We had a great time. House is just a few blocks from the water. Very nicely decorated.

The house was just as pictured - clean, with fresh decor, and perfect for our weekend in Beaufort. We walked the 5 blocks to the main downtown area for shopping & dinner, and ate at two good restaurants that Steve recommended. Steve was responsive and the stay was easy - would definitely rent with Steve again.

The house is lovely, immaculate, and just as pictured. Short distance to main downtown area, yet a quiet neighborhood. Steve is easy to work with, responsive, and provides advice without being overbearing.
We look forward to a return stay!

Very nice, well maintained property in a quiet neighborhood.
A lovely place to retreat to from the holiday tourist crowds in the waterfront area.
Host called us to let us know that we could check in a bit early, and went the extra mile to ensure that we had a great stay.
Highly recommend!

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality dishes and appliances. It was especially nice not to have to bring items like dish and hand soap, paper products, or linens as we have always needed to do when staying at other rentals. The kitchen was also stocked with coffee, tea, sweeteners, and basic seasonings. This felt like staying at a really nice hotel, but with much more space, privacy, and comfort. I normally don't sleep well when away from home, but I slept like a baby here!
The location is very convenient to walking down to Front Street, just a 10-15 minute stroll. We fell in love with Beaufort, and I would definitely want to stay at this cottage again when we go back.

The Mulberry cottage was beautifully remodeled with high end finishes and attention to detail. It might be the cleanest VRBO rental I've ever stayed in, which I greatly appreciate. The location was fantastic--walkable to the water front and only a few blocks from the Beaufort Cafe (great breakfast) and Historic Grounds Coffee Shop (excellent coffee). My husband and I slept in the king room and the mattress was so comfortable that I took note of what it was so that I could look at replacing ours at home soon. The front porch and deck were quiet spaces to sit and enjoy the outdoors, and we were able to get almost anywhere in Beaufort, Morehead City, Atlantic Beach, and Harkers Island within 25 minutes. The check in and check out processes were easy and convenient. I highly recommend this rental--it is perfect for a couple's retreat!

Well equipped, spotlessly clean, very comfortable house. Only negative is the location which makes for a longer walk from the town amenities and seafront

Fantastic vacation property near the heart of Beaufort, NC, with spectacular, beachy finishes. New, clean, high end. My husband and I, asking with our adult daughter stayed for a long weekend. She had a queen bedroom with en suite bathroom, and we had a spacious king bedroom with en suite bathroom. Eat in kitchen, nice social spaces on the back deck and front porch. Very close to Front Street, nice neighborhood. Walking distance to Beaufort Cafe. We plan to stay here again!

Perfect for two couples. The two bathrooms were much desired any many comps were not offering them.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for a week. It has been beautifully renovated ( like one of my HGTV shows, accordingto my husband). Super quiet neighborhood. Sat on the front porch rockers every evening. Biked around Beaufort. Would recommend the Ghost Walk, alot of neat history. Rented a boat and went to Shackelford Island for the day, beautiful. Would recommend and would definitely return next time we vacation there( a favorite diving spot of my husband's). Thanks again for the lovely stay.

Beautiful Home close to the Beaufort Waterfront!!
The Mulberry Street Cottage is the perfect place to rent for two couples! We’ve stayed at Steve and Gail’s other properties several times in the past few years, and their new cottage on Mulberry Street is just as beautiful as the others. We were the first to book the Mulberry Street Cottage since they completely remodeled the entire house. This place is absolutely first class. Tile showers, quartz countertops, heart pine flooring and all new furniture. They didn’t miss any details.
The distance to the waterfront was very walkable, but we also rode bikes a few times. The front porch and the back deck were perfect for our morning coffee and winding down in the evenings. highly recommend. We will definitely be back!
