Shades of blue is everything that they said it is. It truly is beautiful. The house was perfect for a large group. Stephani was a pleasure to deal with.
We did reach out to the property manager a couple of times with no response, so that was a little difficult, and I felt bad reaching out to Stephani , although I know if I did, she would handle anything anything. The only other thing I would say is it would be nice if they had staples there like salt/pepper, serving dishes, pictures, and things like that that would be hard for you to buy for a long weekend. But, the house was really amazing. There’s a fantastic pool house that we didn’t even get to use at all and what a shame because we looked at it right before we left and it’s beautiful.
I feel like I can tell you this because my husband and I stayed a couple doors down at Greystone and it was nothing at all compared to this. And it’s literally right there.
We would absolutely stay here again.

This house is located on a quiet beach overlooking such beautiful blue waters. In front of the house you have a light surf to play in or you can walk a short way down the beach to a cove with calm water. The house is large and we had plenty of room to gather in or a quiet place for those that needed to do some online work.
I would certainly recommend or return to this house with my family!

The view on this house is truly unbelievable. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with end tables, dressers, and big closets. Our kids loved the bunk beds and with a large group like ours everyone felt like they had a nice space for their family. The kitchen had every item we could need — we cooked many of our meals and always had enough utensils, plates, cookware, etc. there were high chairs to use, tons of beach towels, games to play, an ice machine, an extra refrigerator..The house was clean and comfortable! We enjoyed spending all day on the pool deck, floating in floats (she had floats, life vests, snorkel gear, etc) and we loved our evenings at the huge dining table and big comfy couches. It’s slightly away from the main town which was exactly what we wanted (but a very easy, close drive). Walking distance is a natural lagoon, natural lazy river and beautiful, calm beach. Right up the road is Tropic of Cancer beach with a fun little bar! Right next to Tropic of Cancer is Santanas and Moms Bakery. The host was extremely attentive and gave us all the info we needed for instant comfort upon arrival. It’s apparent she loves her house and wants to share that love with everyone else. She left very detailed info at the house on anything we may have needed and we were very aware if we had any issues her community manager would be right up to fix it. Thank you Shades of Blue for providing the comfort, ease, and beauty we hoped for in Exuma

Our stay at Shades of Blue was perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable, there was an ample number of pots and pans for cooking and communication with the property manager and owner could not have been better. The views from every room of the house along with the private beach makes this house a number one choice.

What an amazing vacation our family enjoyed at Shades of Blue! This home and the ocean playground that surrounds it was perfect for our family vacation 2024! We were a group of 20 from the age of 8 to 70. We had plenty of room and everyone had an awesome time! It was our first trip to Exuma and quickly learned that travel on the island is not like at home but Nanci, Julinka, and Beauren were so very helpful throughout our trip! The view walking into Shades of Blue is breathtaking! Pictures do not do justice to its beauty! We saw dolphins play as we sat on the beach, manta rays swim by, our kids and grands met a sweet puppy they named Scuba, snorkeled, kayaked to the park, lazy river, and neighboring islands to explore and snorkel, We booked a private boat charter from a joint venture of swimming pigs tours and 4 C’s with Captain Smiley and he was amazing! Unforgettable day of fun and adventure topped off with a delicious Bahamian feast at Lorraine’s Cafe! Our guys chartered a deep sea fishing trip from Dave Rowe and he was great as well! We did find that with such a large group, you need to book well in advance to eat out or even pick up from the island restaurants. But we highly recommend a vacation to this beautiful island paradise and I can’t imagine a better or more beautiful place to stay while experiencing all it has to offer than Shades of Blue! Had we never left the property, it would have been totally amazing still!

This property is the epitome of paradise! From its breathtaking views, to the impeccable service provided by Stephanie and her staff, this experience was truly paradise on earth. The property was stunning with every amenity you could want or need. We booked this property to host our wedding, and Stephanie went above and beyond in helping us plan everything; from numerous recommendations to giving us a personalized wedding gift, to helping us rearrange canceled flights, Stephanie could not have been a better host. We are forever grateful for the incredible memories we share with you at your home!

Best view and setup we’ve ever had on vacation. The infinity pool, steps to a private beach, and access to crystal clear waters were unbelievable. We rented jet skis on two separate days and were able to access nearby beaches (loved Tropic of Cancer) and private islands. The Cut was very cool. Everyone we met on the island, including chefs (Chef Paul), drivers, and boat captains (Antonio), were great to work with. The homeowner, Stephanie, and house manager, Uncle B, were incredibly responsive. All in all, an amazing stay at an amazing location. We will be back!

