Room was amazing… breakfast was not too good…

THE VIEW!! Loved our stay here. Also enjoyed the walking path behind the hotel that connects to other hotels and down to the beach. Great spot!

Every room has a balcony or patio and most have a fabulous view of the ocean. The grounds are lovely. Breakfast buffet is good with both hot and continental offerings. The restaurant (Ventana Grill) next to the hotel is fabulous.

Loved sitting at the firepit watching the sunset! And was able to walk next door for great dinner at the Ventana Grill.

Friendly staff. Clean room. Parking was a little challenging at night very limited. Breakfast food court seemed short staff couldn’t keep up with supplies and coffee demand people waiting.

While I love staying here and have done so many times the hotel is under construction and it was rather nosey and half the main parking lot was blocked off. That being said the hotel now has ACE parking charging $15 per day to park at the hotel above the room cost and onsite fees. Frankly I feel this is a money grab on the hotels part as there is no non paid parking options for guests.

My stay was ok. The parking is great and convenient. Unfortunately, you do not pay at the front desk, you have to pay online. Breakfast is great, and staff is great as well. The rooms are nice, the beds are clean, but they do have very uncomfortable pillows! Overall, it was a good stay, not on top of my list, but it's not a bad stay.

Marketing misleading, not a resort, no spa facility and they definitely allow pets, beware for those who have allergies or low immune system. This place is more like a very expensive one star Motel with one amenity (pool), on a cliff overlooking the ocean. I can only describe it as outdated, under repairs, seedy, dirty, Mildew in the shower grout, and infested with ants and flies in room, on furniture and in bed!

I love the place!

Get an ocean view room. The view was out of this world and so were the gardens with hummingbirds, squirrels, and rabbits. Room is fine, but it was infested with many tiny ants - Do not leave any food out.

This was a cute remodeled seaside motel. Very friendly staff. Gorgeous view from the ocean front 2nd level room. Clean room and linens. Nice little balcony.

A little bit outdated, the views are what it is all about. Thin walls and floors.the beach access was the best.

The small downtown area is close by and provides sufficient choices of food.

Beautiful secluded location, great views and walking path. Only one restaurant within walking distance. Staff was friendly and hard working. The rooms were clean, the bed and pillows weren't the most comfortable but fine. The disappointing part of our stay was the breakfast. The price of the room and the additional "$40" resort fee and $15 parking fee, we just didn't see the value in what we paid for the room and the fees on top of it. We expected a bit more.

Wonderful! Really Great! Perfect location to Pismo - close enough to walk, bike and run but out of the traffic and noise. Beach, pool & jacuzzi, oceanfront with unobstructed views! Amazing sunset Wow!

Stunning views just try to get room closer to pool or better yet overlooking the pool.

The views all along the property and down to the beach and from our balcony were amazing! We watched majestic pelicans take off from the cliff and fly right by us for over an hour-- that was incredible! Not happy, however, to pay for parking at the hotel, that seemed ridiculous, especially after what we paid for the room.

Did not like having to pay extra for parking and separate resort fee. Price for night stay should be all inclusive so can fairly compare rates for lodging in the area.
Breakfast could be improved. For quality of hotel should be able to provide more choices and better quality of items provided. Pastries low quality and dry. Fruit juices in cartons frozen each morning at breakfast, totally useless. Would be better to have regular dispenser than in cartons. Also towels in pool area should be replenished each morning - only a few available in morning for those wishing to take morning swim or use hot tub.

Beautiful place! Right on the cliff edge, fantastic view of the coast on one side and the pier on the other. Couldn’t have picked a better place for my summer vacation.

The check in process was poor. I arrived early once and was told to come back later due to room not ready. I came back close to check in and was told room wasn’t ready. I had to wait 30 minutes before room was ready. The first male individual wasn’t accommodating at all! All he said was that since it’s a hotel rooms take time to be ready. Very rude! The second time I tried to check my room wasn’t ready but the young lady was nice even though room wasn’t ready. It’s a shame since we were celebrating my daughter’s graduation.

Nice property. About a mile from the Pismo Beach pier. Unfortunately, had to pay for parking.

Yeah i will never stay here again. There are better places to stay and for the same price.

Stayed at the Shore Cliff in late July. The average nightly rate was between $500-$530 prior to the $40 per night resort fee and $15 parking. At this significant cost, and additional resort fee, we selected this hotel specifically to relax at the pool based on the upscale photos on the website. We were severely disappointed in our stay. The smell of the seagulls and pelicans was so strong it was nauseating sitting by the pool and from our balconies. However, it was the absolutely disgusting lack of cleanliness of the entire property with the bird feces that was the real issue. The seagulls were everywhere, screaming extremely loud 24 hours a day, and pooped all over the grounds. To make it worse, all the pool chair covers were soaked with water and covered in poop. So you had to miserably lay on wet soggy pool cushions covered in poop. Not to mention all the seagulls screaming and flying around the pool, but also in the pool itself, which is unsanitary. It was obvious, from the spider webs full of feathers and poop on the walkways, stairs, and pool that no action is being taken to address it. At $500 a night, the hotel should be power washing and sanitizing and cleaning all surfaces throughout the summer or warn guests. Other hotels next door had zero issues. When told, the hotel responded “it’s hard to keep up with the birds”. Then don’t charge $500 a night and a resort fee if you can’t offer high end accommodations that are clean and sanitary. Never going back.

Hotel is nice, a little dated but setting on the cliff gives and amazing view. Right off the 101 so very convenient.
Sadly, the cost reflected the beauty of the setting vs overall value of the room. Parking was an additional cost, which was sad given we were hotel guests.

Our room was not ready on time but the staff was very kind and let us into the pool area while we waited. The cookies from a local bakery at the front desk was a nice surprise.

It was great! The front desk staff were very helpful and showed excellent customer service. My parking was waived which was very kind of the staff member. She also recommended a few restaurants to eat at and provided a coupons. The breakfast that was provided in the morning was delicious! It had a beautiful view of the ocean & pier. I loved it! Thanks for making my partner’s birthday an awesome one!
