Our hotel room was fine. On the first morning we put the Do Not Disturb sign out but they came in our room anyways. They had a group of high school kids come in that were a bit noisy. But on the last day we packed up and then went to get breakfast. We hadn't checked out yet and had the Do Not Disturb sign up. The cleaners came in anyways, cocked the door open, and removed the bedding and towels to clean. They didn't remove all the towels only the ones used. When we cam back and our door was opened we were shocked. We were more shocked when we saw the blood stains and all on the mattress pad where we had been sleeping. It pretty much made us sick.

Not a great neighborhood, lobby is very nice, personnel helpful. No coffee or breakfast served. Room was spartan, bathroom was deplorable. Nice towels. Quiet. Easy walking to good restaurant. No fresh air, windows sealed. No outdoor access.

Originally planned to stay at a different hotel but found this gem while walking around the Riverwalk area. Not directly on Riverwalk but there is an entrance to the Riverwalk right across the street from the hotel. We had a room with a pool view. The pool is small but well kept. There was a lot of seating options around the pool that were very comfortable and all in great shape. The turf type grass in the pool area was great. The hotel bar/restaurant was fantastic! Did not get the young lady’s name working there but she was so sweet and outgoing and was on top of everything. We went for a few drinks and even though the place had quite a few guests in there, we never had to wait to get our drinks refreshed. She was amazing!! Room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of towels. Water pressure for shower was great. Price was very good for the area we were in. The hotel has its own parking garage attached to it but you can’t use it unless you’re valet parking. There was a public parking lot about a block away that was cheaper and worked great for us. We were there for State Marching Competition at the Alamodome and it was about a 5-7 minute drive from the hotel to the Alamodome. I would definitely stay at the River Plaza Hotel again and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Excellent location, restaurant and a coffee shop on premises, comfortable bed, no city noise, pool, unique decor. There were drinks for purchase in the room including 2 small bottles of proseco in the fridge. We parked in the 5 min walk city parking for $10 a day. I recommend this hotel and would come back.

This is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in! The staff are incredible! Friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. The rooms are clean and the bed was super comfortable. The valet parking was much appreciated. When I discovered I had left something in the care the valet went back to get it for me. Excellent hotel with great service!!!

The hotel was outdated. The room smelled and bathroom was dirty. We got an early wake up call that we did not request. I asked for towels to be sent up that morning and they told me to come and get them.

The "river" view was hideous! The bed, was the absolute worse hotel bed we've ever slept on. Don't let "plaza" fool you into thinking it was a swanky place. Customer service was fantastic, but get a much better mattress!!

Staff were pleasant and beds were comfy. We asked for a towel change which didn’t happen so we were unable to wash on our second night. I chased with reception, they instructed me to leave old towels outside the room but these were still not changed. We specifically chose this hotel for the outdoor heated pool. My kids had to swim in freezing water as apparently the pool heater was broken (as was the elevator when we arrived)…..really disappointing. Did we have bad luck timing or has it actually been down a while?

The hotel room we were put in had 2 queen size beds and one was completely worn to wear, literally reignited back problems that I have not had in a while, the mattress was thin and felt like sleeping on the frame itself. Room was not refreshed after 3 days of staying there and had to make multiple requests to get towels sent up

NIce hotel close to Riverwalk. Did not make up my room on first day … overcharged parking and for minibar I did not use, but they were quick to correct their mistakes. Valet parking is $37 per day, but it seems to be going rate in the area. Overall - nice hotel reasonably priced.

Sadly, my stay at your place was very disappointing. Great staff, everyone very friendly. However, my blinds didn’t work, needed for privacy (the whole wall is glass)and my sheets were not clean. In the morning I spoke with a lady at the front desk, explained the reason the sheets were on the floor and requested new ones, I also had the sign at my door to make my room, after coming back to the hotel from a long day at SeaWorld, my blind was still not completely fixed, and my room was never cleaned. When I called the lobby, the lady who answered said that the only solution she had was to send me new sheets. This is the first time I go back to a hotel room and not have at least the trash taken and the bed made. On top of all some guys were yelling at 3am in their rooms with their door open, not letting us sleep, I will never stay there again

NO FREE PARKING. NO BREAKFAST included. The TV did not work. They did not help with the luggage trolley. The crew of the river was not even remotely similar to the one in their pics. Would give 0 stars but that is not possible. For sure not staying with them.

It was nice except for not being able to charge the dining/ bar to your room, being that the restaurant and bar are connected to the hotel I think you should have the option to charge services to your room.

Front desk staff was rude, they charged us 150 for 3 towels that had been used when a soda exploded. There was not hot water in our first room and the blinds had some sort of gross dirt on them when we rolled them down.Blankets were horrible shower leaked

Photos do not look like hotel, the staff was very nice. Hoyel was alittle outdated. Parking was around the corner in lot none on property that you must pay for.

The stay was ok one problem was. I called the front desk to alert them the tv remote did not work . They told me maintenance would come and fix it it took 4 calls over a 4 hour period before the issue was addressed. Also i feel $40 a night to park was excessive

Good location. You can just walk out of hotel to get to riverwalk. You need to walk less than half mile to arrive restaurants zone. Alamo is within a mile walk. Building was a bit old but well maintained and room has been cleanly remodeled. Staffs were nice, valet was very smooth. I will definitely come back.

Bed very uncomfortable. Window was easy to open, making it unsafe for kids. 5 stories up. I checked in early and paid the early check in. If room is available people shouldn’t have to pay.

My friends and I went to San Antonio to celebrate an event and they recommended the river walk hotel and it was amazing. For sure next time we go to San Antonio we will stay in the same hotel .

I booked the hotel based off the photos I saw online. Once I actually got there it was completely different. The hotel looked like an old apartment complex with basic renovations to make it a hotel. The pool was right outside the window, so if anyone was out there you can hear everything, the bed rolled, it looked old. I even got up and left my second day back to go to another hotel. I’ve tried to get in contact with the hotel but have yet to hear back from them 4 days later.

Very good. The maintenance guy was prompt, professional and friendly. We had a very nice stay and will return here next time we are in San Antonio.
