Overall we really enjoyed staying at this property. It is well located in the heart of Aberfeldy. Everything was withing walking distance. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. The house is quite large with a nice yard. It was well stocked with spices, dishes, dish soap, pots and pans and cutlery. We needed mixing bowls to make a cake and the owner got them to us by the next day. (Thank you!) The dining room table is huge and sat our group of 8 comfortably. I would suggest that the Foos ball table that shares the dining room was a bit in the way. The showers are fantastic. Each was sized well and had a rain shower head and handheld. (no place to put your soap except the floor, unfortunately,,,also no wall hooks for your towels anywhere.) The beds were very comfortable and I liked that they were convertible from twins to kings, by request. Each room has a very small wardrobe. I would have liked more storage for clothes. My rating for cleanliness was lower because we found some maintenance issues, dirty carpet, a very frozen ice jungle in the freezer, and toothpaste marks in the medicine cabinet. It wasn't enough to complain about during our 4 night stay. Parking was ample. We had to park on the street because we had a wider van than would not get through the driveway gate. It was not issue for us.
Be sure to walk up the road to the Birks of Aberfeldy. It is well worth the effort. The entire loop will take about two hours but the waterfalls are worth it!
