My family had a great stay at Residence Inn by Marriott, it’s located in a quiet street and close to Dupont Circle Metro Station (just 5-6 minutes walk). It’s close to downtown DC (3 stations to The Triangle Federal Station), The White House, Capital Building, and Ronald Reagan Airport (6 miles). Staffs are very friendly, they greeted us with a smile when we showed up for breakfast. Breakfast was changed every day. I highly recommend this hotel when you are in DC.

Quiet neighborhood with plenty of local dining options. Access to Metro Rail was great and made getting to our daily destinations easy. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area.
4.4
The property was under renovations but all areas are clean and safe. The renovations did not interrupt our stay. We would definitely stay again.

Clean rooms, great breakfast

So, the staff made our stay amazing! From the front desk clerk, Ronita, to the maintenance engineer, to the associates at breakfast. They were so incredibly friendly. It was easy to overlook the renovations taking place because the staff took care of any need or concern. They were amazing in the middle of a renovation and I'm sure they will be even more outstanding after.
Then there's the breakfast buffet. Incredible. Amazing selection for a variety of dietary needs.

It was nice.
4.4
Poorly kept property, bathtub faucet was broken, the sink was old and the ac was super noisy, like a bus on our room departing peridically during the night.
4.4
WiFi is not so good.

My wife and I stayed here for about 12 nights while in the area. I rate our stay as pleasing because of the location, relative value for money vs other options in the area, but mostly because of the exceptionally helpful and nice staff. It felt like all of the front desk and particularly the restaurant/breakfast kitchen staff truly enjoyed their jobs and working together in a team. Kitchen staff brought out freshly made biscuits or muffins and went around offering them to you at your table. Really nice touch.
The room was a bit worn but everything was functional. The service was good with supplies and towels being replenished as needed even though sometimes we had to call for them to come. However, it was obvious that they are not doing a deep clean of the rooms, hardly ever. The carpet felt sticky with years of grime, it was that bad.
Overall, I recommend this Residence Inn. The staff are really exceptional and if you appreciate getting friendly assistance then this would be a good stay for you.

Very close to Dupont metro that we used every day. We walked to Georgetown and Lincoln memorial. Great service, good breakfast

Nice place, good location, and staff. But they need to offer better price/options for parking and have more food for breakfast, if you can’t have breakfast early morning you want to find all the options available…

There was a broken light on the headboard when we got into the room, and I hit my head on it twice because, well, it’s on the headboard. The room was not clean and had a smell, the light fixture in the bathroom didn’t work, and the remote control didn’t work. A disappointing experience for the money I paid.

Loved our stay, rooms were great, breakfast was amazing!

Room should have been serviced every 2nd day during my stay. Room was not serviced until the 4th day.
4.4
Rooms need updating badly. Kitchen floor dirty and carpeting falling apart literally by the seams. Very friendly and helpful staff.
4.4
The location of this hotel is wonderful, but the interior truly needs to be remodeled. The carpet in my room was very old with worn spots, the bed not very comfortable with old pillow that were not firm. In the bathtub the drain stopper was broke. My biggest concern was that the air conditioner was so noisy and loud that it actually kept me up at night, not being able to enjoy my rest. Also to get ice for the room you had to take a bucket down to the lobby frontdesk to be filled. I will probably not stay at this property again.
4.4
Great setup for replicating a home environment while on the road. Especially useful for longer work stays.
The layout of the elevators makes getting to the garage somewhat of a nuisance, especially when the one elevator that goes to the garage has issues (which happened multiple times during my stay).
4.4
Walking distance and safe place

In summary, I’d try a different option next time and would not rely on a sofa bed at this place.
Location is great, with plenty of nearby dining and shopping opportunities (including an excellent bookstore). The room was large.
We had a suite advertised as sleeping 4 with a queen in a bedroom and a sofa “bed” in the main area. I gave my daughter the queen and took the sofa. This was literally the worst sofabed I’ve ever slept on (and unfortunately I’ve slept on quite a few). Right as we got to our room after we checked in, the desk clerk brought an armful of linens and pillows and I had to make the bed myself. There was no mattress pad (I asked for one because the mattress was kinda stained and gross-looking, but they had none). The springs were so shot that my back went straight to the support bar; I ended up putting the couch cushions on the floor and the mattress on top of that (which was surprisingly comfortable, if a bit inconvenient).
We stayed 4 nights and never had housekeeping service (there seemed to be only a lone, overworked housekeeper, at least for our floor. She was very nice when I asked for more shampoo. We didn’t really need housekeeping, but it was a bit surprising to never get it.
The refrigerator was loud. Not like, “oh, that’s a bit loud” loud; it was so loud we had to raise our voices to be heard when it kicked on.
Breakfast was okay. A little more than continental, but short of bacon and scrambled eggs.
4.4
The room was a bit run down and the bed sagged in the middle. However, it was useful to have a kitchen and was close to a lot of cool spots.
4.4
Great location. Beautiful newly renovated suite.

I was there to be near my brother and his family (also at the hotel) for a very difficult and challenging time. The staff was aware of our situation and my sweet little nephew at Childrens National. To say the staff showed care, concern, and empathy is an understatement. The way they treated my brother and his wife will forever be remembered in the most positive way.
Whether you are there for fun or hard times, I can assure you the staff is there to serve you with true servant hearts. I imagine they care about every single guest and want to make the stay as wonderful as it can be regardless of your circumstances.
They are also very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and can assist you with directions and suggestions very easily.
If I ever go back with my own husband and children, I can easily say I would pick this hotel. I felt safe (small town Idaho gal) in a big city, the hotel was clean, and the staff was simply amazing.

Very clean, well located hotel in Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington DC. There were lots of good restaurantsand transportations options nearby.

When we made our reservation we were told there would be an oven so we could prepare our own meals

Room was found to be clean and sanitized. However, I was there for five nights, and during that time the room was not serviced - bed not made, dirty towels not picked up and replaced with clean ones.

Good 1 bedroom suite with room for two of us to work. WiFi was strong too. The kitchen area was very functional.
Decor is a little dated but is functional

By far the worst hotel experience I had. Room with a kitchen full of cockroaches, poor costumer service, bad parking, etc. Never again with Marriot!

Large roo, nice kitchen, great location

all was fine nothing great.

The 1bdr suite provides a kitchen with a full size refrigerator, dishes, silverware, pots and pans, which is very convenient for a longer stay. It also had a nice computer desk for working. However, the particular room I was in had a bathroom that was in desparate need of a remodel. The toilet sounded like a 747 coming in for a landing when you flushed and the shower was so old I didnt want to step in it.
