Really fun place in the heart of town. Lots of quirky spaces and sunset on the balcony definitely a highlight!

We enjoyed staying in this unusual property, right in the heart of Dealesford. It is well equipped, filled with antiques and thoughtfully provisioned. The wintry cold is well catered for with cental heating, air conditioners, heaters and electrical blankets. I can recommend staying here for a few nights and everything went smoothly with a few touches from the owner not going unnoticed. If we return to Dealesford with a group (we were 8), we will stay there again.

Very quirky place , beautifully renovated. Bit cold when we were there, the house takes a while to heat up, but electric blankets made it comfortable. Great verandah to sit and see the sunset

Fantastic location and perfect for a weekend away with friends. Very accomodating and approachable host. Thank you Chris

The only issue we experienced was that there was no hot water. We were told the previous tenants used all the water and that it takes time for the water to fill and heat up. Perhaps have two hot water units?

Just one issue spa in first room leaking tap otherwise all good

So close to everything in town with off street parking. Very warm. Quirky kitchen with varying equipment and I would say the pull out bed sleeps one person, not two. Otherwise, enjoyed our stay

Great location with a quirky charm.

Chris was lovely to deal with and even offered us early check in and late checkout. Location was incredible!
The decor was very eclectic and quirky- a bit art deco.
However, not sure if it’s inexperience as a holiday rental owner or staff shortage… whatever the reason, our stay was incredibly disappointing. The lawn was completely overgrown and full weeds the lawnmower was just parked up against the house, there was an old mattress base up against another wall in the yard, cigarette butts in an ashtray, dirty dusty, torn up outdoor furniture, cobwebs, dirty dishes (I could go on). The kitchen is not well equiped, although it does the job (with some creativity).
The velvet curtains and massage room are weird.
The property has so much potential, but needs a manager who has attention to detail. There wasn’t even a folder of house rules, bin days, general info etc. we wheeled the bins out when we saw neighbours had their’s out.
The property description on booking website could be more detailed.
I felt really ripped-off for the price I paid.
I wrestled with writing this review, because I don’t like posting negative reviews, but I hope it’s been constructive and potential holiday renters can make an informed choice.
If things change, we’d definitely stay again because the location was unbeatable! But if it doesn’t improve I’m afraid things will just get worse and this potentially gorgeous property will deteriorate.

Great position! Amazing property!
I would’ve marked this a 5 star but found the property on the colder side of normal comfort ! Would be great in summer !
