Have I been at worse unfortunately yes but not much worse. Real outdated the neighborhood‘s a little sketchy with plenty of good restaurants nearby all warning to keep your vehicles locked up. the hotel runs along side an active and very loud train crossing. the breakfast they offer should not even be offered. maybe just coffee and juice would’ve been better.

The room was clean an comfortable for my purpose of being close to the airport.

This hotel is a hidden gem. I love it so much I almost don’t want to review it so it doesn’t get too booked. The rooms are large and well appointed with TV, microwave, and mini fridge. Most importantly they are pristinely clean. The staff is friendly, helpful, and highly efficient. The location is perfect and parking is on site and garaged. You absolutely cannot beat this value. I am a repeat guest—anytime I am in Oakland for business, this is where I stay.

The hotel was not clean. There was brown mystery stuff on the ceiling, a random pill on the ground, and the bath tub was filthy. The hallway reeked of cigarettes and the danishes at breakfast tasted multiple days old. If we weren’t exhausted from a long road trip , we would’ve gone anywhere else.

Falsely advertise and on arrival over hearing the front desk say that some rooms don’t have ac or the ac unit doesn’t work wasn’t great.

Welcomed with a friendly staff.
Room was quiet and peaceful.
Clean with lots of tv channels

The bed was comfortable, and that's about all I can say about the property. It was poorly maintained and hasn't seen an upgrade in many years.

Booked to spend the night after a concert at the Fox Theater. Great location and cool vibes at the hotel.

All I can say is that hotel was disgusting, run down, smelly, and not a safe place. From the ripped up carpet, stained walls counters and ceilings, random people in the hallways trying to lure you into their rooms, and smell of dog piss this stay was honestly the worst Ive ever done.

I was greeted very politely and welcomed with care.

The hotel is very outdated. The hallway carpet was soiled. The linen on one of the beds was soiled. The sink was rusted. Breakfast was terrible!

The customer service team was excellent but the hotel in general as a atmosphere needed a facelift there was mold on the ceiling &no comforter on beds I won’t stay there again but it was close to entertainment and restaurants that were outstanding

Convenient location from Amtrak and ferry to San Francisco. Comfortable beds. Convenient breakfast offered was a bonus. Thank you.

Double booked my room (or there was someone squatting there, don't know). Receptionist (nice guy) gave me keys and we went to open it but the bolt was locked and there was a guy and I'm assuming his family inside. I asked to cancel. Don't know if it simply was an honest mistake, but nonetheless we left and got another hotel (I'll admit 30 bucks more expensive) that was way better in Alameda (continental breakfast, gym, pool, nice interior). This place has to step up it's game (maybe one day they will).

Not bad for the price! We needed to find a place to sleep in a not so bad area. This was it. The building needs some major upgrades but it was fine. The breakfast is just cereal, toast, jelly and coffee.

The manager is horrible. I booked and stayed the first night with my family and pretty after being displaced. We were in the 4th floor. Paid pet deposit and everything.
The next morning I was asked if I was going to extend stay and they said okay. Moments later they said they did not allow dogs on the 4th floor, and will die the person who allowed it. I asked if I can do it later since my family members were at work, but he said within 15 mins and I can't take more time. I was injured after the fire too. He said if I could move in I can move out. Very inappropriate. Injured after a traumatic event and to be told that just shows the lack of hospitality. I asked around and the employees said no they don't have a no dog policy on the 4th floor.
They placed me on floor 2. There were other dogs there. I was like okay. I turned on the heater and smoke came out. Realizing how it smelt, some one hot boxed in the room for sure. And that the freshness of the room was to hide the smell. I then went to walk my dog and my family was frighten at what they saw. It wasn't appropriate for children. The freshness was gone. People were triggered by the smell of smoke, since we had an apartment fire.
They moved us to the 4th floor. After they said they didn't allow dogs. After sending us to an unsafe floor. After being shocked they sent a kid to the second floor.

An inexpensive option to be right near Jack London Square; the immediate area is walkable with a decent amount of dining options. You are literally next to an active set of railroad tracks and you will hear trains!

I’m an older woman with mobility issues. I arrived early in the morning because my train trip left me with a layover in Oakland early in the morning. I arrived I was cold and told the front desk clerk if I could sit in lobby because I knew it was too early to check in. He told me I couldn’t so I was stuck sitting out in front of lobby on a rock at 6:30 in the morning. I did finally get an Uber to take me to a nearby restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast I walked loaded down with my luggage and came. The old man that was there earlier was gone. He was rude and unprofessional. I plan to never go there again.

Staff friendly, helpful. Property clean. Rooms comfortable enough for what you pay. Despite being cheap, everything was super clean and organized. Parking inside the building and security all night. Good staying.

There was no air-conditioning in the room and this was during a serious heat wave. They brought us 2 fans. The bed has hard as a rock and shaky. The bathroom apoeared to be the original bathroom form the 40's. Continental breakfast was coffee and bread. We laughed and went out to eat. We asked for fresh towels the next day tom housekeeping and never got them. I had to go to the front desk. The windows had no screens! Worst hotel I've ever slept in.

Property is across the street from a cool plaza buzzing with people and activities... But the hotel itself was not the best. There was dog poop on the stairwell... the breakfast was non existent. The train passes twice an hour blaring the horn all night and doesn't let you sleep. Other than that, it was a good location. Be aware of your surroundings and especially at night. I heard a weird explosion and it can get really sketchy at night. Make sure to get enough snacks and water to get you through the night as there are no convenience stores nearby.

An unfortunate stay, the neighbors of the room smoking marijuana, the last day they broke the right rear window and the hotel is demarcated.
There was no way to talk to the manager and the receptionist told us, remember you're in Oakland
