid out and very responsive. Each of us (7 adults and 5 children) slept very well. We really loved the spacious layout, enjoyed access to canoes, the paddle boat and fishing. It was a wonderful weekend stay, a great escape to relax, have fun and celebrate life! Thank you so much for having us!!

Wow! We absolutely loved our stay here. My husband is from Granite Falls, however, we live in Maryland. This home was the perfect place to stay for our visit as it was plenty big enough for our family to hang out and leisurely spend time together. My 3.5 and 1.5 years olds especially loved the library, the bunk room, and the view of the lake from the dining room. Matt, the host, was great, super attentive to any messages. We will absolutely be back to stay again!

House was very well laid out and appointed. Spent time relaxing on the dock overlooking the lake, and the cool nights by the fire pit. Kitchen had everything needed for all our cooking needs. Beds were COMFORTABLE. Probably the most comfortable bed we have ever had at a rental. Communication with Matt was prompt and courteous. Nothing negative to say, hope to be back again some day.

This house is great for a large group. With 4 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms, plus lots of space to gather without feeling crowded. One note - both the driveway and the path to the lake are VERY steep.

This property is located in a good neighborhood, central to local stores and shopping. Beautiful large house with amazing view of the lake and mountains. Me and family of 7 adults and two small children fit very comfortably and with privacy in the house. The rooms are very spacious and well furnished. The house was clean and the kitchen fully stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit, pool table and library. I highly recommend this location for a memorable vacation.

I cannot tell you enough about this home. It is perfect for a large or small group of people. The four bedrooms are isolated on the outside of the home, which makes it easy to sleep while others are enjoying their stay. It was very clean, well kept and a perfect location. There were plenty of TVs and sitting areas for everyone. The owner was very prompt to respond to messages and very accommodating for request. The only thing I would say is to bring all of your shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers and extra cleaning supplies. I was unaware there were no hair dryers in the house. We will definitely stay here again in the future! Thank you so much Matt for sharing your beautiful home!!

The house was even more beautiful in person. We celebrated my dads 80th birthday everyone had a great time. My 11-year old niece wrote a lengthy review in the guest book. 5 star rating from the youngest to the oldest in our group!

We had a great time at this home. The views were stunning overlooking the lake as the trees were changing colors. We had three families and the sleeping situation was perfect with three king beds. We had a great time around the fire pit and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you might need. The owner was extremely responsive and even responded very late at night (unexpectedly). The driveway was a bit intimidating the first time going down but everyone got used to the steep incline.

This is a beautiful, well maintained home with lots of room for a large group. There were butterflies and deer. Extremely quiet and peaceful. Our family lived it!!! Although you can park on the street there is a very steep hill down to the house and back up to the street. The turn into the driveway is an immediate drop off making it hard to see the driveway. If you are fit and have no mobility issues you will be okay going up and down. Otherwise be a good driver with a car that won't drag on the way up or down.

We loved our stay at this beautiful property for a family get together with our 6 kids and three partners. The home got the 11 of us with space to spare. The chef’s kitchen was wonderful and bedding was so comfortable. We got our steps in going up and down to the dock, enjoying water activities. I can’t say enough about the property. Matt was very responsive when we had questions.

Had a wonderful week with adult children and their spouses. Matt was very responsive to requests. House was beautiful and had all amenities listed. One caution - if you have mobility issues the hill to the lake front is very steep. We had a great time enjoying the canoe, paddleboards and peddle boat!

This house was beautiful and had everything we wanted/needed! We took this trip back to where my dad grew up (Hickory/Granite Falls) for his 80th bday - it was very special. Beautiful views and it was a winding sidewalk walk to the lake, which was kind of long - bring a wagon! Better than doing a ton of stairs though for sure. The private dock was great - we enjoyed the canoe, pedal boat, and paddle board! The kitchen was well equipped, and the beds/linens were comfy. The kids enjoyed hanging in the reading loft and the basement. We made fires every night in the fire pit, even though it was warm outside - so fun. We will definitely be back!

This house on Lake Rhodhiss was a perfect haven for our family gathering with our children and grandchildren!! It was a beautiful escape to a hidden piece of paradise. Our children and grandchildren all said they definitely want to come back! There was so much space for everyone to relax, be comfortable, and play. And the dock area was a big hit with us all! The little ones loved feeding the fish! Our 90th birthday celebration for my mother-in-law drew us in to the area but we’re already hoping it will be an annual gathering of us all. The Host Matt was exceptional to work with and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Truly this house is a welcome fortress of solitude. By the way, definitely bring a camera for butterfly season; and be on the lookout for curious deer!

Upon arrival we were quick to notice the house was more stunning than the pictures. It is beautifully decorated and has a great layout. Our family of 10, each had our own space, with plenty of room to spare. The house has so many amenities that we were not able to enjoy all of them during our stay. The lake access is perfect, we seen very few people on the lake while we were there, giving us the feel we had it all to ourselves. We had a lot of fun with the paddle boards, peddle boat and fishing off the dock. The kitchen is every cooks dream!! Everyone enjoyed dinner together in the dining room overlooking the lake and watching the sunset. We brought our corn hole boards and had the ideal set up on the patio next to the large fire pit with plenty of seating. We couldn’t have picked any place more perfect. This place is the total package. Truly a 5 star property!

Awesome lake house

This was our first trip to lake Rhodhiss and it was beyond what I expected! House was huge, beds very comfortable, great linens, great sunsets, best bunk room, and the lake toys were very much appreciated! The only downfall is the very steep walk to water.
