About this house rental
Welcome to this two-story 2,000 square foot waterfront house located in the quiet southeastern corner of the Island, known as historic Goodland. It sleeps 10, with two king beds, two queens, a queen sleeper sofa, and two-and-a-half bathrooms. Actually, it sleeps 11 if you count your dog.
Start your day on the dock with a cup of coffee or tea in hand, while watching the dolphins and manatees play in the canal. If you're a boater, then feel free to tie up your boat on the east side of the dock, where you'll have access to explore the 10,000 islands of southwest Florida. Throughout the day, enjoy friendly games of foosball, darts, or cards in the downstairs game room, which provides extra storage space and direct access to the backyard, where a possible cornhole tournament awaits you. Then, end your day on the south-facing balcony with a tropical drink in hand as the setting sun turns the sky a brilliant orange.
As you make your way inside, you’ll notice the interior perfectly reflects the surrounding tropics, as it blends paradisal touches with modern furnishings. Sunlight brightens the boat deck-inspired floors and sand white walls, and cozy furnishings and seaside colors enhance the serene ambience. Relax on the comfy couch and enjoy your favorite shows on the flat screen television in the upstairs living room. To top it all off, the living area opens up to the balcony, so you’ll be able to enjoy the interior and exterior at the same time.
The kitchen comes equipped with all the modern appliances and cookware you need to prepare family meals to enjoy on the balcony. Even better, the downstairs bar room provides an extra refrigerator for more storage for your backyard soiree.
Once you’re ready to visit dreamland, both the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms come with ample closet and drawer space and feature all of the colors of the tropics, so you’ll be reminded of what surrounds you.
The house is filled with everything you need for your comfort and convenience, like air conditioning and heating, free wi-fi, cable, linens, towels, and a washer and dryer. You’ve also got four cruiser bicycles and two kayaks, as well as beach essentials like beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella.
Cross the Goodland bridge, leaving the crowds of the Island behind, and follow the winding road to an uncrowded village, nestled on the blue water of Goodland Bay, where the people are welcoming, the food is second to none, and the fishing is beyond belief. When you’re in Goodland, everything is just a short walk or bike ride away. Visit their hidden gems of restaurants, like Stan’s Idle Hour, Little Bar, Paradise Found, Crabby Lady, Old Marco Lodge Crab House, or Kirk Fish Company, where everything is fresh from the Goodland Bay.
So, come experience this distinct piece of paradise in historic Goodland.

Reviewer Comments:
Was the property description accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc?The description of the property was accurate, but the photos are not. The photos have been enhanced or were taken a long time ago. they do not represent the property accurately. We had a good time, and the property was fine for us, but it is more run down than the pictures showThe basement is not cooled like the upper level, the basement front doors are not insulated and are pretty rough so hot air get in through them and the basement slider door is very old and hard to open and close. Again, the property worked well for us but if the wrong people came in, they may not be happy with those things. Was the property clean and well-maintained?The property was clean, it could use some maintenance. The deck boards are very rough, the grass and yard could use some work, and the hot water tank kicked out several times, blowing the breaker. Did the owner or manager provide good customer service?Yes, the rental company provided good service Would you recommend this property to a friend or relative? No, I believe there would be some better options for the cost What activities, attractions and restaurants did you enjoy? We spent time fishing, going to the everglades, kayaking, shopping, and Marco Island beach. Unfortunately, we had a crazy amount of rain so some of our fishing plans were cancelled and that is why we stayed a few extra days, to try and get a couple good day of weather in.

This property needs a lot of work. The property is on the water but is hard to access because the dock is closed because it needs repaired and the ladders are busted and covered with clams so much so that you can’t get them open. One reason we chose the house was because of the kayaks and bikes. It lists it’s for 10 people and we had seven but there’s only 4 kayaks and 6 bikes just fyi. There is also no where on Goodland to easily get supplies and they only gave us very limited trash bags, toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc. We also had something take some bites out of our fruit that we left out on the counter over night. We didn’t see it but it definitely left it’s mark. I would not stay here again.

Clean, convenient and as advertised. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the excellent restaurants within walking distance, enjoyed Sunday Funday at Stan’s and took an informative and fun boat trip from the marina across the street with Florida Adventures. Location was good, an easy drive to Marco Island. Recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at this home. Quiet neighborhood, not much within walking distance but a short drive to Marco Island. Very clean and updated home. My husband and FIL are big fishermen so they loved being able to fish from the backyard.

We booked a family vacation in this small fishing town, it didn't disappoint. The house was just as advertised, we had a large group with 8 adults and 1 child. This house fit all of us perfectly and also provided privacy for everyone at night. We took advantage of the bikes, kayaks and beach chairs during our stay, it made our experience that much more enjoyable.

We had a large group of college friends stay here for a long weekend and it was exactly what we needed! Plenty of beds, large outdoor space, towels/showers. Also, walking distance to Stan's on Sundays and a short drive over to Marco Island. Would stay here again!

Spent the week here with the family and had the ultimate Goodland Experience. The house was an excellent location to the boat Marina where we could pick up our rental boat and jet skis. The local restaurants were so fun and Mom and Pop feel. We paddle boarded and kayaked right from the yard deck and canal. Not to mention the neighbors are commercial fisherman and brought us crab legs for New Years!!!

You have 2 yards and a full dock on the water to enjoy. We have stayed on Goodland before, but this is the best property we have found.
