Fish tail is in a gorgeous location. On clear days can see all the Annapurna range. Rooms are charming. Food delicious. Massage fantastic. We were able to hire a retired employee as a bird guide for a day and had a wonderful time seeing the only endemic in Nepal. Would be a great honeymoon spot. Oh, yes, the President if Bangladesh and his entourage came for lunch one day!

I had a great respite stay at Fishtail. I had been in modest Airbnb's and wanted to pamper myself for a couple of days. So I went to Fishtail. As soon as you cross the lake on the raft and walk up the garden path to reception, you leave your cares behind. There is a great, well-card for pool, a wonderful spa and best of all wonderful gardens. The rooms have international channels to enjoy and you have your own terrace with chairs and beautiful landscaping. The food was average but the waitstaff were excellent at the restaurant and actually throughout the facility. It was a great stay!

I think this hotel would be good for a family or maybe a couple looking for a romantic getaway. For a solo traveler, new to the area, it wasn't so convenient to go to town, as you have to ride the adorable raft/ferry over and then get dropped at the parking lot across the way...where all the tourist busses are parked and a few taxis. The bed was comfy and the a/c worked, which was great, since it was extremely hot and humid the few days I was there. The hotel has a genenrator, so if the power went, it was back on within a minute or two. The staff was sweet, though the man who helped me with my luggage on the way out, decided to comment on my weight, ASK my weight, after he asked me about my stay and I told him I went paragliding. He was shocked that they took me since he thought I was too heavy. Ummmmm wow! It, unfortunately, kind of soured the experience. I'm going to chalk it up to a cultural thing, but still think it was wildly inappropriate. Nwxt time I come to Pokhara, I will stay at a hotel closer in.

Amazing location to see the mountains. Unfortunately the weather was not as clear as we hoped, but we thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful and well maintained hotel grounds.

Fabulous and very beautiful setting. An excellent base for exploring the area. If I have a criticism, some of the menu was badly over-spiced to the point of being inedible. Portions are a bit too generous in places, as well. However, overall, what a stunning place and lovely, helpful staff.

Room mix up but sorted, wifi abysmal, over priced, not good value but the staff are good..some ok restaurants for Nepal in the area. Overall disappointing ☹️☹️

It's good for the scenery and quiet environmeng but everything else was expensive. Breakfast is not included and the free wifi is only for 1 account per room

Good hotel, really friendly staff, but I don't think it's worth $150/night. I am sure they have great view on clear days, but we weren't that lucky. I guess it's a nice place if you are going to hang out at the hotel, but if you just need a place to sleep I would nor recommend it. Room is nice and clean, but I would say the highest justifiable price is $50.

Fishtail Lodge is the perfect location for a trip to Pokara. The view from the frony of the hotel is breathtaking. The hotel provides kayaks so you can take a trip across the lake which is a great way to spend an afternoon. Rooms are nice hotel grounds are lovely. Only negative point is breakfast is expensive ( not included) and there is not free wifi in the bedrooms. Apart from this, it really is a lovely peaceful place to stay.

Check in took more than half an our as they had confusion on type of room I booked through Expedia. Eventually room was allotted and was taken to room only to find room is not ready. Hence House Keeping Staff was called to prepare the room which again took almost half hour till the time we were made to wait outside the room. In case you look for Smiling and Happy Faces, certainly FishTail Lodge is not the place to stay, staff never smiles and aren't warm. Untrained waiters in Restaurant is something you have to live with. They will not assist you in ordering food, will keep food basket in your plate, wont serve food in your plates. You will keep looking for them for service and reordering, so please don't mind your food getting cold while you look for waiters. Food taste isn't great but very expensive. Dinning here may be perfect recipe for spoiling your dinner or lunch. Better option can be... take a stroll and you will find plenty of places who serve better food and at 1/4th of price. And at last, please carry your own umbrella, don't expect hotel staff to offer umbrella if it rains rather have trust on your feet and run. Don't expect evening/ turn around service. Room dining plates wont get cleared after waiting for half an hour so putting them out of room may be better idea. Bellboy will not show up at check out time. At the time of booking never thought will have this kind of experience for bomb kind of money (compared to most of the places in Pokhara) I spent.

We stayed at the palm tree side and saw a big spider inside the room. We called the front desk and they sent someone to take care of it immediately. We requested to change to the cottage room which we found it more comfortable and they were able to change the booking for us - probably because it wasn't peak season during our stay there. Overall we are very satisfied with the stay and the spa there was awesome too!

This is the second time we visit Fish Tail lodge and we hope to come back again. This is a truly charming hotel with the rooms set in a beautifully maintained garden. The swimming pool area is very much enjoyable too and the restaurant is excellent. The service makes you feel at home.

Very helpful service, good restaurant, fantastic setting, unbeatable views. You can almost forget -- but not quite -- that you are in the third world.

The hotel locates in a great place that we enjoyed both views of lake and snow mountains. Service is barely alright. However, the hardware condition is so poor that far below the price. The towel and bed set is not clean and little bit humid actually. Bathroom is very small.......
