About this cabin rental
Whether you seek peace and solitude or lakeside fun, The Williwaw is your place to make memories. With a full kitchen, a lower level kitchenette, 2 fireplaces and 2 living areas, it's perfect for 1 or 2 families. 21,000 acres of state game lands are accessible from the backyard. The beach and dock area are just 1000 feet from the front door - close, but not so close that it ruins the solitude and quiet. Visit the many local attractions, then return to enjoy dinner among the trees on the large second story deck or roast marshmallows around a roaring fire under the stars.
If you've never heard the sounds of silence, winter at The Williwaw is the time for you. As the wind dislodges snowflakes from the trees, the early morning sun rises through the trees and makes each one shimmer like fairy dust. The crunch of snow underfoot is deafening and if you stand absolutely still, you can hear...nothing, just silence.
The Williwaw has three bedrooms on the second floor and two on the first floor. Upstairs, you will find one king bed and two queen size. All new, super comfortable mattresses with nice, crisp cotton sheets and tons of pillows to choose from. The black out curtains allow you to sleep in and enjoy your time away. Upstairs also features the full kitchen, dining room, a full bath with tub, and a living room with a gas fireplace.
If you need even more space, the downstairs features an office which has a pull out couch and a bunk room with a full over full bunk bed. There is a second full bathroom, a washer and dryer, a wet bar and mini fridge, a pool/poker/game table and a second full size living room with another fireplace.
The backyard features real wood Adirondack chairs and a firepit which can be enjoyed any time of year. We provide beach chairs and towels and the big lake beach and playground (Pines Lake) is just 1000 steps from the front door - a flat walk on a quiet street - close, but not too close to the hustle and bustle of the beach.
Our association also features a small ski hill and sledding hill with a T-Bar. The 900' drop is perfect for a relaxing family day with little ones or when you just don't want to fight the crowded hills at the several local ski resorts. Your rental includes 6 free wristbands which grant you access to the amenities at Locust Lake, which include the lakes, ski and sledding hills, and any clubhouse events. Maybe you want to watch the game with a crowd or attend paint and sip - the office will have an updated schedule of events which you can check upon arrival.
REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Additional guests (above 6) will incur a small per person fee and each vehicle will also be charged a nominal fee upon registration. Registration is done direction through the association website and we do not control the registration or fees, they are paid directly to Locust Lake Village. Registration MUST be completed 3 days prior to arrival. Door codes cannot be issued until registration is received.
PLEASE NOTE: Per a recent township regulation, maximum occupancy is 10 people. No exceptions. We do ask that occupancy is limited to 8 adults max plus children due to sleeping arrangements. Permit Number issued: 007140

This house was perfect for our family get together! We had our two adult sons, their wives and a total of three little grandchildren - a 4-1/2 yr old and two one-yr-olds. This would be the first time the little cousins met each other, so it was going to be a very special time together. The rental house, of course, would play a big part in that - which the Williwaw did! The size of the house offered two levels each containing a living area, a kitchen & kitchenette, a full bath on each level, plus bedrooms on each. This gave us room to move and accommodate everyone's needs. We loved the big wrap deck on the second level. It was clean and secure so the little ones could safely play outside. We were very excited to witness a black bear from the safety of our deck as he ran thru our backyard! The fire pit outside with Adirondack chairs & plentiful firewood was enjoyed on two evenings. We also enjoyed all the deer who would walk in and around our property.
The house itself was well maintained and provided a lot the supplies we would need (towels, dishes, pots & pans, even shampoo, conditioner & body wash in the showers). The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows.
The location of the house within the community was perfect for our needs - a short stroller walk to the beach and playground, yet on a newly paved road.
All instructions were clearly provided by the owner.
All adults agreed it was a great find & good choice for our family getaway. Thank you, Randyl & Chris!

Worst weather possible-best time ever.
So lucky to be close to beach to run out and catch rays whenever the weather-window opened. All the moving parts moved as advertised, all signage clear and helpful, cabin was roomy especially the family room where we had a chance to watch Olympics together and den where we played quite a bit of poker. So if your weather is good, you will be right in the middle of the best the Poconos have to offer and if/when you get rain, you will have a great retreat-clubhouse to enjoy some family time surrounded by great views of the outdoors.

Overall clean and accommodating. Minimal distance to the lake.

The house and location suited my family's needs perfectly. The short walk to the lake was perfect for the children, and enabled parents to return home for the younger children's nap time while the older children carried on enjoying themselves at the lake. Fishing at one of the other lakes was also thoroughly enjoyed by the older children.
The house had everything that was needed and was comfortable. The hosts were great to work with. All in all, a great vacation.

The community was calm and peaceful. The house was so clean and felt like a home away from home! Randy is so sweet and communicated quickly! We enjoyed exploring all 3 lakes without having to leave the community! Would recommend to family and friends.

