Our stay was amazing! We visited for our honeymoon and got the Japanese style Cyprus bath room. The beds were comfortable. We ordered late night in room dining that included ramen and a couples massage. The gardens were gorgeous and wonderful to walk through before we started our day. We highly recommend visiting this beautiful hotel.

We really liked this hotell. Nice staff, the room was big with really nice view. Rather close to different stations. Lovely Japanese garden. It was easy to get taxis just outside.
4.5
Laundry services were way too expensive. I do not recommend using the hotel services.

The hotel is massive but of very high standard. We currently have a major payments issue with the hotel . on your arrival we were required to make an authority payment of 600,000 yen which was to cover the cost of the room and any incidentals that you may spend during your stay. on checking out our bill was 450,000 yen and we were told the 600,000 yen would be reversed. Six days later not only is the 600,000 yen on my credit card but also the 450,000 yen. Of course it is very difficult to contact anyone to get the problem resolved. Totally unacceptable and i am sure it will take many more days to sort out. It is disappointing as the reservation staff on our departure had no idea on to reverse the 600,000 yen but said they would fix it.

It’s a great experience overall. The service, the staff and hotel are amazing. We got a room with a 3rd bed since we have 2 children, but the 3rd bed took a lot of space. The pillows could be a bit more fluffy. The room service is excellent. They always made up our room. It always felt nice to rest after walking 10K steps a day.

The staff was amazing. Hotel service was definitely high end. There are 31 different restaurants in the hotel properties and a lot of clothing and jewelry stores in the lower levels - a veritable city beneath the city. We booked the rates with breakfast which was well worth it. All the restaurants had something a little different. Try the garden restaurant first… you will get to see the beautiful garden on site. Location is great close walk to the subway and a lot of eating and drinking areas close by - also a whisky and watch store (Shellman) for the enthusiasts - but there are cabs in front of hotel at all times of the day and night. I can’t say enough about the staff… everyone’s job seemed to be about making our stay perfect - which it was. I highly recommend the Hotel New Otani! We will be back!
4.5
Great hotel for the city explorer that wants to see more than only the shops in Ginza. Excellent water pressure in the shower. I would choose this hotel again just for that reason.
4.5
Check in 3pm not very flexible for request early check in asked about the pool to use not included. We asked to cancel 2 nights out of four only with $300 penality
4.5
Excellent accommodations and staff, which was extremely attentive. Our only "complaint" is that the (Garden) Pool is not convenient to get to (you must walk outside and down the driveway). It dissuades you from using it.
4.5
Very convenient location. A lot of dining options in Akasaka and short walk to Akasaka-Mitsuke train station.

Best hotel in Japan!

We had a wonderful stay. I would like to thank concierge staff member Marina for making our stay special and memorable. Marina went above and beyond for my family. Thank you, Marina!

Great customer service and very helpful staff for travelers first trip to Tokyo. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The level of service here is very high.

The new Otani hotel the main is an excellent property with the impeccable garden area. It was so beautiful and serene. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our kids and I enjoyed the pool and also the comfortable pajamas and slippers waiting for us in our rooms every night. The dining options are amazing but Satsuki was by far the best restaurant!
4.5
The property was extremely clean, very posh, the surrounding area was lovely. The rooms were fantastic and we loved the edo style baths.
HOWEVER room 920 was terrible. The walls were so thin we could hear everything going on around us. Room 920 must have been located below some sort of kitchen or laundry room, every morning around 8 CRASH, BANG, THUD THUD THUD for hours. It was such a shame, if we weren't so busy we would have asked to move.
4.5
We had a very nice time.
4.5
A fantastic property and stay. I recommend joining the new Otani Club. It provides late checkout and access to the pool free of charge which was a welcome relief in 38 degrees.

