We were supposed to get breakfast with our package. The hotel cancellef breakfast. Breskfast people never showed up. Elevator was in disarray. Room tv did not work. Room had stains all over the rug. I have been using hotels.com for many years. We want your organization to get a refund from this hotel.

The front desk was extremely pleasant when we checked in very late. They were very helpful in changing our stay to only one night due to our schedule changing

I don't usually give reviews, especially negative ones. I've been staying there for business approximately once every 3 weeks. There's always an issue. For the last few months it's been regular coffee in the rooms. The coffee they used to serve downstairs it was free was actually worse than what was in the room. Now you have to go down and buy Starbucks if you want regular coffee. Otherwise you have to deal with bad decaf in your room. Not sure why they can't buy regular coffee packets for the room for those of us that don't want to go downstairs in the morning to get their coffee.

Bed was comfy. No hot water, but that could have been due to the renovation being done. Bistro had good coffee and loaded tots for breakfast.

Pool was full with green water.
Bed mattress was terrible hard not comfortable.
Pillows were terrible.
No hot water for shower.

The photos of the hotel are completely inaccurate. The hotel was in poor shape and construction was going on. None of this was disclosed properly on the website. The hotel restaurant was only open limited for breakfast. The bar was closed. The area is not near any other amenities so we had to drive to eat.

We booked a double bed room. We got there and was given a king room with a sleeper sofa. After traveling for 13 hours we were looking forward to having a bed for each of us. We were told they were sold out of double bed rooms. Not other options. Just disappointed and exhausted!

Unfriendly person checked me in. Tried to check into 3 different rooms but tv didn’t work in any of those rooms. Had to return to front desk each time. She never apologized or showed any empathy. Finally they sent a friendly maintenance guy and he showed me how to turn on tv manually. Apparently, the remotes are not synched with the tv’s so you have to manually turn on tv, then you can use remote. Fire alarm went off at 7am, and again an hour or two later. No hot water in shower. My last two stays at Marriott’s have been awful. The chain has really gone downhill. And I’ve been a loyal Marriott member for over 20 years.

They were in process of remodeling. Big stains on carpets in the room. Pool and courtyard were dirty and unusable. It was a big disappointment for the price. Very unkept. Lobby was clean. Staff was friendly and apologetic. Elevators were boarded with cardboard. The location was close to downtown and the airport. But it has definitely seen better days.

The property is I the midst of renovation. I've stayed there I. the past and have really enjoyed the stay. Once the renovations are complete and the shuttle service returns, hopefully it will return to it's once excellent state.

This hotel seems like it was once nice but they haven’t been keeping it up. Carpets were kind of gross and the dispenser for shampoo, conditioner etc had broken off the wall and was propped in the corner and not filled. The gym was in poor condition and not clean. The pool was closed and the ice machine didn’t work. They are renovating the upper flors so maybe it will improve.

My experience was not great at all. It was not up to Marrriot standards.
4.0 / 10.0
The room was very disappointing. The rugs were worn and need to be replaced a long time ago. The furniture looks old. The bed was lumpy and sunken in the middle. I wouldn’t stay there again.

This property is being renovated. This was not communicated by expedia site. I chose this hotel fir a one night stay befor a famile cruise primarily because of the airport shuttle. Come to find out, no shuttle due to renovations. Additionally, pool was closed, gym was closed, only dryer available to guests was broken, mold in bathrooms and torn curtains in guest rooms. A complete fail.

This hotel is old and tired. When we checked in, the sink didn't drain; we had to pull the drain plug to get the shower to drain. 3 of the ice machines weren't working (only 4 in the building). old, stale tired decor. Even though there were air fresheners in the hallways, the room smelled like smokers had used it.

This property is in serious need of a full rehab / refurb. Carpets are worn & torn? Walls nicked and scuffed. Bathroom from 1960’s. Very surprised Marriott hasn’t pulled the name.

I checked in on Sunday July 14 2024. There was just a bad storm internet was down they couldn't issue keys etc (I'm not upset about that its life things happen) i booked through Expedia pay at hotel however Expedia has my debt card on file.
I gave the clerk my credit card she made a copy which i was a little uncomfortable needless to say both cards were charged and the supposed GM was very unprofessional about the whole situation

The staff was amazing! They had to deal with big issues way beyond their control and made sure we were taken care of to the best of their ability.

This hotel has all the potential to be excellent. The location is convenient, the staff friendly and efficient, but the whole place has a vibe of not really being well- maintained. Our room smelled strongly of mustiness that was attempting to be covered by strong air freshener. The bathroom was cleanish, but the shower controls were a little busted and janky. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee to put in it, only tea bags. The carpet was peeling up in the elevator. Overall, it just felt like the place needed a little love from the owners to be as nice as the lovely staff they had working at the desk.

Old hotel with old song equipment (ac units, door card scanners, etc,). Property has not been maintained well

The staff checking in us was so so lovely. One of the gals was obviously training or new, and the other was well versed in the check in process and kindly helped the other one get us all squared away. Otherwise, it wasn't much better than a roadside motel. The carpet was absolutely yuck. Stains EVERYWHERE in the room. I didn't take my shoes of until I was in the bed. The shower had moldy corners. The water pressure was bad. There was hair on the bathroom floor upon our arrival. The bed was loud and squeaky, waking me up anytime one of us shifted in the night (I'm not a light sleeper). The air-condition unit blew air that smelled like wet dog. The bistro was supposed to open at 6:30a but it wasn't so we couldn't get breakfast or decent coffee before we left at 8:30am. This is hands down the worst Marriot property I have ever stayed at. We were only there for 10 hours so not much point in having the hotel fix all of this upon our arrival but I will definitely be skipping this spot if we find ourselves back in the area. I would include pics but hotel.com is rejecting them because they look so gross, AI kicks hem back as inappropriate.

The staff checking in us was so so lovely. One of the gals was obviously training or new, and the other was well versed in the check in process and kindly helped the other one get us all squared away. They gave tips on where to go in the area for drinks & food. We were only there for one night before meeting up with our group in downtown Charleston. Smells really good soon as you walk into the lobby. Staff was nice and friendly but she was by herself and was overworked. The air didn’t work properly so it wouldn’t stay cold in the room . The floor had stains on it and the toilet kept getting stopped up and wouldn’t flush. The location was great and everything else was clean.

It seems the property is a transitional phase. I've stayed there many times previously and the experience had been much much better. Hopefully after the transition, service will return to it's previous level.

Very average for a Marriott property. No breakfast served. The coffee someone made tasted like dishwater. No compensation for the lack of breakfast. Disappointing.

This hotel should be torn down!! Old and filthy!! The Employees are 5 Star!! They deserve raises and a clean environment to work in.
2.0 / 10.0
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The hotel was dirty, and in bad disrepair. Items throughout the room and common areas were damaged. The room itself was clean enough, but the hallways and lobby were very dirty. Ice machine on first and second floors were out of order. Furniture was old bad badly damaged, door handle to balcony was damaged, outlets in room didn’t work, lights in wall fixture were out, poor lighting in bathroom.

Outdated. Air conditioning was broken. Washrooms very old.

Bed was comfortable. They couldn’t get the key card machine to work, so we didn’t have a key to our room. Stains all over the floor in our room, tub didn’t drain, no hand soap in the room.
