Until the lobby/dining refurbishments are finished, the hotel has nothing to offer but a long walk through basement hallway. Seriously. The cost of this misery remained astonishingly high. My room, during a period when the hotel was not at full occupancy, was on the third floor facing an alleyway. You shouldn’t have to complain to receive a modicum of respect

Property was partially under renovation, which caused an issue with lifts. Lastly, I had requested requested the last day of statement which is yet to be received. Regards

Thank you Omar for making your son’s birthday weekend one of the best vacations yet. We will be staying at the St Regis in Punta Mita and are looking forward to it after this experience.

We stayed for a couple of days/nights in one of their deluxe suites. The butler service was incredible, very courteous prompt, willing to help in any way. The rooms were very clean, in fact cleaned a couple of times during the day if we needed. They were working on the lobby. Although you needed to go to substitute lobby, all personnel were very nice directly us where to go. We can not wait to have our next trip into NYC & stay at the St. Regis

This felt like a bait and switch. The hotel was under construction and the entire lobby and restaurant and bar were closed. Felt like a prison. The checkin "upgraded" us from our king to a "bigger" room. What a joke. it wasn't bigger just a room with two full beds that felt like they were mattresses bought on sale at kmart before they went bankrupt. She staff were indifferent. Absolutely not worth a grand a night. Expedia should have told us details of the construction before booking. I would have stayed at the four seasons.

They should have stop booking rooms under these conditions…

The hotel lobby and restaurants are all under construction. We were never notified of this ahead of time. In fact, we were getting emails about booking dinner in the restaurant which was not even open. Our room was not ready at 5:45 pm for check in. Instead of the 2 double bed room, we got a one bed and a roll away bed. Secondly, the hot water facet shut off after 30-45 seconds in the bathroom. There was no hot water in the bathtub. When we tried to place our breakfast order Friday evening for Saturday morning, the staff was rude and did not want to take our order. We thought we would have a wonderful weekend bridal shopping for my daughter. The hotel was a huge disappointment.

We chose the St.Regis for its famous lobby and bar and classic charm. We were not told until just before our arrival that the lobby was being renovated and off limits and the bar and restaurant were closed. We understand those are being modernized and the beautiful rooms will also be modernized. Exactly what we do not want, so we will not return.

This is the best hotel in NYC. The service is impeccable. The rooms are well appointed and beautifully maintained. The in-room dining is fantastic and our butler team were attentive and helpful despite being very busy over the holiday period. Highly recommend if you want to have a unique and luxurious experience.

The St Regis is due for a makeover. Its entire decor is dated. Everything there is priced double of what its really worth. If you like to over pay than this is your stay.

Each staff member that helped us was wonderful. The only areas of improvement for the room were that there were no slippers and the televisions were very poor quality. The hotel I would give 5 stars. The room service food I would sadly have to give 2 stars. The food was AWFUL. Risotto was watery mush with no seasoning. Ordered an avocado tofu scramble which was beautifully presented but tasted like nothing, They do not seem to use salt or any other seasonings when cooking. Ordered a mixed selection of ice cream and it all just tasted BAD. Great hotel absolutely stay here but don't order food. We were being lazy and did not take advantage of the countless great restaurants in the city.

Such great expectations for this hotel but sadly did not produce a great experience. The hotel itself is very nice. Not as impressive as some of the others in the same category but very old school and well kept. Unfortunately that’s where it stopped. First of all, no warning of construction going on and my room was terribly loud with air hammer drills and workers yelling for the first three hours. Asked to change rooms but they said construction would be over at 5 and gone for the weekend. Feel sorry for the people who stayed through the week. With the exception of the front desk and the butler, service was horrible. Waited forever to get a table at Astor court, food took forever and the quality of food was horrendous. They should be ashamed. Chicken was room temperature and no aesthetic value to anything. Gigantic clumps of hair in the shower upon arrival which tells me nothing was cleaned. Took 20 mins to get a waiter for morning coffee, brings out my espresso and girlfriends cup then forgets the coffee. We never saw the waiter again. Hostess disappeared so I actually had to get the concierge to get the coffee. Most of this stuff is easy to forget if you’re at the holiday inn but not at this price point. These are the best hotels in the world and everything should be top notch. Stay at the Plaza or the Four Seasons this place was a joke

I stayed five (5) nights at the St Regis New York. I enjoyed every moment of my stay. From the moment I checked in, to the moment I checked out, I was always made to feel welcomed and valued as a guest. People knew my first name and would greet me as such when I returned from sight seeing. The door men out front of the hotel are keenly aware of who the guests are, and promptly open doors for you, ask if you need a taxi hailed, or simply smile and greet you in the morning. The butler and maid service was excellent. I requested coffee for each morning at 7 am, and that request was executed to perfection. The gym was on the small side, but was always well organized and clean. There is an attendant who is there to assist you. The Astor restaurant was also excellent and a little on the pricey side, but, in my opinion, delivered delicious food and was convenient for an early morning breakfast before exploring the city, or for those late evening returns to the hotel when my feet were hurting and i just wanted to relax in my room, the option to dine in the hotel was there, and I was happy for that. Other reviews mentioned difficult staff or snobbery. I did not once experience that vibe. Everyone, I mean everyone, was professional, kind, courteous and genuine. The location is perfect, nestled between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue, both major shopping hubs. Central Park and the train aka subway, are both about a 5 minute walk. I will definitely stay again. I highly recommend.

This St Regis is a place to AVOID! Booked 4 rooms for 4 nights for our business trip. I had to change rooms not once, not twice but 3 times to get into a somewhat not smelly room. Beautiful historical building admiration comes with a price tag of Smokey/old/mold smell through ventilations.
Room dining-their scanned QR code in your room might have different prices than the hotel register, your bill will come out with surprises. Make sure you CHECK!
Late night noises-on this narrow street there were constructions going on 2am—5am, called the front desk and was told it’s emergency PG&E stuff, there’s NOTHING they can do.
Overall, headache/stress to stay there the whole trip not be able to be myself during business meetings. My team and I travel to NYC often for biz, I will make sure St Regis doesn’t get our business ever again.

Great place to stay, close to all the stores. The staff was friendly and attentive, one of the best hotel to stay in NYC.
