Executive level room and lounge were perfect. Small gym. In the lobby and on some floors people smoke, so the smell in the hotel is not so great.. But I guess it's typical for Egypt... Nice location by the Nile, yet not possible to walk directly along the river.

Close to the old Egyptian Museum but hard to get by foot. The nearness was one big reason we chose this hotel. Crossing street is very exciting because there are no zebra crossings and cars drive fast. There is also nothing else interesting near. You need to take car just to avoid those crossings. The hotel itself is good everyway, would give 5 stars, but next time I would choose another hotel so it was easier walk around.

The city view was really bad, so we didn’t go on the balcony.

Hotel is very dated and crowded. Checking in and out takes forever and the process is paper based. Not the fault of the clerks. Room was straight out of a 1980 film and the bathroom was damaged in so many levels

This is a safe hotel.
Very average overall. I was expecting a five star but just in reality it was just an average 3 international star.
Over price Resturant with average food.
Shower did not work properly. Fridge was not working.

I really enjoyed staying at the Hilton and I thought it was comparable to a stay at an American Hilton. I saw previous reviews that said it was difficult to cross the street, but that is a reality of Egypt (its simply a different way of crossing the road). I felt safe, the entrance has a metal detector and security. The hotel staff were polite and my room was cleaned everyday.

I loved the Nile view room - looking out on the Nile each morning, going out onto the little balcony. The experienced staff were great, but the interns could have used more mentoring. It’s downtown, so an easy Uber just about anywhere. Walking is a bit more difficult due to traffic - it’s very hard to get to the corniche directly from the hotel, but it’s possible to have a nice walk across the bridge over the Nile to Zamalek, and a walk along the corniche there - and visit Cairo Tower. It’s also a pretty easy walk to the old Egyptian Museum.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Downtown. Good option if you are visiting for business as the rooms are quiet, large and comfortable.
It is easy as well to move around the city if you are staying there and the staff at the hotel are very welcoming and friendly.

We were upgraded to a Nile River view, hotel is a little dated but all in all a nice hotel. The cocktail lounge on the top floor has amazing views.

Reception staff at check in was very poor they took passport and took copy and then just kept walking away talking to other other doing other stuff and left us for more than half an hour when we got to our room the bathroom was dirty everything falling apart. No mini bar in room with this service I am not happy after I paid more to stay here as meant to be nice and am very disappointed with this I have the pictures of how dirty the bathroom and unhygienic the room was

Updating to room and bath are needed. Hair dryers must be requested; however there was no outlet in the bathroom for the dryer. At check in I was given a discount for breakfast but the clerk failed to put it in the computer. I was hounded throughout my breakfast to pay for it. I had to go back down to reception to advise them of this issue. There was no apology or willingness to compensate for the shame it caused me.

Stayed here a year ago and it was an amazing experience. Returned back expecting the same, was a terrible experience. Old rooms, in desperate need of repairs. Bathrooms, the furniture, everything is in dire condition. Stayed on the 10th floor first, the room was UNLIVABLE, to which the reception gave us another room on the 9th floor, which was almost the same. Not impressed at all. This will be out last stay here, and hopefully the hotel will keep this notes into consideration and works on improvement. Good luck.

Most likely the worst Hilton property in all Hiltons world wide. The Hotel has few if any amenities available, no spa, gym, pool, the restaurants have partial menus, you will not be able to connect to basic internet services. The hotel is filthy and dirty like you might imagine a 1 star or no star hotel. What an utter disappointment. They do not recognize Hilton Honors Gold members, they charge $15 USD for a breakfast worth $3, the entire hotel needs cleaning, they should not get more than $20 USD a night in its condition with its staff and missing any of the services that make a multi star hotel. Horrific experience, highly recommend skipping Cairo Hilton and head for Nile Towers or Sofitel.

My impression the building is old the rooms are old same with furniture. Staff is friendly, the area is a messed but that is life there everyone is busy. Too much smoking cigarettes every where. Always better too pay more to stay in a good hotel

NICE LOCATION ON THE NILE RIVER, 8 Minute Walk to the MUSEUM and not too far from the PYRAMIDS.
The staff was very friendly and 24HR GOVT BANK OF EGYPT was inside the hotel. Also It is very safe to book a Taxi from the hotel to the Airport at their counter.

My recent visit to Ramses Hotel in Egypt was quite a letdown, to be honest. When I walked into the lobby, I was immediately struck by how small and plain it looked – not at all what I expected. The biggest issue for me was the bathroom. It just didn’t cater to the needs of an Arab guest like me, especially with no water for cleaning – a basic necessity. Plus, the whole hotel was a construction zone with renovations going on, which meant there was constant noise disrupting my peace. And don’t get me started on the elevator! Every ride felt like a scene from a thriller, where it seemed like it could just stop working any second. Showering was another ordeal, with the ancient fixtures and poor water drainage. I’m a big fan of Egypt and its rich culture, but staying at Ramses Hotel was definitely the low point of my trip

Very close to Egypt Museum which is one of major tourist attractions in Cairo. Restaurants are within walking distance. Nice view as the hotel is by the river.

A comfortable hotel with excellent service. The location seems perfect as it's by the Nile and near the museum of Egypt. However the hotel is surrounded by a network of dual carriageways which are almost impossible to cross unless you are a confident local.

This is a very old property that badly needs some renovation work. The air conditioner was barely working and we found it uncomfortable even though our stay was in Jan. Beware if you book this property in summer. Super slowww check in and check out process, they seem to be severely understaffed and you may end up waiting long if you happen to be when a tourist bus is there. The bellboys, security and other staff near reception are more keen in getting some tips than anything else. Do not book unless thee are no other options with rooms available. The only good thing is the location is good near Cairo museum and with easy access to old Cairo.

The staff took very good care of us, the room clean and completely functional. We had everything we needed for a goods night sleep. We were warned about eating food at local restaurants, so ate most of our meals at the hotel and did not get sick. The portions were very generous.
The only reason I did not give this property 5 stars is it sits on the corner of a very busy intersection, so crossing the street to walk the two blocks to the museum is like playing "frogger". I recommend, crossing with a group of locals until you get a hang of it. There are no street lights, or pedestrian crossings in Cairo and it's especially bad around this hotel. But once you get across this street, the neighborhood is easy to navigate and felt safe; after my heart stopped pounding from the crossing.

Property is in the heart of downtown but crossing the street is a challenge. Staff at this hotel is very welcoming, friendly, polite and will go out to serve you. I really enjoyed the hospitality.

Nice hotel but nearly impossible to cross any street