Location is much further and rough to get to the house. There are really no stores to support in the area. House was not ready at 4 for checking. Power shades in master did not work so I had to climb on a ladder every day to push a manual button. Master bath toilet room light did not work. Master shower would fill up and not drain. Power outage first night, generator did not turn on. Hot tub heater was rotted out and did not us hot tub for 2 days. House had multiple water leaks during rain storm. The beach was non existent due to waves versus what the pictures showed in listing. Pool was freezing, asked if I could pay to heat it and was told no. The "master" bedrooms upstairs do not have bathrooms. House ran out of water multiple times. Whats apped property manager but got very few responses. Pots and pans had rust on them. Cigarette butts from prior guests on table. Was looking for a luxury experience, but did not feel I got what I was looking for.

The property and the views are outstanding. We got a little unlucky with the weather, but Shades of Blue is an amazing setting. Any issues we had were quickly addressed. The property manager even brought us a grill!

Shades of Blue was an absolute slice of what Heaven would probably be like. We had a total of 18 guests. that ranged from 7months old to late 40's. Everyone had plenty of space that we never felt too crowded. Every single room had a view of the beautiful ocean. We were able to swim in the ocean everyday during low tide. We even discovered a tidepool just a short stroll from the property.
The property manager (UNCLE B) Beauren was the ABSOLUTE BEST! upon our arrival the TV located in living room area wasnt working he returned that same evening with a BRAND NEW FLAT SCREEN TV for us.
Whatever we needed he was only a phone call away.
Thank you Uncle B for everything!!!
The house was well kept and fully stocked of towels, dishes, pots, pans, and beach toys.
Stephanie , our host was easy to reach for any questions or concerns prior to our stay. Communication was fantastic. Our trip was everything and more!

Shades of Blue was absolutely stunning views of the water. A great piece of real estate. The floorplan was well thought out and accommodating for the extended family. It was perfectly located to George Town. We recommend renting a car if staying here. Stephanie was amazing to work with during the booking process and extremely accessible. Beaurren was great and very communicative if we need any assistance while at the house. We have never rented a place with as much kitchenware as this place and we were pleasantly surprised.

As you can see from the photographs the house is beautiful and perfectly arranged for a group of friends or a large family. What you can't tell from the photographs is how gracious and helpful the owner is. Stephanie went over and above the efforts I have typically encountered to answer questions and make our stay great. Beauren, the local contact for maintenance and similar issues was also extremely attentive and helpful with issues such as power and water disruption caused by events which were beyond anyone's control, but come with life an an island. The location of Shades of Blue is great. It is close enough to Georgetown for grocery shopping, dining and drinks at Sharie's, but far enough way to not have to deal with driving around the circle of George Town every day. It is also conveniently located near Santana's Grill and Mama's bakery next door. The pool and deck area at Shades of Blue is excellent for hanging out and admiring the unbelievable color of the ocean. The house is aptly named for the colors of the water. I highly recommend that you reserve this house and experience it for yourself.

Oh my goodness where do I start! This vacation was perfect. The house is amazing, the view is perfection. Highly recommend Chef Paul, his steak, lobster, shrimp, fettuccine and all the appetizers and desserts were wonderful. We used Pinkladysdelights for our arrival, she made the best conch fritters, spinach dip, shrimp, charcuterie board, and POTATO BALLS! We had plenty of leftovers for the next day. We took a trip out to the pigs, iguanas and the island bar, definitely worth it! We ate at Santana’s twice for lunch and it was the best grouper sandwich and platters. We used the concierge that Stephanie suggested and she had our groceries stocked when we got there and she scheduled our adventure, chef and our van for ten people. Everyone was so helpful if we had any questions. It was definitely a trip come true for me. Everything I wanted.

I rented this home for 17 of my friends to celebrate my 40th birthday! From the time of booking to after I got home, Stephanie was absolutely incredible to work with! She had the best recommendations, was super attentive and not to mention the home was gorgeous! It was a great set up for a large group of adults. I still dream about the views and I cannot wait to go back!

