Fantastic location. Beautiful elegant charming!
1.0
The hotel is old, beautiful and charming. It is right on the canal and in a perfect location to be able to walk to all major sights. There is parking in the back, which although is for a fee, is incredibly convenient. The rooms are beautiful and bed is very comfortable.
I am incredibly disappointed in our experience however. I booked two rooms and asked that the smaller room have the beds set up as twins versus a king for our kids. They told me it was a 50euro fee, despite the fact that the room was advertised as either a twin or a king. I agreed to pay the fee. When we arrived, they had made the canal view room into the twin room. When i told them that was reversed and showed them my reservation they just said - well this is what our system says and we can’t fix it until tomorrow for another fee. I was visibly upset as the canal view room was very expensive and now had to wait another night to stay in the room which was something i went out of my way to book. They could have cared less and made it seem like i was to be punished for using hotels.com to make the reservation.
One morning we grabbed food and were eating at outside tables on the property, which for the three nights we had been there had never had a single guest sitting at them. A staff member came out to tell us we could only sit there if we were ordering from the restaurant. We were paying $800 a night for rooms and there is nowhere else to sit - no lobby. I have never felt less wanted at a luxury hotel before

Amazing 5 star hotel with great charm and history but modern rooms and amenities. Big rooms with high ceilings and fabulous French doors . Big bathrooms that are elegant and charming. Love this hotel . Would recommend this to any friends visiting Bruges. Great location on the canal and walking distance to all attractions around the center of town .

First the hotel is a old building in perfect condition. Very upscale feeling.
The room was gigantic, and comfortable with a nice view.
The staff was perfect, and they had private parking on site, a rarity in europe.
The town was wonderful!!! Lots of places to get a good meal and try out the super strong Belgan beer, and great chocolates.
Highly recommended

We love it here! Staff is friendly, engaging, and very professional. Rooms are spotless, private, well-appointed, comfortable, and many have a great view.
I hate sharing how great it is here, one of Bruges best kept secrets. We will always return for happy memories!

Celebrated New Year's Eve in Bruges, booking two lovely canal-view rooms at a high cost. Despite the hotel's overall beauty, we faced disappointments considering the price paid. No welcome at the entrance; we carried our luggage. Room lacked a dental kit, charged an extra €5 for it. Limited complimentary water, no additional drinks despite room fridges. Daughter's room had only a bathtub, no shower. Positive note: enjoyable breakfast, but inconveniently, the hotel didn't serve dinner or lunch, surprising us.

Well located hotel with beautiful and comfortable rooms. We stayed with our dog who had a warm welcome with treats in the room.

This property is just delightful and the pictures online don't do it justice! It looks the property has recently undergone renovation and it looks fantastic. The personnel is fantastic and the location is perfect for strolling downtown.
The only improvement I could suggest to work on is the selection in the menu at the bar.
Definitely recommend!

An absolutely fabulous experience.

This is a lovely boutique hotel and our room facing the canal was very bright and nicely appointed. The concierge/bartender, Jean-Phillipe, was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable of the history of the hotel and the city in general. He was a pure delight. The breakfast room is beautiful, and elegantly appointed and the breakfast was excellent. The lady in charge told us all about the many kinds of cheeses they offered and was delightful as well as very professional (I think she is the daughter of the owners?) We had two rooms here for us and a friend and although we really loved both the style and convenience of the hotel, we all had difficulty sleeping as the rooms were too warm and there was a lot of street noise, especially when we had to open the windows. The canal view was not worth the sleepless night and hopefully they have quieter rooms available. Since the primary purpose of a hotel room is a place to sleep, it would be worth their while to find a solution to this problem as it is the only blemish, albeit a major one to us.

The Hotel was lovely which was to be expected for the price charged. It was a bit of a surprise to learn that the spa area could not be accessed without paying an additional fee. Staff were helpful and welcoming.

Beautiful property. We stayed in the new wing. SO spacious and comfy
Hilde, Jean-Phillip & Nicholas were so caring and welcoming. It was a good idea to have people leave the key at the front desk. Much interaction between staff(((:

The hotel was amazing and far exceeded our expectations based on the website! The rooms were beautiful, large, comfortable and had incredible bathtubs and fantastic views with windows that open! The staff was extremely friendly and the onsite parking was an unexpected bonus. Truly one of the best hotels we've stayed in.

Great location, and the entire staff was excellent, especially Nicholas. Everything about our stay was fantastic, including the upgraded room. We will be back.

The hotel was excellent but the cost of parking was a shock at check out. 35 euros a night is ridiculous. I should have researched it, spotted it or asked but we were guided to it by the staff and no-one mentioned the price at any time. Everything else was great. The staff could not be more helpful and the location is perfect. But add room, breakfast, parking, drinks altogether its too expensive for what it is.

Amazing boutique luxury hotel. Perfect for a relaxing weekend away. Ok almost don't want to leave a review so we can keep this place a bit under the radar so it stays so peaceful 😂.
The room was spacious and modern but keeps the historic charm of the building. The staff was extremely professional and helpful.

Wish there was a handrail coming down the steps from the bathroom to the bedroom.

Great Hotel with good service and nice and attentive staff. The hotel is a great location, definitely recommend getting the canal view. Room was big, clean, and comfortable. Slept well every night. They even had a child sized robe and slippers which was a big hit for our son.

We really enjoyed our stay but there where a few smaller things that we missed. WiFi didn’t work when you where sitting in the bed and there where no hooks to hang clothes or towels on in the bathroom.

This hotel sits across the street from one of the Brugge canals. We had a room with a canal view that was so amazing we spent more time then planned just starting out the wide open windows viewing the canal, beautiful old buildings, small tour boats on the canal and tourists walking by. The hotel was built over 500 years ago and was one of only two hotels mentioned on both the boat and van tours that we took while in Brugge. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone I talk to about Brugge!
