This could have been a much better experience - all our negatives are easily fixable things except for the noise. Pros: great location - all the things you’d want and need are nearby, clean rooms, heated bathroom floors, good breakfast. Cons: while the location is good for getting around, it was next to a bar that would get quite noisy around 2:00am and last a while on Fri and Sat nights; and while the bed was comfy, the pillows provided made for tough sleeping- one was tiny and flat and one was sooo big; bedside tables were ottomans which is just weird as things tend to fall off; as for the breakfast, they did offer a nice variety however, the items that should’ve been warm, such as eggs were often quite cold. ; no counter space in the bathroom despite having plenty of room to accommodate that; toilet was so high my feet dangled when sitting. The problem may have been we were put in an accessible room, though we didn’t need it. Based on this experience, we would not stay here again.

Location and staff are great. Very expansive breakfast. Lovely view of the harbor but at night was quite loud from drunken visitors until about 0330 Saturday and 0030 Sunday-Monday

Even though we just stayed for one night, everything was great! The room was very comfortable and clean. Bed and the bathroom were amazing! The breakfast is one of the best I’ve ever had, it was absolutely outstanding and delicious!!

Our first room was terrible. The bathroom hasn't been fully cleaned and it was directly off the elevator so starting at 5:30 am all you would hear was the elevator going up and down. The bathroom was a tiny closet and this was supposed to be a superior room. The staff was accommodating and changed the room the next day and the next room was better. However, the walls are this hotel are so thin you can hear every conversation in every room. For the price there seemed to be nicer places, or this place should charge less. Lots of people say the breakfast is good, one day it was and one there was almost nothing out. I suspect it's better if there's a tour group there.

We stayed in the business room. The rooms are very unique (in a good way). Bed is comfortable. Room is spacious although you have to watch your head in some areas if you are tall. The shower is extremely small though. The rest of the bathroom is fine. The location is amazing - right where you want to be in Bergen. Room was quiet - didn't hear any noise at night. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very good. We put our "do not disturb" sign on our door and when we came back to our room there was a bag hanging on our door with extra towels and toiletries in lieu of a cleaning. I have never seen this in another hotel. This was very much appreciated and a great initiative to ensure those that don't want a cleaning, still get what they need. Thanks for a great stay in a gorgeous city!

Lovely hotel very close to the harbour in Bergen so easy to get round. Spacious room, bath with shower over which was a little tricky for my mother but all clean. Faucet was loose in bathroom but still worked. Very good breakfast. Quiet in spite of being a busy hotel.

If i could give 6 stars i would. Best location for touring Bryggen. The room was big and clean with quality bathroom amenities. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding.

The room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was spotless. Great shower water pressure. I always appreciate a luggage rack so was happy to see one in the room, plus space to hang wet jackets and rain pants. The desk lamp light bulb wasn’t working but they fixed it very quickly. The best was the breakfast buffet and the light dinner. As a vegetarian lots of good breakfast items. The first night the chef had gone home so no one could tell me if the soup had a meat broth or not but the next day they made sure to confirm it was vegetarian. Very attentive staff and very friendly. I used the gym/trimrom for about an hour, couldn’t connect to the tv for apple fitness but was fine to do it on my iPad. No complaints. Good weights. And very clean. And they had water and towels in the gym area. Overall, had a great stay!

It is a good hotel in a great neighborhood. I like the Oslo's Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz better. The one in Oslo is more organized and staff are friendlier.

Very modern. All rooms look brand new. Excellent location. Excellent free breakfast buffet. Very noisy if you have room like we did that faces Rosenkrantz street. Even with windows closed, peoples’ voices echoed loudly.

We stayed for 3 nights in August. Room was for 3 people. Beds were very comfortable, including extra bed they brought in for our teen daughter. Room had two large windows and a sitting area which was great after a long day of sight seeing, as well as in room coffee, tea and toiletries. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing! Wide range of foods and everything was delicious. Had free espresso, cappucinos, lattes etc in lounge. Lobby was a nice place to sit as was lounge. Steps away from Bryggen but quiet even with windows open. Lots of good restaurants nearby and close to funicular. Only negative was there were many large tour groups. We would have a coffee in lobby or lounge until they moved out of breakfast area.