Very good hotel. Will definitely revisit next time

It's pretty hard to rate this hotel - due to some issues, it was somewhere between 3 and 4 stars.
- We arrived around 2PM, checked in & were advised to return after 3PM which was fine. When we came back over 2 hours later, the front desk gentleman took a long while to locate our checkin record & advised us to carry our stored luggage (& the one previously sent via courier) to our room. It's quite unusual for a 5-star hotel, especially in Japan. Later on we were advised that the luggage would be sent to our room in 10 minutes.
- The aircond in the room was of the central type which didn't give much control & was not sufficient. At 18 degrees, it's still quite hot that we even had to pull the curtains all day long to avoid the heat.
Those 2 issues would result in a 3-star (or lower) rating. However, everything else was top notch which entailed a 4-star rating.
It's a massive hotel in a prime location where everything could be done within the building complex: restaurants, shops, gyms, swimming pools (the pool was closed during our stay), garden with a waterfall, etc. Train stations, shops & restaurants are close by. Airport bus is right at the front.
Our room was bright, quiet & spacious with comfortable beddings. Nice, clean bathroom with good amenities.
We sampled 4 different restaurants in our stay and they were all good, great service & decor.
When checking out, our luggage was carried all the way to the bus. Great service.

Exceptionally responsive and helpful staff throughout my four day stay.

The hotel was wonderful and the staff was great. The rooms are small and don’t have adequate air conditioning. They had to bring in a portable fan to cool the room.
The gardens are beautiful, specially the rose garden.
Tokyo was amazing.

Very gorgeous Hotel! Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel. We really enjoyed our 5 day stay.

This hotel is less convenient, and really required us to take taxi's. This is two hotels in one, basically. There are LOTS of food options in the building, not so much around the location. We liked this place. Would definitely stay there again. Was able to book a triple room, as we had three adults. I was disappointed that the pool was only opened until 4pm. It was quite hot there, over 80 degrees and it was still not open.
4.5
This is one of the most wonderful hotel. The staff is so helpful. They are so kind to go out of their way to help people like us help navigate ourselves in a different country. We have stayed at Otani before and loved how patient and helpful they have been with us during our preparation of our trip as well as during our stay in Tokyo. Domo Arigato Gozaimasu Otani Hotel! Dozu!

I expected more, i have incidentally booked smoking room and everything smelled like cigarettes, the hotel is a but old and shabby although clean
4.5
Otani main was a good choice. King bed room was spacious. Firm bed was great. Amenities were great. Restaurant dinner was slow and just okay. Bathroom was very small. Gym was good but hot and limited treadmills with one of two out of service. Concierge was excellent to our group dinner options.

We stayed for six days at New Otani. The staff was excellent- great hospitality. Room was clean and had all amenities you need. The hotel is walkable from Ginza line. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. Many shops for a quick shopping if you have limited time.
4.5
Vey spacious room and I like the old school type of hotel but updated with modern service. The room has all amenities you need. Definitely value fir money
4.5
If you are going to Tokyo, I HIGHLY recommend staying at this hotel. The staff is exceptional. The rooms are clean. It’s super close to a 7/11 (which will be your favorite place if you are up early as most places are closed). They were more than accomodating and kind.
4.5
The property is amazing the VIP perks could be better
4.5
Beautiful landscaping outside hotel. The rooms are standard yet the bed and shower pressure are good. Very big hotel and catering to weddings. 8/10
4.5
Nice place to stay with the family in rooms on the same floor.
4.5
Overall great stay. Rooms were large enough to accommodate our luggages 2 adults and 1 kid. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only thing to keep in mind is that you do need to taxi or walk further to get to certain conveniences.
4.5
Very clean and nice, but no upgrades even though there were rooms available 😑

We had a lovely stay at the New Otani main. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, the staff was very helpful, friendly and welcoming and treated us like valued guests! The grounds of the hotel were beautiful too- especially the Japanese garden and waterfall.breakfast at the various restaurant spots was nice too as we enjoyed breakfast buffet with a view and a traditional Japanese breakfast one day too! It was convenient to have some dining on site too for dinner options- the Japanese, noodle house were both good and accommodating with our toddler ! The hotel is tucked away from the hustle of Tokyo but walking distance to a station, 711 and another dining area, Starbucks and small market across the street at another hotel, it was also easy to grab cabs here and we took the airport limo to narita. The room itself was spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the edo bath addition too.
Overall a wonderful hotel if you’re looking to stay a little further away from all the busy areas of Tokyo!
4.5
A classy hotel covering a huge area in the middle of Tokyo, to include a fabulous garden complete with a sizable waterfall. (This well maintained garden reputedly is about 400 years old). Two residential towers and plenty of classy shops, plenty of services to include hair cuts, a post office, and more. If you stay there, don't miss Trader Vic's island-themed restaurant.

Everyone was really nice and helpful.
