Absolutely awesome hotel. Bed was incredible! Breakfast was amazing! Super clean and quiet. Close to Main St and 1880’s train. We will be back!!

This was a great hotel. It’s a bit dated with limited amenities. Full kitchenette had no dishwater or cookware. Staff was super friendly. Beautiful area. Would stay again

The property is not 2 miles from Mount Rushmore. It was a little inconvenient. We drove from Atlanta ga so we got there late and wanted to be close by Mount Rushmore. So the information was wrong.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is in good shape but the matress on the bed is overdue to be replaced. There was a a gathering of people with tractors who apparently meet in Hill City every couple years and the parking lot was filled with tractors, the trailors that transported the tractors, and the trucks that pulled them. They FILLED the lot. Our first night we could not park in the lot. They seemed to have no control over the parking lot situation and management should have someone out there making sure that tractors were kept on their trailers so they didn’t take up so many spaces. This was a problem for us for the first 2 nights we were there.

We like best western so we choose this over other Hill City hotels. The Hot tub was not working and the pool had some kind of film on the water. The pool was in a separate building than we were in so we had to go outside to get to it. It was pretty cool outside so and wet and you are Cold

Was disappointed with the room, it was suppose to b handicapped accessible and there was no way we could get our daughter in the tub for a shower. There also was no room on either side of the bed for a wheelchair for us to get her in bed

Comfy beds! Great breakfast selection. Nice amenities however was looking forward to the coffee bistro but was told they closed it during the pandemic. Odd, the pandemic was over 3 1/2 yrs ago. Workers behind the reception desk don’t wear masks. No one does. Pool was nice and warm and hot tub was toasty, warmest one I’ve been to in along time. Would stay again

Cheked in really late at night. couldn't get hotel.com to work on my phone. the man at the front desk did it for me on his computer, so i could use my gift card. The staff here is so nice!

It was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was comfy and clean and large. Abundance of towels. Breakfast was deluxe, almost anything you wanted. Gift shop was great, reasonably priced. Very convenient to everything. Highly recommend!

Refrigerator froze everything. Water in the hot tub was brown and jets were not very powerful. Some of the lighting in the suite needs to be updated, the ceiling lights flickered and took a long time to come on. Being a suite with a kitchenette, it would be nice to have some dishes, cutlery, sponge, dish soap, paper towels, etc. But after all said, the suite was roomy, clean, nice counter space and bathroom, and met our needs. The price was reasonable, the breakfast buffet was great, and the kids loved the indoor pool.

Have stayed here 3 of the 5 years I’ve gone for Sturgis Bike Week. It is a great hotel all around except for the landscaping. For whatever reason the new owner or owners are letting weeds and the grass grow wild. Again still a great hotel not sure why they are letting the grounds go.

I had two rooms for two nights. The only two opportunities. Gym equipment is dirty and there is no ventilation. The staff isn’t friendly. They don’t greet you or say hello when they pass you Rooms were comfortable and clean. Great location and breakfast spread.

The BW Golden Spike was a good hotel. It is old, and maybe doesn't clean up as well as a new one would, but it was good anyway. Hill City is a great place to stay; lots to do and we enjoyed the bikers from Sturgis.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the Best Western in Hill City. We stayed there on our way east to Custer State Park. The proximity to Custer State Park was great. Our kids loved the breakfast and we (as parents) enjoyed the spacious two queen room with sofa bed. We also really liked how there were two sinks -- one inside the bathroom, and one outside of it. The sink area outside of the bathroom was very spacious. The pools looked awesome but we did not use them due to timing. We would definitely stay there again.
