Decent

The inn is older but the room is clean, the mattress is comfy, the bathroom is clean and mechanically in good shape. It's no Hilton, but neither is the price. Will definitely stay there again.
Go somewhere else if you need more than this.

Rudest customer service ever experienced!

Honestly, this place was exactly what I needed for an reasonably priced weekend stay. It wasn't the Ritz, but I didn't need or pay that.
The property is dated, but so are most of the hotels in the area. It was clean, managed, and I had housekeeping services everyday.
Next time I need a short or long visit, I'll definitely consider this property!

As always our goto hotel for visiting LIU. Never disappoints. Great Bacharach history!

As an Oyster Bay resident, I'm disappointed by the accommodations provided at the East Norwich Inn. The rooms are in desperate need of updating, staff was unmoved at best during check-in, and clientele sitting around the entrance were concerning. There was a filthy woman with no shoes on and an ankle bracelet sitting outside the hotel entrance door! The rooms are very outdated and can use some TLC. There's huge opportunity for this area to provide great accommodations as there are no other hotels in the area and for what lodging costs go for. Please improve!

The desk clerk was extreamly rude and "unwelcoming". He seemed annoyed with my existence. Very curt. When I asked if he would repeat himself as to negotiate my room in a place I've never been, he was impatient. Other then him, the rest of my stay was fine

My stay was wonderful...as usual!
This is my go to place to stay when i come down state.
Always comfy. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The Inn itself is a bit dated but that is part of its charm.

Basic, clean, not-fancy hotel. Absolutely fine if you just need a place to sleep. Quiet at night, comfortable bed. Does not have any amenities like a pool or breakfast, but there is a good bagel/breakfast place across the street.

The location was great but the hotel and management was terrible.

It was just for an overnight stay and was priced right.

The Norwich is a bit outdated. But.....that's part of it's charm.
The staff are very nice and the rooms are clean. The beds are especially comfy.
It is my go-to place

Everything was more than expected. The gentleman at the front desk was super friendly and very informative with good places to eat. Overall, I am looking forward to staying there again, i highly recommend it!

Some parts of the bldg are very beautiful; however, the hallways and rooms could use some updates.

The worst motel hotel anywhere rat role I could stay in
It should be he has it to be still standing there. It was filthy. It was undesirable to look at why we stayed. I don’t know to to move to another hotel in short time. Period to tell you the truth, I use bottled water to wash my teeth, but really you should be ashamed to call it a motel and you really should condemn it. Thank you for your option to tell the truth.

No breakfast. Just vending machines - cokes and chips. Carpeting very dirty. Old furniture. Coffee pot was broken. They brought me a new one - that was good. Got water faucet broken. They put in a new faucet while we were out. Outside door lock broken, so no real security except the front desk had many cameras. It could be a very nice hotel if someone invested in it and upgraded the rooms. The downstairs hallways were new. That’s all. Rooms are fairly large. Housekeeping came daily. Great location. Lots of potential….

Checked in and immediately decided to find another hotel for the night. Hallways and rooms were dirty and loud. Bathroom was moldy and old. Really disappointing.

The hotel isn't terrible but wasn't great either. The guy at the desk, whom I was told was in charge, was incredibly rude and unhelpful. He was also dishonest.

The night clerk was the most incompetent and unhelpful!

By far the strangest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The outside of the hotel, lobby, and main hallway were nice enough, which made the hallways to the rooms and the room itself an unpleasant surprise. The small hallway and room are extremely dated and poorly maintained. Room had a musty smell. Half of the lamps in our room did not work. There was a mystery door in the room with a towel over it (see picture). And a toothbrush clipped to a hanger (see picture). Given the price of the hotel I didn’t expect any frills, but only providing one pillow per person and no shower curtain liner is not even really meeting the bare minimum of basic hotel standards. Unfortunately our overall stay was unpleasant enough that we’ll have to find another place to stay next time we’re in town visiting family.

This property is definitely showing its age. Paint peeling. Cosmetic improvements ( painting, caulking) very poorly done. In room telephone not working. Front desk told me to call using cellphone. Have to chg rooms on our first night due to water leak in the bathroom.
Convenient location accdg to our needs. Clean facility.

I was in wing 5. It was run down, needed re-painting, and had a bad smell.

Not bad
Humidity and sugar smell

It was expensive as compared to what you get, elevator was not working, had to carry kids and luggage on 2nd floor, nothing was mentioned about elevator not working at booking time, later on in an email was informed about no pool, no elevator etc

Just ok…very affordable but hotel is old and needs updating. Limited services.

I’ve been here for a few days and it’s only because it’s close to the job. The place overall is ok but no hot water, not even warm water. And when I tell the staff they tell me to tell the maintenance guy that will be in overnight.

Couldn’t stay and had to find another hotel. No refund as of yet- requested. Immediately after check in, didn’t even unload the cart, I informed the front desk about the condition of room. Front desk said leave the key. No offer of other room. No acknowledgment. Still waiting for refund. Carving and drawing on wall and trash (unused tampon?)

We really liked the old fashioned style of the lobby, but the areas next to the rooms left something to be desired. Some of the furniture and decorations were a bit dated but I can tell the staff is trying their best to create a comfortable environment.
With enough investment and funding, this could be an amazing stay for anyone visiting the Oyster Bay Area! We really appreciate the kindness of the staff.

No elevators to 2nd floor and desk clerk with the white hair in the evening couldn’t be bothered helping you, he’d rather have his feet up watching tv
Had to reprogram my room key 3 times in my 5 day stay
Cheap hotel is what you get, cheap service and soft beds that increase back pain when you rise.
Time to invest in new mattresses

Dirty, dingy, toilet not secured to floor, bathtub doesn't drain, staff couldnt care less.
2.5 / 5.0
All I needed was a quiet stay with a bed and I got that - the mattress was comfy, the bed was great, the room was quiet. But I definitely want to give a shout out to Vince, the front desk guy, I forgot my stuffed animal in my bed, and called him freaking out! He shipped it out to me, without any questions asked and we are reunited. Thank you for caring for your customers!!!
