Wasn’t as gross as some of the other reviews but it definitely wasn’t clean. Sticky and litter in the drawers; dust caked in the exhaust fan; old bathroom fixtures that were kind of gross. Staff was lovely; breakfast was relatively edible; beds were comfortable; looked a lot closer to campus than it was - had hoped to walk but it was not walking distance. Photos were definitely deceiving as was the “completely renovated” description.

Awesome experience! The staff (especially Cheryl!!) were welcoming and so so patient as we worked through a booking snafu with Expedia. Expedia and hotels.com had terrible customer service but Cheryl really saved the day to make sure we were taken care of

So, from the road the building looked old and When I was driving up I said to myself I know that’s not where the hotel is..
It was though.
I check into the room first floor, my first room the toilet had a leak, was water around it in the back.
Move to room across the hall,
Had a smell when I turned off the air , smelled like feet.
But the light console had some brown rust / weird looking stuff all over it which made me feel yucky.
The beds were clean pillows Also ., but I didn’t feel at ease… so I ended up asking for a refund. Didn’t stay more than a couple hours as I debated with myself if I could drive home or if I needed to suck it up .. was told I could get 20% towards the room and or move to another room. I just wanted to leave and drive the 2 hours instead of stay where I wasn’t comfy . So taking a loss. Waiting to see the charges of refund in my account now and a phone call to verify this from them. Was told 2-3 days I’ll hear something. The lady with the red hair and other lady Trinity were very very nice to me. I told her that COUNTS FOR A WHOLE LOT. Customer service is very important regardless so thanks again.

Checking in was easy, facilities like breakfast area and gym looked nice and in good shape. Riding up in the elevator to the 3rd floor was an experience as it resembles and sounds like an elevator built by medieval amusement park operators missing safety permits. The room was comfortable, Shower was a bit unique with a swivel head attachment but pressure and temp was decent. The mattress had a full encasement and the bed was clean. It was firm which I like.
Now I know Hotels can't stop stupid from renting, but this one seems more susceptible. Even though there are no smoking, no vaping signs in plain sight there was still a cheech and chong fest on my floor. And these ganja loving, putrid cloud spewing folk; set off the fire alarms at regular intervals until nearly 2am. The stink nearly caused me to leave.

Overall a good stay. Only issues were in the bathroom. Shower faucets were mixed up (hot faucet put out cold water) and bathroom fan did not work.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Hallway was dirty, elevator was dirty. All night party across the hall not addressed by staff. Room reeked of marijuana. Fire alarm pulled in middle of night and had to leave the hotel at 4am. Asked for refund for night and was told no because it was booked through 3rd party. Only positive was the breakfast.

Black mold in our room, urine in the stairwell that was not cleaned for 3 days. The staff was nice but did nothing about the stairwell and just moved us one room over to avoid the black mold. We got in at 2 am, and it was dark, but we were shocked at how humid the room was, and the tile floor was slippery. We were exhausted and it was dark, so we did not notice until the next day the black mold on the walls, ceiling, floors... it was everywhere- not subtle. This hotel was gross in every way.

We definitely hit the jackpot for getting THE WORST room. Our room had a horrible/funky smell that front desk told us was related to the toilet?!? The rug in the room was totally wet so we had to keep our shoes on all of the time. TV in our room had no receiver box or remotes so did not work was just there for show. No housekeeping/fresh towels given despite the fact that we were there for 2 nights. Just the worst.

Awful, do not stay at this hotel if you have any type of respiratory issues. The hotel has mold, mildew, dust, dirt and smells horrible. The carts used to transfer luggage is stained.

This place is a dump. It is filthy, bugs and has mold. Do not be deceived by the pictures on the website. The worst stay ever.

The new TV in our room did not work and no one seemed to know how to fix it. The ice machine on our floor was missing and all that was left were pipes coming out of the floor. One elevator was broken and the other was dirty. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is just tired looking.

We didn't really stay -- checked out five minutes after we checked in and were comfortable forfeiting the $120. With the neighborhood, condition of the premises, attitude of the staff, and overall vibe, we just didn't feel safe so we bailed. This is also the last time I prepay through a travel site like hotels.com. I made the mistake of prioritizing proximity to Wake Forest University over hotel quality.

Whole room smelled of dogs even the pillows. Bathtub still had hair all over. Shower curtain stained from mold and meldew. Shower broke so water still ran from bottom faucet. House keeping bangs on every door at 9am so hard to sleep in.

The staff was great but our room was never cleaned for 3 days, even after I requested it. The telephone in the room never worked, the building was not clean!

Horrible staff! We stayed for 4 days with our two young children. We asked the staff everyday, several times to clean our room, especially that our garbage was full of dirty diapers. We had to stay in a dirty room, full of dirty towels. Phone was also not working in our room, so we had to get down to get anything we needed with two kids.
Moreover during our check in, the lady at the front desk wanted to charge us again although we had payed online and said that she is not able to accommodate us. They suddenly another person comes and said it went through and she was able to give us a room.

I tried to reach out to an Expedia agent after finding the pool was closed to cancel my reservation and had to book a room across the street to have use of a pool in a 90 degree day. There was a homeless person staying all 3 nights in the parking lot if the hotel.

Room was clean. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
6.0 / 10.0
No housekeeping for a week. NONE! Had to ask for clean towels, soap, toilet paper, tissues at front desk. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special. Same offerings everyday (one wk stay). Pool was closed for a few days. You do t get what you don’t pay for.

The room was nicer than expected. The staff was super friendly. Breakfast was scrambled eggs sausage ,grits and biscuits and gravy, waffles, muffins and juices. For the best value in town. We will be back.

Staff was very uneducated and unprofessional. I called to ask pet policy before hand told me $250 when I got back up to the front to pay it they told $297 and I asked on the phone if $250 was the total before hand. They watched me pull the entire $250 on my account out at the atm and then said they didn’t take cash! Rooms weren’t even all that great no micorwave and had a door that led to other room next to us. Area wasn’t nice either.

Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast choices were great.

Plumbing (bathtub) dripped steadily and was bad enough to be heard through the room. Bathtub finish worn and looked awful.
