Alison's View is a lovely cottage in a great location in Keswick. The accommodation is well equipped with everything you need. The offroad parking in the garage was ideal and a great place to store dirty boots and wet coats. I would certainly stay there again

The large garage parking was a real bonus.
We would certainly recommend this to all.

Had a great time as usual in Keswick, accommodation was excellent, everything we needed was provided, garage is brilliant especially with the parking in town being expensive and our big mondeo fitted in no problem. Stairs could be a problem mobility wise but we were fine with them. Normally stay in our caravan but with it being winter this was a nice change

Booked a last min break at Alison's View. Had the best week. Lovely clean, cozy and so central for accessing wider area. Will definitely be back to stay. Great customer care and communication. Thankyou!

This was a return visit for us. Alison's View is conveniently situated to enjoy all of Keswick's amenities'
The house is cosy, comfortable, clean and very well equipped. The jewel in the crown (oddly) is the garage, an absolute bonus. This is extremely convenient, spacious and is as equally well equipped as the rest of the house.
We intend to return!

Excellent location and garage very helpful. Only slight complaint that telly very basic. We came about 5 years ago and same telly. A smart TV would be a good improvement as on rainy days we could put something on, either Utube for kids or Netflix.

From looking at other reviews, we think we've been a bit unlucky.
When we arrived at 4pm on Saturday the property wasn't ready. We were offered a late departure to make up for this.
We had a few maintenance issues that we didn't notice until after 5.30pm when the office had closed, so they didn’t get rectified until Monday and Tuesday.
The property needs a deep clean, especially the landings, banisters and under the kitchen table. Crockery in the cupboards needs to be checked for cleanliness before new guests arrive. The bins should also have space for new guests to put their waste and recycling in.
The location is great, so lovely and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was nice. The towels were fluffy (although a bit small). The garage and use of a washing machine were brilliant.

This is our Second stay at Alison’s view and a good time was had by all.
On the ground floor there is a garage (which are a premium in the Victorian streets of Keswick) It is well equipped with sink and washing facilities together with plenty of storage space to leave your walking equipment and toys, reading material and jigsaws for the adults.outside there is a small courtyard.
The kitchen lounge areas are well equipped. The bedrooms both have large skylights which were great left open at night as there was a heatwave while staying and we enjoyed cool night’s sleep.
Definitely be booking another stay in the future.

Spent 4 nights in Alison’s View. The property was easy to find, very handy for amenities in central Keswick and the attached garage was very convenient for unloading the car as well as providing safe overnight parking. Alisons View was lovely and warm when we arrived, the standard of cleaning was excellent and everything we needed was provided. We had a slight issue with a malfunctioning information tablet - a quick phone call and Keswick Cottages brought round and set up a replacement device within minutes. Thank you. We have no hesitation in recommending Alison’s View (and Keswick Cottages) and hope to stay there again in the future

The unit was extremely comfortable and very well appointed and clean. Well positioned to town center and to local park, as we took our dog with us. Having a garage with laundry facilities in the garage was so convenient, especially as it rained most of the time we were there. Highly recommend the unit. The booking staff were very accommodating and helpful.

We arrived on a very cold afternoon after a long car journey and we were pleased that we had a spacious garage to park the car off the street and get the dogs out of the car safely.
The accommodation was lovely and warm and was in a great location, situated just by one end of Fitz park.
There is a washing machine and dryer in the garage along with a sink so perfect for cleaning wet, muddy dogs before going into the house.
The accommodation does have two flights of stairs but has a great view from the windows. The kitchen area is well stocked for cooking and there is a large fridge and dishwasher. It is an open plan style lounge/kitchen with a small dining table to seat four people. ( The only negative point about the lounge is that the TV only has the 5 channels, so were a bit limited on what to watch after coming home in the evening although there is a large DVD collection provided.)
Every part of the accommodation was spotless.
Customer service was very good and a small welcome pack was provided with T bags, a few sachets of coffee and milk, and a few packets of biscuits.
There is a small Spar shop in the same street that stocks essentials. Would certainly stay at Alisons View again as could not fault it . Had a great time.
Make sure to read the visitors books which are in the hallway for recommended places to visit or to eat in.

Our stay at Alison’s view 16-23 July 2022
Alison’s view is a clean comfortable place to stay in a central location in Keswick. The integral garage is a great asset and a useful place to leave muddy boots and wet coats when needed. The bedrooms, though small, felt airy due to the velux windows which managed to keep us cool during the record breaking heat while we were there.
A shelf for toothbrushes and toiletries would be useful in the bathroom and we felt the welcome pack was rather mean for such an expensive property.

A lovely break in keswick
Despite the typical Lake District weather we enjoyed a lovely stay in Alison's View. Very clean and comfortable house, well equiped and just minutes away from shops, restaurants and Derwent Water.

Lovely House
Would highly recommend this cottage for a stay in Keswick. Lovely and clean and fantastic garage which was such a bonus as parking is a nightmare. Five minute walk into town so ideally situated. Had everything you could possibly need, all of the usual cooking utensils. The only issue was it could of done with a shelf in the bathroom to keep all your toiletries
