It was a hotel with a really great view of Osaka Castle.
The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were really friendly.
I think this trip to Osaka will be a great memory.
2.5
Excellent hotel with amazingly helpful staff. Very spacious rooms with all the amenities you need. The staff from checkin, bell and housekeeping was excellent in their customer service. The staff in the frontline all spoke perfect English. Everyone was so helpful and truly took pride in their hotel and job. The hotel itself is beautiful and the service is exceptional. Great location to transportation and restaurants.
2.5
Stunning hotel with a decent amount of room and nice amenities. Black out curtains and the pyjamas were a great touch!
Bathroom was a bit dated but I didn’t mind, it was a lovely stay.
2.5
Very nice hotel with a great view of Osaka Castle. Staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful.

Very courteous staff, clean rooms and great facilities in the hotel. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, coffeshops, subway stations and more. Highly recommended hotel. Every time I come to Osaka, I will come here.
2.5
Spacious room , clean with excellent WiFi reception throughout hotel vicinity.
Close to transportation , Osaka castle within walking distance. Very fair pricing , breakfast included with slight additional charge.

Only attended the hotel because first hotel we booked into was under flight path. Booked here for one night and re-booked three times to stay for a combined period of 8 nights. Great hotel, great staff and great
Location for nearby Osaka park and multiple train and subway lines

This is hotel is a very large American style 5* hotel which is extremely dated. The hotel is near the concert hall and Osaka Castle but is a long way from the centre of Osaka. We were given a smoking room when we asked to change we were charged to change rooms.
We spent very little time in hotel due to its location when we left early morning we stayed out all day which isn’t ideal a centrally located hotel would be much better.
The staff were polite but didn’t care much for tourists.

I guess property tried to potray heritage and legacy of Otani as a brand, however the quality of mattress, food and prices are not matching to the 5 star standards. Least expectstions from the guests is to be served with drinking water as per their requirement at the room. One 500ml water per person per day and any requests for water is demanded for additional cost of 350 Yen for 500ml water bottle.

Nice stay overlooking the castle. Handy to everything. Not quite as luxe feeling as the New Otani Tokyo but served us well for a hot couple of days.

Good location for relaxing

Excellent rooms, spacious and comfortable. And extremely helpful and caring staff. The location is very close to a train station, park and Starbucks. About 20 min to dontonbori.

Very elegant hotel. They have an excellent service.

Amazing place. And very good location. Facilities are top class.

The hotel was excellent. They have a system that you have to do your own bed, which was weird. But in general, was clean and the location superb.

We were in Osaka for a 4 day visit. Hotel New Otani is close to two train stations and the Osaka castle, so getting to spots such as Nara and Dotonbori (the popular tourist area) was pretty easy. But because it’s not right in the heart of the city, it was much quieter. The hotel itself has large rooms and a great breakfast. On our last day in Osaka, we walked to the Osaka castle for a tour, which was right out of the TV series Shogun.

The only item that I am complaining is that the hotel cleaning maid never made up the beds during my 4 days stay.

Great view of the castle from our riom. Lots of space in the room.
Very dated.
In the business area. Very disappointed that the gym wasn’t free and was totally overpriced to use.
Not much around but close to 2 subways.
2.5
Customer service was excellent and our room was clean.

I stayed at this hotel for Osaka castle view and Osaka Jo Hall. The view was nice and it took only a couple of minutes to get to Osaka Jo Hall so I could be well-rested after the show. The room was a bit outdated but very clean and spacious compared with other hotels in Japan. The staffs were very kind and helpful. I would like to visit again.

Really clean and 5 stars service from the staff. 5min walk from the closest train station, really convenient.

Pool access for children is poor.

The beds and pillows were not very comfortable for my family. Beautiful hotel with excellent service though!

Have a great view of Osaka Castle and park. It's quiet from the busy Osaka area. Enjoy morning jog and evening walk.

Very comfortable stay at a hotel steps from Osaka Castle and on the canal. The staff were accommodating and friendly, excellent buffet breakfast with Japanese and Western options. My only grumble is hotel list that it has 2 pools - on outdoor one indoor - as an amenity. But they charge guests $20 and up a day to use the pool
1.0
Hotel advertised as 5 stars but had the amenities of a 2, old building and terrible food, the price of everything is extremely marked up. Every basic amenity costs money or has some extreme mark up
Ie the advertised pool cost extra money to use each time, they supposedly had a shuttle to universal that was delayed... Delayed again and finally they admitted wasn't coming, so left us late/having to get a taxi.
The breakfast is extremely poor and very overpriced, we prepaid and couldn't eat it again but they fought us on a refund for the remaining days and we had to go to the bank eventually.
I would avoid at all cost.

Extremely beautiful very elgant property. Staff were extremely accommodating and multilingual. Excellent service all around.

Hotel staffs are always ready to help.

This hotel is a 5 star hotel, i travel the world and never been in a 5 star hotel with a very old bathroom and old installations.
The lack of english is a CERO star, front desk told me the use of pool was ¥3850 per room, and my husband and son used the pool and they paid us$100.00 for both of them!! Isn't it crazy?
Also, I used the hair salon (I have coarse hair) and I went yesterday I asked them if they knew how to do it and again (we lose information using translators, let me call it like that) and they couldn't even straight my hair it looked so bad that i came to my room and get under the shower.
My husband went for breakfast this morning, and it was included in the room and they were charging him for breakfast, hope by the time we leave the hotel we dont have any problem checking out!
The hotel the lobby is beautiful, but thats it! Not coming back again to this hotel

The hotel rooms are old and need renovation.
We were treated poorly by the staff in charge of the pool, when they informed us that we had to pay USD $50 each to use it, despite being guest at the hotel.
We were not at all rude to them and felt offended.
The restaurant host also was rude when we asked for the breakfast buffet price.
Beside that front desk and bell boy were extremely nice and helpful.
Will definitely not stay there again.

It is right next to Osaka-jo, and near a JR station and a metro station, with a Lawson nearby. Everything becomes handy. Got a nice view facing Osaka-jo

The hotel is in immaculate condition. The rooms are large and well furnished. It’s a short walk to two of the nearest stations to explore Osaka. The hotel is situated on the boundary of the Osaka Castle Park. There are plenty of dining options and breakfast is Japanese or Western style with full buffet options. It is ideal for exploring Osaka and we had a very comfortable stay. A particularly nice touch was the his and hers cotton pyjamas. There is a fantastic Sky Bar for drinks, offering wonderful views of the castle and surrounding area. It is situated in a quiet area of town.
