About this apartment rental
This well-designed apartment with its private coded entry offers comfort and convenience whether you want to stay in and relax or take a quick walk to the town's renowned wine tasting scene just a few minutes away on foot. Inside this sweet studio you'll find a welcoming lower level queen bedroom and two separate raised areas: one with a tub/shower combo bathroom and the other a lounge area with a convenient counter and sink area including a mini fridge, microwave and a full stash of coffee-making equipment including K-Pod. Much of the art and furnishings were designed and handcrafted by the hosts incorporating deconstructed oak barrels to give it a one-of-a-kind wine country feel.
Outside you'll enjoy the peace and quiet of our lush back yard relaxing under the shade of two gorgeous mulberry trees in a semi-private outdoor sitting area complete with a mini propane fire pit for those chilly valley nights. While the hosts live in the front house and sometimes walk through the back yard, guests will typically have it to themselves - especially in the evenings. Feel free to wander out by car to enjoy the beautiful rolling hills of the surrounding Santa Ynez Valley and all it has to offer (wineries, casino, hiking and biking and Solvang "The Danish Capital of America" to name a few). Your dedicated parking space will be there when you return so no need to hassle with the limited parking in town. To make your stay extra special we like to bake delicious treats for our guests!

The hostess was great. She left me cookies and had half & half for my morning coffee in the fridge. Quiet spot and enjoyed sitting on the patio with a glass of wine. Easy walk to the Wine Tasting in Los Olivos and restaurants. I would recommend a stay.

Mia was an amazing communicator. She left us delicious cookies and extra ice due to a heatwave. The unit is adorable and well appointed. It is one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. The outside seating area was private and cute. She gave us great recommendations on dinner and tastings. She’s also quite the musician as we were lucky enough to see her perform at local business. I highly recommend staying here.

My fiancé and I booked a weekend stay with Mia in Los Olivos and had the most amazing time! Mia was incredibly helpful from check-in to check-out and went above and beyond. The rental comes with one private parking spot which was very convenient and the location could not have been more perfect. We parked our car and never got back in it until we were heading home. There are so many amazing restaurants, shops, and wineries within walking distance. Mia gave us several recommendations and we even got to spend some time her and her husband at the winery where she works. The last morning of our stay, we were delivered fresh biscuits with butter and jam! 10/10 recommend and we will definitely be back.

Very, very helpful hostess; Mia even offered to bring us homemade baked goods, but due to timing we couldn't take advantage of her offer.
Great location in downtown Los Olivos. Studio was so comfortable and clean. Very quiet - slept well.

We found this little gem in the perfect neighborhood! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Rivera. Leading up to the stay, we had several conversations with the property owner which helped us prepare. The little casita was immaculately clean, safe, convenient, and adorable, with plenty of amenities. I was amazed at how quiet it was. The location is perfect for walking all around in Los Olivos. Property owners were warm and welcoming and have thought of everything. We highly recommend it!!

I stayed at Mia’s studio apartment to is past weekend and it was perfect. Exactly as listed, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Plus only a short 1-block walk into town. And she even brought homemade scones to me one morning! The perfect spot to stay if hotels in town are sold out or you are looking for a more modest accommodation. Highly recommend.

Great little place. Perfect location for everything you want to do in Los Olivos, and centrally located in the broader Santa Ynez valley. Would definitely stay here again.

Mia was an absolutely amazing host and made our celebration weekend really special. Someone had a last-minute cancelation, and she very kindly upgraded us to the King Retreat, which was extra spacious and had the cutest balcony with a heater. Everything about the apartment was perfect - bed was also comfy. There is complete privacy in the apartment, completely separate from and away from the host’s home. She had all kinds of coffee options (keurig, pour over, a grinder, etc), and she even left us homemade cookies when we arrived! During our stay, she also offered us homemade buttermilk biscuits for the next morning, which made our stay so special. Mia was a great communicator when we needed her, while also giving us our space. And the location was so walkable and central to all the wineries in town. Would definitely return!

Super clean, and very cozy! Communication with Mia was outstanding, and she even had homemade cookies waiting for us! Yum! We walked to downtown for wine tasting and a super delicious dinner. One of the most comfortable sleeps ever, oh my gosh the bed was great!
Mia spoiled us with homemade blueberry scones before our checkout! Wonderful experience and we’ll only stay at Mia’s place while visiting Los Olivos!

The owner of the property was fabulous! She was communicated with us well on our day of arrival, to make everything seamless.
And so unexpectedly, she made us biscuits & jam for my boyfriend… & because I’m gluten free made the yummiest best blueberry scone I’ve ever eaten!
We would definitely go back!!

Everything about this stay was first class. The studio is well appointed with everything you will need for your stay.
Mia and Bryan are available for any questions or needs you may need. The warm chocolate chip cookies that were waiting on check in were delicious. Mia treated us also to homemade streusel coffee cake one morning. We are looking forward to our next visit to Los Olivos, and hope this studio will be available when we visit again.

Mia is a wonderful host and was easy to communicate with. The space was perfect for us to access all we wanted. Free baked cookies and biscuits were the cherry on top. Would love to stay again.

