Excellent location in the lake and everything and more you could ever need in the house. So many amenities - love all the lake floats. Had to work remote for a few days and the wifi was great. We will certainly be back - did not want to leave

This home is absolutely incredible! The owner went above and beyond with such personal touches when thinking about guests. Things like a well stocked tea/coffee bar, bottled water station, robes with slippers, toothbrushes, and more make you feel right at home! Everything you need is available at the home, all you'll need to do is grocery shop. The lake and lake toys were incredible. Paddle boards, floats, a wonderful dock. It was such a beautiful home, I hated to leave. The downstairs game room was perfect for entertaining. The kids had fun playing on the many available games while the adults enjoyed the hot tub and TV. My family and I will most definitely be back.

Very comfortable summer mountain house on a lake for our family get-together. Driving distance for some and access to ATL for flyers. Lots of activities both at the house and in the area (many waterfalls, white water rafting, hiking Appalachian trail, kitchy but fun Helen 'German Village', some good 'real' local restaurants (BBQ joints, nice spots overlooking river with local trout, etc.). A few of our folks even made 2 hr trip to the Georgia Aquarium one day (it is incredible).

Everything you need for a fun and relaxing time! We didn’t have to go out for anything! Stunning views

This home checks all the boxes for an extended family vacation! From grandparents to adult grandchildren, we had a wonderful stay. The home is well equipped with comfort measures and supplies to make your stay comfortable. The gathering and gaming areas kept everyone entertained and the dock and lake supplies were a nice touch. In addition to the kayaks, canoe and paddles boards, we rented a pontoon boat from the marina nearby. The larger lake is gorgeous and not too crowded for tubing or wakeboarding. There were also plenty of floats and a hot tub for those who preferred to relax with a view of the lake. The path from the house to the lake is only a slight slope and easy to maneuver which was important for the grandparents. We prepared all our meals in the kitchen and utilized the grill daily. The large dining room table was a great gathering spot and can seat 10 comfortably. We would love to return next year!

Clean, comfortable and well stocked!
The location, view, decor and fun to be had could not be better!
There are numerous great places to sit and enjoy the view of the lake. The kitchen was very well stocked with more than everything we needed to prepare and enjoy all our meals. The game room, hot tub and kayaks provided endless enjoyment and our kids loved watching football and movies on the large television in the main living room. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The host has thought of everything and prepared the house accordingly! Great job!
I will definitely be back! The worst part of our long weekend was leaving!

Everything about the home. It's a great set-up for adults and kids. Has several things to do at home you will not want to leave. Stayed 3 days and wasn't enough didn't want to go yet. If you decide to stay at this vacation getaway you won't regret it. Very clean and has all the amenities inside of home you don't need nothing but clothes.

The homeowner went above and beyond and truly seemed to think of everything. From the youngest in our family (10yrs) to the oldest (75yrs), the wows resounded. A perfect family vacation home on a beautiful, peaceful lake. We truly enjoyed it.

Big, Comfortable and fun!!
From the moment you walk in the front door all you see is the amazing views of the lake and sun and sky. That is true for the entire house as it is located very close to the lake on a gentle sloping lot. The amount of natural light in this house is just fantastic with huge floor to ceiling windows and doors and skylights everywhere. That two-story center hall with the handmade folk art canoe is incredible. The house is like a resort in terms of how it is designed and decorated and the kitchen has everything you'd want including a coffee bar with a milk frother. Bonus points for the mini-fridge and coffee set-up and dedicated desk area in the upper king suite.
We were 2 families, a total of 10 of us, and the parents both had huge private king suites with a walkout deck or balcony overlooking the lake. The rest of the family still had a queen bed overlooking the lake and two bunk rooms with a double bed and a twin bunk bed and a rollout trundle bed we didn't use. The addition of a rollaway bed and pack and play in the upper king suite was very much appreciated and used by our youngest who preferred to sleep with us. There are 4 and half baths - all newly renovated so there is never any waiting. We even had a bubble bath party for the youngest kids in the huge soaking tub in the lower king suite bath! And adults got some quiet time with a glass of wine on the upper deck beside the fire table as we watched the sun set on the lake.
But the two main things we loved about this house the most was the game room and the lake location itself. The game room has a poker table and pool table and ping pong and shuffleboard and a few dozen board games and puzzles and other games I am forgetting. Just outside the game room is a hot tub open to the sky. Down by the easy access lake walk (no steps!) there is a fire pit we used a few nights, a canoe and kayaks and paddleboards and a boat shed filled with life vests, ice chests, paddles and fishing poles and a floating dock. This place is perfect for families but also makes sure adults get big roomy suites with all of the extras you get from a resort.
This house is a memory-making dream come true! Thank you for the memories! Our highest rating and recommendation! We're already booking for a week next year!