The property was a 2 story house with a cabin vibe. First floor was the rec room and bunkbeds for the kiddos. Appreciate the toys for the kids. Upstairs was the main living space with an awesome deck and large grill and of course the back yard with fire pit. Overall a great experience. Would recommend window AC units for each room or a unit that can be moved around. The host was very easy to work with.

We had a great time at Chris and Randyl‘s cozy cabin in the woods. We came for a short ski weekend, and the cabin had everything we needed to keep ourselves and the kids occupied. The sleeping arrangements were perfect with the large bunkbed, pullout couches, and plenty of bedrooms on the main floor. The tvs, board games and fireplace were good for nights in and the kids loved the ring game! Would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 10 (3 families) had the most wonderful, relaxing time at The Williwaw! Plenty of space, comfortable accommodations, beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed the surrounding areas as well with tubing, outlet shopping, antiquing, walks, and local restaurants. The house was immaculate and the two living spaces worked well for our combination of adults and teenagers! We loved it so much and would love to return in the summer to experience LVV lake life! Thank you so much!

This was a great vacation for us - quiet wooded neighborhood, a beautiful & cozy house in a shady lot. The kids got to see a lot of wildlife. Our hosts communicated very well and we had an excellent time!

The lady’s from the front desk are very racist they treat me really bad , even I bought a sweater and they where nasty all the time probably because we are Spanish, because with the rest of the ppl they where so nice.
And also the guys from the garbage are so nasty ,so expensive staying to have a really bad time . Never again waist my money.

Perfect family getaway! Plenty of room for the 10 of us (6 adults, 4 kids ages 12, 5, 4, 4) From start to end, communication with Randyl was always fast and professional. The kids loved the bunk beds and the 12 yr old loved having her "own room" with the pull out sofa. Beds were so comfy! We did our own cooking the entire week, so were happy to have pots, pans etc to do so. Walmart was close by for food. We enjoyed walking to the beach, lake and playground as well as trips to Crystal Cave, Claws and Paws Zoo and Mini Golf. The cabin was spacious and very clean. We loved having enough hangers in the closet as well as hooks on the wall. Anyone who travels knows there are NEVER enough hooks..haha! We had an alarm issue in the middle of the night which scared the ** out of us, but Randyl was quick to have someone come out in the morning to fix the issue. Plenty of fluffy BIG towels as well as beach towels were there for our use. If there is one suggestion, it would be to bring a couple of fans as there is only one bedroom with AC, and one did not have any circulation, even a ceiling fan. It was a hot humid July week, so probably not an issue in the fall/spring. Another suggestion, don't waste time and space packing games/toys as they have plenty there. We spent time playing cards and family games, as well as S'mores around the fire. It was a perfect week for my husband and I, our kids and grandkids to spend quality time together making memories we will cherish forever!

The house was beautiful, warm and welcoming. The owners thought of every detail (including dishes and a leash for our dog!). Our first morning's coffee was waiting for us along with clean towels, crisp, clean linens on made beds, all of the kitchen utensils and cutlery we'd need and a BBQ grill (with 2 full tanks of propane). There was a washer and dryer with laundry detergent and even a full bag of ice in the freezer! Each bedroom was tastefully furnished and the living areas had comfy, reclining seating. The smart TVs were equipped with all the streaming apps we'd need along with basic TV channels and super fast WiFi. The owners, Randyl and Chris, were quick to reply to all of our inquiries and we had a wonderful time!

This lovely home in Locust Lake Village was an ideal place for our family from several states to assemble for a week's visit. The "younger" adult/grandchildren occupied the downstairs area and the "older" generation the upper quarters. The photos indicated a house that is larger than it actually is but we were able to accommodate to the space and enjoy the house. We ate several meals out on the deck which was an added bonus. Randyl is a wonderful host who is responsive and available.

Nicely re-modeled cabin in a community in the woods that offers 3 lakes, a clubhouse and other activities. The property is well-maintained and exceptionally clean. The kitchen and baths are updated and the carpeting is new. This is a pleasant place to view nature, dine outdoors and enjoy the fire pit. The location is within 12-15 miles of several attractions, such as the Boulder Field at Hickory Run and Lake Harmony.

We were a group of ten. All adults, teens, kid, and two dogs. The house was clean and welcoming. The bumper table and hook game at the house was great on the rainy day. The lake feels more then however far listed on the post, but it is walking distance. We had a great time and my kids Ahmad the best time at the beach. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards at the beach Friday-Sunday making the experience even better. Definitely recommend the stay.

We felt welcomed the moment we walked in! The home was very clean, comfortable, and complete with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The owners were very helpful with accommodations, tips, and local information as well, while making the check in process a breeze. The neighborhood is peaceful and located close to two well-maintained beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made wonderful memories! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!