Our host, Mia, was very welcoming and communicative, and made sure that we were comfortable during our stay. Detailed directions for how to reach the property were provided along with instructions on most things you would need. This made our entire stay easy from beginning to end.
The room was clean, comfortable, and inviting. We were provided with an abundance of towels and several blankets to enjoy the small nook just outside the room. The kitchen was stocked with tea, coffee and several different devices to brew a cup, including a coffee machine, pour over set, and french press. The small fridge even had half and half and two different types of non-dairy creamer! And we were even lucky enough to get unexpected and delicious homemade cookies and other treats to enjoy. They really went above and beyond to make this stay great.
We had a great time staying at Casa Rivera and hope to visit again soon. Thank you for your hospitality, Mia!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay!! The room is cozy and bright and the artwork (all hand-made by the hosts) is beautiful. Mia was a terrific host. She made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, greeting us with delicious cookies and it just got better from there! We especially enjoyed the little patio, where we enjoyed a quiet afternoon. The property is within convenient walking to all of Los Olivos. We highly recommend.

We absolutely loved Casa Rivera! We were celebrating our 35th anniversary and fell in love with the cozy room, the lovely art surrounding us, the attention to detail, the nature scenery, and the perfect location that meant no driving for us. We loved being greeted by warm chocolate cookies at check-in and warm biscuits for breakfast another day. Truly, this is a hidden gem and we are so grateful to both Mia and Bryan for the love made real in our room through their art work and the meal we shared together. I know there would be no other place that would have been as lovely and accommodating. Mia made our stay perfect with great suggestions and attention to detail. Our stay at Santa Barbara and Temecula could not compete. We will definitely be back to Casa Rivera!

Fantastic location right in the heart of Los Olivos.
Mia was an outstanding hostess! Warm, fresh-baked cookies greeted us upon arrival, and the property had everything we could have needed. This is the perfect spot for a quiet escape, walking distance to wine tastings and charming restaurants. We would definitely use this property again in the future!

This place is such a gem! We absolutely loved our stay here; Mia and Bryan are such gracious hosts. The first highlight was when we arrived: we were greeted with a box of the most delicious (and still warm) chocolate chip cookies I think I’ve ever tasted. I’m still thinking about them!!!
The town of Los Olivos is so quaint and lovely, and this location really cannot be beat. You are literally close to everything - it’s only a block away from the flagpole which marks the very center of town. You can easily walk to all the amazing tasting rooms, restaurants and shops - and we did! But a huge part of the appeal for us was that we could easily explore and come back to the room any time we wanted to rest or cool down - all without needing to get in the car.
Even being in the middle of everything, the whole town closes down by 8 or 9, so there’s no concern about getting a good night's sleep when you want it… the unit is private with its own entrance and restroom. The bed is fantastic and super comfortable. There’s a nice seating area with loveseat, TV, and a kitchenette complete with coffee and supplies, which we - as early risers - really appreciated. We were able to make our coffee in the morning and enjoy it in the outdoor patio seating area. It was so relaxing!!! (Our hosts even thought of putting an extra blanket in the closet which we used to ward off the slight early morning chill!)
There is no lack of attention to detail, but one of our favorite things about staying here was discovering all the special touches and fixtures included throughout. So many pieces to appreciate! Bryan and Mia are both amazing artisans, and we just love the many unique touches they’ve crafted to adorn this sweet little hideaway.
If you are lucky enough to stay here, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at "Casa Rivera" (as the hosts call it) was nothing short of amazing! The place was cute, clean, and had everything that we needed to feel at home away from home, including a welcome box of freshly baked cookies (yes, they were delicious) and games we were able to play together.
I loved that the studio has dimension, giving the area separation of space. The bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed having our morning coffee/tea, as well as dinner out in the patio nook... The miniature kitchen with the miniature oven and amenities was so cute and thoughtful, with an electric tea kettle, coffee maker, dairy and sugar free creamer in the fridge, plus all the other kitcheny things... OH, and there was even a gallon of water already there for us! I also loved that I was able to borrow a yoga mat, and there was a hamper in the closet; even though the hamper is for the towels upon checkout, it was really nice to have a place to put our used laundry during our stay.
The location was perfect; the property is not even a full block away from the downtown Los Olivos shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants. Once we parked at the property, we didn't need to get back into our car until we decided to take a 10min drive to Solvang.
Mia and Bryan truly are SUPERHOSTS who really care about the quality of their guests' experience. By the way, if you are ever offered the meal option with your stay, I highly recommend it- it's so worth it!

Hidden Gem: Cute hide-away with home baked cookies and great coffee in Sant Ynez.
We had a lovely experience at Mia and Bryan's adorable place in Santa Ynez, perfectly located walking distance to all the in-town wineries and shops. It was a coffee lovers dream! Our hosts offered many options for making fresh coffee in the morning or any time of day. They thought of every possible detail for how we could make our own custom coffee early in the morning in our jammies so we didn't have to leave our cozy abode for our morning caffeine fix.
The room was great. As an artist, I noticed all the attention to detail in the art, colors and furnishings. Had a great night's sleep - the bed was very comfortable and really appreciated the separate seating area where I was able to sit and read while my husband slept in. We also loved sitting in the outdoor area under the two big shade trees which felt very private.
The air-conditioning unit kept the temperature cool on a warm day and the smell of chocolate chip cookies when we arrived was a thrill and tasting those yummy treats throughout our stay and back at home (there were enough to savor for days!) helped us keep our memories and extend the good feelings of our time away.
Hosts Bryan and Mia were incredibly warm and went beyond the basics. This will definitely be our go to spot in the valley. We can't wait to return!
