Wonderful for a short stay but little far from shopping districts!

Overall the hotel stay was satisfactory. However, we have had problems during checking in and checking out. First they gave us the wrong type of room because they run out of the room type which I have booked. Instead of upgrading us , they downgraded us to a smaller room without telling me. I only found out after been to the room in person. The receptionist refused to admit the mistake initially and refuse to do anything until I firmly demanded resolution and was going to make a formal complain. Then we have been upgraded and given free breakfast for compensation. When we checked out, they again, made a mistake on our bill. Took 20 mins standing on the front desk without resolving it. We refused to pay the extra because we have booked online 2 months before and the room price was set during online booking. The staff said the room fee paid wasn’t enough. I just told them to talk to their booking platform and refused to pay. This was quite ridiculous as I never experienced something like that before. Other than that, the hotel was clean and comfortable to stay. A bit off the usual tourist spots but not far from the Grand Palace by taxi.

Excellent hotel with the pool and added bonus on hot and humid days. Easy to get transport from and utilised Grab in the majority. Rooms spacious and clean, excellent breakfast and service. Would thoroughly recommend.

The WiFi connection is very weak. I need to go to the elevator hall to get the ok connection. There are no restrictions near by.

We had a terrible experience at the hotel. The receptionists and customer service staff in the breakfast area do not speak English well and are not polite. They rarely come around to offer assistance, and the cleanliness of the coffee cups and saucers is not up to standard. This was an issue every day during my 11-night stay. Additionally, the breakfast items were often not replenished when they ran out, requiring guests to find someone to request a refill.
Furthermore, we had a bad experience with a tour guide recommended by the hotel receptionist. The tour guide tried to overcharge us for a visit to the Floating Market at 2500 Baht per person, plus an additional fee for a boat ride. We refused his recommendation and opted to go to the designated place ourselves. Eventually, he took us to the right place, and it only cost a total of 1200 Baht for a 2-hour visit for the four of us. We strongly advise future guests to avoid using the hotel's tour service.

The property was very well maintained, the lobby is definitely 5 star quality. The pool was easy to access and very clean. The room had plenty of space for a family traveling with lots of luggage. The staff was welcoming (especially the door man), i wish i would of got his name. He was very helpful and literally walked us to a noodle shop that he recommended.
There were a few downsides to the hotel, such as the cost of eating at their breakfast buffet(2100 THB for a family of 4), You could literally feed a family of four in china town (seafood, 1900 TBH), for less than the cost of the breakfast buffet. The hotel was upgrading the wifi, so it was very limited in our room. Getting a taxi was easy, but it was a 30 minute drive to the nearest mall. We stayed a week and really enjoyed it overall.

Thia hotel is in a good location for the Grand Palace and nearby Kosan road but once away from the well maintained lobby and restaurant area the rooms and hallways are tired and in need of renovation. The bathroom was thw worst of all the bath had mould in the seals around the tiles just needs some.money spent on it ro have it reflect the rest of the property.
The pool area was ok but sunloungers need an upgrade as they looked tired and worn.

Staff are very hard working and really listen to you. Location is good for China town, khao san and MBK as its central to all three. Although now if you want a bargain you should go to bobae and definitely not MBK as it's a tourist trap. Bobae is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. Rooms are very large and comfortable, some of them could do with some attention. The swimming pool is great. Breakfast is good and the reception staff will help you as much as they can. A good hotel.

The lobby and reception are terrific. The dining room is very nice. I only had one meal which is good. The rooms are a little tired, very clean and neat but the bathrooms are more like eight or nine years old.
But you cannot be the price in the neighborhood is good

First, we didn't get the welcome drinks as indicated in the reservation. Next, the check-in, out agents are not helpful in translation with the Grab driver. When there was an issue with Expedia on the breakfast service, the front desk person refused to help and "pass the buck" to Expedia.

The tv would not turn on and when it did it would turn its self off after 1 minute.
The bed is on wheels and the bed kept moving away from the wall which meant the pillows would fall behind which is extremely inconvenient.
There was no hot water in the evening or morning even though I kept it running for long enough. No what i wanted before a 13 hour flight.my phone will not connect to WiFi as it Saus it is down.
The wind makes the window shake and rattle which makes a lot of noise and kept me awake at night.
10 minute walk to have a cigarette down stairs.
Staff felt like they was not responding when I say hello to them. So I do not rate the staff.

This is a good value for the money but be aware that this is an older property. It was obviously a very high end property in its heyday and they employ a ton of people who were all very courteous and hospitable. Things we didn’t like: The safe didn’t work, the coffee maker leaked, there were a few stains on the sheets and the shower was just plain old. What we liked: fairly close to Grand Palace, Temple Mount, Chinatown, and canal transportation. It was far however from a metro station. We also enjoyed the pool (very low key) and drinks were available in the lobby. So if you are particular about accommodations, this place is probably closer to budget accommodations with air conditioning (which we don’t mind). We appreciated the savings so we could spend more on dining and entertainment. It won’t be for you if you’re more of a Typa A traveler. PS there isn’t any dining close by but there are great options close to the city hall administration building and we found an amazing leather store nearby called Seng Chong. We got a pair of sandals, two wallets and a belt - all handcrafted on-site!

Lovely hotel - quiet with nice pool in a good location. Gym could be a little bigger, but overall a really good place to stay in Bangkok.

Staff are lovely and rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast has been reduced since covid, so inferior quality products are used. Swimming pool is lovely, fresh and clean. Nice foyer and a small gym. But 3rd floor carpet has a terrible smell, really rancid, it needs replacing. There used to newspapers , no more, and there used to be a free shuttle to MBK but that's gone too. It's such a shame. Covid has been a difficult period and I hope this hotel can find its way again. Good luck to its future.

This property needs updating, the rooms were clean enough and it was ok for a 2 night stay. The lobby looks updated. Breakfast was plentiful. Not really walking distance to much but you can grab a tuk tuk easily.

Conveniently located for walking around and visiting temples. Nice and quiet, super nice staff. Got the best massage (out of many) while in SE Asia. The breakfast buffet was definitely awesome!
