Was a good nigth, suggest better bed sheets

The rooms have been partially remodeled as flooring and some painting. Some walls were partially painted. Nice large rooms but no chair or tables to sit at. Towels were very worn and thin.
Odor constant in bathroom of Room 123. No one came to make up our beds for the 3 nights. We had to call for towels and trash to be emptied. We did not have Do Not Disturb sign on.

Lake Place Inn: Where the Stay is Hot, the Rooms Smell Smoky, and J.Lo Speaks Spanish
As locals living just an hour away from Lake Havasu City, we decided to book a room at the Lake Place Inn for a night with our three kids. We had to be in town anyway, so we figured why not make a fun night of it? Upon arrival around 7 PM, we were hopeful until we opened the door to our first room. The overwhelming scent of stale cigarettes greeted us like an unwanted guest. It was as if the room had been sealed since the '90s, preserving the aroma of a thousand ashtrays.
The front desk was understanding and promptly moved us to another room. This new room had a different set of challenges. The air conditioning, while present, seemed to be on a permanent coffee break, leaving us to simmer in the desert heat. But hey, we’re troopers at least we had a TV to distract us, right? Wrong. The remote was missing, and after manually flipping through channels, we found ourselves stuck watching a Jennifer Lopez movie...in Spanish. ¡Qué divertido!
Determined to salvage the evening, we headed to the pool, which we were told was open until 10 PM. The kids, as kids do, were having a blast splashing around… until a gentleman in room 109 decided our fun was too much for his sensitive ears. His negative comments about the kids playing made it clear that one side of the hotel was more like a retirement community, while the other side hosted short-term guests like us.

We stayed in room 105 in July 2024 and were very, very happy with the cleanliness and quality of the facilities particularly for the very affordable price. The floors were not carpeted but laminate and clean. The bathroom seemed recently re-tiled. Also very clean. Nice, fluffy towels.
As many people say who have left favourable reviews, this is a very well set up place for the inexpensive price. The outside is a little bit rustic, but we did see repairs and painting happening in just one day while we stayed. If you're looking for the Ritz, it would be delusional to think that's what you would find for this price, but this is more than enough for a reasonable person.
We didn't get a chance to hop in the pool, but it looks lovely, and our room, and probably most on the ground floor open into the interior pool area. Totally recommend this as a place to rest, and tons of great breakfast options within walking distance.
The motel is minutes drive from Lake Havasu if you want to take a dip.
Also, the gal at check-in was very friendly and helped us find our way with what we needed.

The bathroom was half painted in the cabinets, and door… need weather stripping where you could see light come in. Door locks did not feel secure. Head boards were missing pieces. This is a $35. A night hotel! Needs serious updating!

Stay was disappointing. Exterior appears old and dated. Rooms were okay. Appeared to have undergone some remodeling. Our room did have a really nice view of the lake. Overall, not worth the price charged. Shortly after returning home, I came down with pink-eye, which I suspect I may have picked up while staying here.

Tub fixtures were falling off the wall. The chair had a big whiteish stain towards the front. Looked like bodily fluids. The bed spread had brownish stuff on them. The pillows and pillow cases had drool stains on them. The sheets had yellow stains. The water smelled like mildew. Must be the pipes. The toilet, tub and sink seemed clean though.

This property has gone down hill fast. Latest stay dealt with about 20 roaches scattered around room and coming out from bedding. Property is dirty and run down.

Parking could be better, , people take up two parking spaces, which doesn’t leave room for others, other than that met my standards!! Staff is great, rooms were clean!

The property looks very old school but is well run and maintained.
Large comfortable rooms.
The popular "Downtown" strip is within very short and easy walking distance.
A lot of "fun" food, drinks and shops!!
Very reasonable pricing from October to April; "Snowbird Season"!!
Different pricing structure and deposits for the rowdy summer party months!
Typical of most properties during that time frame.

Not a fancy place, but the location is perfect for why we were in town. We come in town on Friday nights to have fun at the bars, then take the boat out on Saturday for a day on the water. By staying here we didn't have to drive or get an Uber from the bars back to our rooms. We will definitely stay here again.

Difficult to access. Old and dated. Rooms kept very clean but no lamps, just overhead lighting. Good for the price in this area. Excellent pool.

Very convenient location for the night life in Havasu.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the grounds were kept clean. The central patio felt homey like and apartment complex. You could tell they are working on updates as the bathroom looked to have been newly renovated. However, the condition of the furniture was worn and the paint was pealing by the door. The mattress was comfortable, however, the pillows were just about the flattest things I've ever seen and there were only two for each bed. That's good for a stomach sleeper, but not for a side sleeper. I'd suggest bringing your own pillows. I was pleasantly surprised to find a microwave and mini fridge/freezer as that had not been listed in the description. Overall, it was a much better experience than I've had at similarly priced or even higher priced hotels. I'd stay again.

The photos of the outside do not do justice. I was skeptical before arriving and a little when i pulled in as it is in a older area of town. The lady at the desk was very nice and informal. She kindly switched my room feom a double queen to a king bed as that side of the building is quieter. I got to my room and was pleasantly surprised as the inside looks nothing like the outside. Thw room is updated with "hardwood" linoleum. Everything was clean and no bugs (I check because bugs freak me out🙃)

The first thing I saw when I pulled up was someone lighting a meth pipe outside one of the rooms, and the jumbled trash that was out back covered with tarps and ratchet straps. Overall the place is in pretty rough shape. It needs new carpets and almost everything could use a fresh coat of paint or three. There’s a few modern appliances in the room, such as the mirror, but the tap for the bathtub almost fell off the wall when I tried to turn the shower on. There was also a faint smell of urine in the room, and a handful of stains on the sheets and towels.

The front desk person was super helpful, friendly and professional. It’s was way better than travelers inn…. The bathroom was remodeled. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Everything is walking distance, food, bar and laundry in on premises. I will stay here again.

King size bed wasn't stable. It learned to one side. Room was clean. Nice to have the small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Staff was friendly. Pool looked inviting but we were told it was cold.
4.0 / 5.0
The room was fantastic and up to date, except I did have an issue the furniture in the room. Table and end tables by bed need to be sanded down to repaint due to them being scratched up. King size bed needs to be updated along with new bedding, mine had rips and tears. But overall the room was very spacious, enjoyed the lighting and color scheme. It was worth staying for the low price and would definitely stay again. The location is also perfect, right next to downtown so everything is within walking distance

Deceptive "old-school" motel appearance.
Reality; a well maintained property.
It IS a budget venue, but, great value for the buck.

The room we stayed in was very comfortable, clean, spacious, and the view from the back door was amazing! It's obvious the staff really cares about keeping everything clean and fresh. I think it's an older property but once you're in the courtyar the grounds and the pool are kept very clean and pretty.
Everyone we came across treated us very nice. We really enjoyed our stay.

The bathroom door was warped so would not close. The bathroom towels were old and needed to be replaced. Parking was very tight with a little space to maneuver. The bed pillows were old and needed to be replaced.

Ive stayed a this hotel back when it was Knights Inn...lots of improvements to the rooms! Buildings still need some exterior repairs. Was disappointed to find that the laundry was out of order. Otherwise was happy with my stay