We came here for our first trip to the island with a crew of 14 aged 4-74. The house was perfect for us. Bedrooms stayed quiet even when others were up and about. Pool/hottub is great for littles while sunbathing deck and ocean kept the teens and adults happy. Nothing too precious for the really small kids to ruin. So many towels are provided and the dryer works well so you can keep them all dry.
The self starter on the grill doesn’t work, and the ice machine gave out on us for a day or two but if we unplugged and replugged a few times, it started working again. Beauren was very responsive to our questions.
They don’t keep any oil or spices, tinfoil or much Tupperware around, so make sure to bring or buy for longer stays.
Astoundingly beautiful place!

The house is very nice and well kept. The view of the turquoise ocean from anywhere you are standing is amazing! The drive from the airport or to get to anywhere is no less than 40 minutes, so get your groceries first. You do NOT want your view/time to be overgrown trees and pot holes trying to get back to town for more supplies.
A case of beer ~$50. A box of Kraft Mac/Chez ranges from $2 to $5 so check their shelves for Best Buy. Absolutely no consistency in pricing of identical item and confirm total at the end of every transaction is correct. Like really?? Let’s add that again.
We rented a pontoon 3 days, but high wind did not allow the 3rd day. Enjoyed the boat ride and beachside restaurants.
Honestly, if you plan on spending quality time at the house with family or friends this place is perfect. Don’t plan on watching any tv! Host sent us help but it just wasn’t meant to be, so my late night chill down time in front of Netflix was not possible. Last two things, but most important- bring bug spray or baby oil or whatever is needed to defend against sand fleas!! AND the master suite has an outdoor shower and it was awesome.

We loved our stay! Seeing and hearing the ocean every morning from ALL the bedrooms was a huge plus. The beach below the house was perfect for days we didn’t want to venture out.
Loved all the family memories we made!

Wonderful time with friends and family. The waters are breathtaking and peaceful. The waves were strong and steady. The island was beautiful and the residents were helpful. We will be back again to stay for more than 7 days in the future.

Beautiful house with beautiful views. Very large with so much room for 17 people. Great kitchen, amazing pool and hot tub over looking the beach/ocean. The private pool house is super cool, the views of the ocean as you walk through every room are stunning. Stephanie (host) was great, they took care of everything we needed faster then expected. House has everything you need. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much!

We just had a wonderful stay at Shades of Blue. We brought 15 of our closest friends to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. The property was absolutely perfect!! Amazing views from every room!! It was exactly what I envisioned!!!

Overall the property is very well kept. We came as a large extended family of 10 with ages 9 through 83. Plenty of bedrooms and beds for everyone to enjoy down time.
Kitchen is large and we cooked in every night. Plenty of seating for all. Family room is very comfortable. We also rented the pool house. I highly recommend staying there.
We had a couple of items and property manager came right out to take care of it all. We had a wonderful time!

This house and location was perfectly amazing! We had our wedding on the pool patio overlooking the pristine waters for the best photos! We had all of the luxuries of home and can’t say enough about our time here! We had 12 adults staying in the home and another 16 in the home right next door for our wedding for a total of 28. We loved the beautiful beachfront and hiked a short way down to the left to a small cove where the water was like glass and there were reefs for snorkeling. We had a blast on the kayaks, in the pool and hot tub, and you will be challenged to find a better view! 💙

We travel frequently. Mostly opting toward 5-star resorts & luxury hotels. This place, hands down, was, by far, our favorite spot we’ve ever visited. The home itself exceeded our expectations in all ways. The vibe is surreal, zen. The owner & staff were nothing short of amazing. Communication, amenities, recommendations & service were on point. Posted on the most beautiful part of the Caribbean I’ve ever visited. The layout of the home itself was perfect. The bonus room upstairs was awesome. The beds were so comfortable. In fact we both said we felt we slept better here than we do in our own bed. Everything from towels, to bedding to blankets that were provided were high quality. I work remote & the wi-fi was amazing! Tranquil VIEWS from every window that take your breath away. From the moment you enter the front door. There’s nothing we could compare this to. We’ve been to Turks, Greece, bora-bora. This just hit different. Sunrises, sunsets & everything in between were breathtaking. The guest quarters felt exclusive. This place would be fantastic for larger parties. Pool/spa=amazing. The private beach was great! The in-person experience was better than anticipated. The local spots were so chill & the islanders are great. We paid for a fishing excursion with the owner & caught Durado, Wahoo & a tuna. Best fish we’ve ever had. We cooked some there and brought the rest home. There’s cool beach bars and stop offs. Once in a lifetime experience…

