Our room was spacious and comfortable and we liked the fact that the hotel had dining options. We would definitely stay there again in the future.

We had an amazing stay. The grounds were beautiful and clean. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. Our family had a great time.

Very clean, very good and quiet. I was there on business. The in house restaurant was fine.

Excellent amenities: heated pool, fountain, hammocks, ping pong table, beautiful lighted seating, excellent restaurant for breakfast, close to area parks, farmers market & restaurants. Staff were extremely helpful & friendly. The shower wasnt the best as it had a broken faucet. Overall, great hotel.

Nice place but would definitely like to see more than one set of elevators for such a huge property. We have a stroller with twins and walking all the way across the property multiple times due to parking is very frustrating since the place is built like a maze

The grounds of this hotel are beautiful! Gorgeous cacti, lush bougainvillea, green grass and towering palm trees. The room was nice and clean. The buildings are older and the furniture and doors are outdated. We still loved our stay. We enjoyed the table tennis tables and the staff was friendly. Big minus: The pools are the coldest we’ve EVER experienced in Arizona. Brrrrrrr!

Overall a good resort but much to be desired for price point for your room experience.
Service was good and friendly, only issue was house cleaning not refilling our body was dispenser after multiple requests because she didn't speak English.
Biggest downside which makes me only give 3 stars was the room and price for the room. The rooms are definitely dated and have an odd layout. When you first walk it it really smells its age and reminds me of walking into my grandmother's house. It's not necessary a bad smell but it isn't inviting, just smells of age. One of my biggest complaints is how thin the walls are, don't plan to sleep in past 9 or 10 am. We woke up every morning to housekeeping in other rooms where it sounded like they hit the walls ever couple of seconds. You hear absolutely everything outside your rooms once they start doing their daily service.
What you expect the room to look and feel like just doesn't match the price point of what you are charged. The lobby and rest of the resort is beautiful but your experience really falls short when it comes to the room.
Id stay here again for probably 25% off the rate per night but not at current rates. You could spend the same money elsewhere and have a much more comfortable experience.

Excellent stay overall. Friendly staff

We had paid for a pool view room, and requested a balcony. Upon arival they said there were no rooms as requested and stuck us about 1/2 mile away from the lobby in a room that was facing the bush, and had ants in our room. NOT what we paid for or requested. Excuse was that there was a conference. We had to stay the night in the room that was given to us, and requested to be moved the next day when all the "conference" people left! We were moved to a beautiful room as requested and paid for. We met 2 other couples who were the same scenario as us. Not impressed with the room assigned and if we hadn't spoke up we would have not been granted a room as we had paid for. Not cool... The resort overall was beautiful and clean, food was excellent, ambiance very nice and tropical. Great shuttle service provided and staff working were very nice.

I cant wait to stay again. The hotel had two beautiful pools, gorgeous grounds, and the staff was kind and polite. I also appreciate how quiet the rooms were. My goodness! Each room was so far apart. I was in the back of the resort and therefore, had a quiet, peaceful balcony that looked at the trees. It was lovely. I wish I could have stayed longer and I look forward to returning next year.

I didn’t like that you have an outside entrance to the room and had to walk a far distance in the heat to get to it.

Check-in was good, got settled in the room - nothing major, showing age. Went to pool, needs remodel - missing tiles, mold on plaster, broken loungers/tables, no staff for service and no way to order. Had to go to other bar for anything. Mold in room on bathroom door, shower light coming out of ceiling, bubbling paint - health hazards. Used mini fridge, lost all food and drinks due to them all freezing solid. Housekeeping was rude - when asked for 5 minutes, looked bothered and said would come back - didn't; had to call. Sewer gas in bathroom was bad - luckily we could open door and turn on a/c!
For a 4-diamond hotel, this was a major disappointment. Don't waste your money!

Labor day weekend with family. Hotel is nice, but service at hotel not that great. Don’t know if they need to hire more housekeeping staff or what. I dont ask for much, but toilet paper ran out and there wasnt an extra roll. Had to call 3+ times to ask to get one to room. Room was never cleaned after we arrived, even after we requested it me made up and left room so it could be cleaned. Nope. Didnt happen. Also, since room wasnt cleaned, had to request clean towels, and again, had to call 3+ times and only got 2 clean towels and we were 4 people. Place is nice to have such crappy house keeping. I hope they better this. Also, the broken brick on second pool fountain should be fixed. Looks crappy with cooked pot on top.

Excellent staff all around….and responsiveness to questions and issues was amazing and were resolved quickly and professionally. Probably the most effective front desk staff I’ve encountered in 50 plus years of traveling. This is a really great Doubletree property and well maintained and managed.

This is a resort property and Expedia should not be quoting prices that do not include an additional $40 resort fee added on later. Extremely long lines of guests during stay had to wait to get processed. Even though there were 4 attendants at front desk. Overall impressive when you enter. Rooms are spacious but balcony and terrace doors were locked and unable to open. Room decor was okay but not great. Amenities were average. I was expecting a lot more from a Hilton property. Disappointed. Parking is a long walk down a dirty corridor. Hallways had trash, bottles, spills, not a good impression. The breakfast was supposed to be included as I paid $40 extra. They told me I was supposed to verify at front desk. Why??

Very disappointed with their housekeeping ! Not only they skipped to make a room, but the way they did the room is horrible, worse than a 6 years old kid to make a bed, they just pull the blanket back roughly, half of them hanging out of the bed, pillows were untouched. Bathroom floor un swiped full of hair. Never refill the toilet paper and hand soap that we had to go to the receptionist to ask for it (we were staying there for 7 nights). Even when we reported to the receptionist about the situation, she didn’t seem care too much, we showed her the pictures of the beds, she said it was unacceptable but in one point she said full room cleaning is by requested, maybe it’s called “touch & refresh”. We were having a brief discussion about the cleaning by request issue and we proved that it shows on our paper written “provide room cleaning daily”. At the end she said she will report to the related department, and we ask does she want our proved pictures as the record, and she said yes and give us the email address and ask us to send the pictures and describe the issue, it seems she doesn’t need to do anything. Very disappointing !!

This is our new favorite place to stay when down in Scottsdale. The property is beautiful and the staff is amazing.

We had a lovely stay. Staff was excellent around the property. The front desk staff was laking in offering a welcoming demeanor. They seemed somewhat put out by having to check us in. But the staff around the property; restraunts and pool were very friendly. Beautiful property. Some things were left in disrepair, for example, stair rails and smaller courtyard and gardens. I could overlook that but our room, it was cool and comfortable and decorated nicely but lacked in cleanliness. Our shower had black hair (we are blond) , carpet was stained and had burn holes, we moved a chair to look for our keys and found things you don't want to know about!😬.

Overall good place to stay

The property itself is very dated and long overdue for a full scale renovation. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. They all had 5 star customer service. It was clean, however when it’s that dated it almost doesn’t matter. With full scale renovation, it would be amazing!

This was a unique stay...
The area is nice. The whole hotel could use a good cleaning. It smells like pee on the way to the rooms and in the rooms it smells like cat pee. It is dusty.
The whole rooms could use an updating. New showers and shower heads. The workers are amazing. Very friendly. The pool areas are fun but yes there are alot of people on the weekends! So many families.
Could use new flooring. Get rid of the carpet. It would help the smell.
Overall it was ok but only worth a one time stay for our family.
The parking is horrible!!!

Nice older property. Self parking is tight for large vehicles. Could use some updates, couch in room was not comfortable. Bed was very comfortable.
We enjoyed the pool bar, Matt/Mathew was great!