This was my first time in Exuma and it did not disappoint. We landed at the airport and made our way to the property to be pleasantly surprised by the beautiful location. The pictures online do not show the true beauty of shades of blue. The views were breathtaking. The house was immaculate with attention to detail in bedding/linens/furnishings and so comfortable.
I am not sure why some of the reviews state their is not a beach… the beach was beautiful and private. Sometimes the beach was bigger based on tide, but that is expected.
We were a little nervous about traveling to a new location, but the locals were amazing and we felt so safe- we dropped our wallet with lots of cash in it and returned 30 minutes later to a nice man who said “I found this and waited for you to return” ! We made a few friends at the fish fry and around town at the local bars/restaurants and can’t wait to come see our new found friends in the near future. We travel often and this was by far our best vacation, from the food, to the locals, and the beautiful home.
We can’t wait to come back to
Shades of Blue with the rest of our family.

We stayed for one week with 10 adults and 1 toddler. The home was clean, beautiful, in a picturesque location, and had a lot of amenities. Communication with owner when necessary was prompt and helpful. We would definitely book again!

We enjoyed our stay very much at Shades of Blue! We had 3 families on spring break and the home had more than enough space for both adults and teenagers. The communication with the owner & staff was excellent. The owner sent a list of recommendations that all turned out to be great. We rented a private boat, an excursion boat with Robert's, and 2 private chefs that were all a lot of fun! We would definitely go back and stay again!

This was by far the most amazing place we ever stayed!! Exuma is such a safe and beautiful place! We’ve traveled all over the world and this is it! Shades of blue beyond met our expectations….absolutely beautiful home and the view is unmatched. Our host Stephanie was absolutely amazing and so helpful which is so hard to find. Probably one of the best places we have ever stayed and it will for sure be our go to place when we come back to Exuma which we have already started planning to do! I would recommend this house to anyone and give it 20 out of 10 stars…..thanks again for your your beautiful home!

We had a fantastic time at shades of blue. The private beach in front of the house was spectacular. The house is beautiful and very well equipped. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and bar, hot tub infinitely pool. The hosts were wonderful. Very helpful and great communication. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the stay. The view was fantastic
The only negative was that the property manager was nonexistent. We never heard back from them pertaining to a couple of issues but overall a great vacation for relaxation

Beautiful house and location - no beach
We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful spacious clean property. The pool and hot tub were great and the view was outstanding. The reverse osmosis tap water and stand alone ice maker was superb as typically we would have to buy lots of bottled water. The bedroom configuration and size of kitchen was perfect for our group of 9 adults and 6 teens/tweens. Our only complaint was the lack of beach and lack of water access over the rocks. This prevented several members of my family from being able to go in the ocean behind the house. This was a major disappointment as it was a big selling point for renting this property. There was no beach at low or high tide. There are several large rocks hidden in the wave break making it precarious to enter the water even for those who are physically fit.
We visited nearby beaches - our favorite is Pretty Molly. We took a 7 hour boat tour of the Georgetown harbor with Captain AJ. It was phenomenal - with visit to Rolletown sandbar, starfish beach, Chat & Chill, Mariah harbor reefs, and lazy River. We also had an amazing chef cook & deliver dinner to us each night. Hire Chef Jaquille from Exuma Yatch Club & Restaurant in Georgetown. You won’t be disappointed.

This had the most spectacular views
The house was awesome and fit our family of 12 perfectly. Power outages were a slight problem but did not affect the trip. Would recommend this house. Beach and ocean were great.

Shades of Blue!!
Homeowners and property manager were great to work with. We were 11 of us and the house fit us all well. Views were amazing from every room. We loved that the hot tub heated quickly and the two fridges and ice maker were great to have. We had groceries pre stocked at the house. We had an amazing trip! Rented a boat at Minns, explored beaches, hit all the recommended spots.

Fun in the Sun
Pro’s Property was very nice, view was amazing, pool/hot tub terrific. Beach gorgeous. Had local Chef prepare a meal for the group at the house, terrific, had local shopper purchase food for the house, great job.
Con’s- Location is 45 minutes from town…no water pressure in any of the upstairs Bath rooms, all 12 guests used the outdoor shower off the downstairs master. Lights in master flash on/off …they will not stay on….no storage containers in kitchen, for any leftovers. Lack of beach towels, the slide open doors, we couldn’t use because of high winds, so had to use front door….very inconvenient, maybe change to sliders so that area can be used.
