Room was dirty. Sheets had soiled stains. Soap had mold on it. Only stayed one night and can't my money back for 2nd night. Very unhappy.

Ameriway Inn is ok, especially given the price of $125.00 plus tax. There is shopping and family type (including fast food) restaurants on M-53 (I don't know the city street name for this hotel). Nearby shopping includes both Meijer and Walmart. Parking is easy and very safe. (Bad Axe is very safe community). The hotel rooms are basic but clean. The hotel, however, is showing its age. The first floor hallway carpeting is stained in places. My room had drapes that wouldn't close properly. (I had to jury-right the drapes closed because an outdoor light beamed itself through the window right onto the bed). The room was stuffy but running the air conditioning helped with that. The continental breakfast beverages consist of coffee, orange juice, and tea. Food was commercially prepared and individual wrapped baked goods - similar to what one would find at a convenience store. (There is a toaster for bagels). It is important to note is that the front desk closes at 10 p.m. and reopens the next morning at 5:00 a.m. Do call ahead if you plan to arrive after 10.00 p.m.

The staff was wonderful. We liked both men that worked the desk during the 2 nites we stayed. Only disappointed in the continental breakfast. Could have been better. Coffee was wonderful and fresh all day.

We arrived after 3 for check-in and were told one of the rooms was not yet ready. Front desk clerk told us it should only be about 10 minutes and he would call when ready. We left to shop and came back 90 minutes later. Room still not ready. We waited another hour and were told it was still not ready. We not able to access the room until after 7 pm. Staff ignored us and hid the the employee area so they would not have to talk to us. They blamed Expedia and stated it was a reservation problem, then blamed lack of staff. Hot tub had a band aid floating in it, food all over he floor in the pool area that stated no food or drink allowed. Complimentary shampoo bottle was half empty and the soap was clearly reused. We come to this area yearly for an event and we will never stay here again.

I thought somehow that Bad Axe would have been updated since the 70s. This hotel looks ok downstairs, but the rooms were not great. And no elevator.

Excellent rate. Clean as ever except the bathroom floor. There were 2 patches of smeared dirt on bathroom floor, one large and one small; it was pristine otherwise . I found Alex to be kind, honest, and helpful.
The room was perfectly located, adjacent to the back door. I could watch my car and unload easily.
The breakfast was delish with plenty of choices and a good amount of food.
Everyone was kind and accommodating! Good job.
I would like to have dial soap in the room besides the other soap.
I didn’t see a channel guide; when the Olympics are on, I need to know the channel.

Check-in was easy. Room was fair. Needs to be updated. Breakfast in the morning was a disaster. Man at reception desk told people to help themselves from the kitchen. He went back into his office and only came out if someone yelled for him. One man in my party was making coffee, people were in the kitchen taking things out of the freezer. One lady took a bag full of muffins out of the freezer and then went back to her room. Waffle machine was not working. People were complaining to desk clerk, and he basically said sorry. We were out for the whole day and when we came back the tables and chairs were not wiped off nor put back in order. Floor in lobby had not been vacuumed. We have stayed here quite a few times, and we were very disappointed. Really would have liked a cup of coffee in the morning

Clean, large rooms but staff problems. There was no one around in the morning for breakfast. My husband actually made the coffee and pulled a few things out of the kitchen.

Hotel was chosen for the combination of facilities, dining, and breakfast. However, we were greeted by temporary staff from the Holiday Inn! In the morning, there were no staff to set out breakfast. The golf tour guests made a good attempt at brewing coffee and raiding the ‘staff only’ kitchen. Whilst that made an entertaining start to the day, the Ameriway obviously couldn’t solve their problem. That’s not good enough!

This was our third year staying for our family reunion weekend, however it'll be our last. Light bulbs were out, hair dryers didn't work, refrigerator didn't work, just to name a few things. Very disappointed.

Made reservations for accessible room did not get it. There was no elevator and my husband uses a walker. I booked the room a month ago. When we arrived they said they were full and had no other rooms. Room had sheets that had stains and poor quality. Breakfast was minimal and seating was poor. Would not stay again

The hotel serves its purpose as a place to stay for the night. Price was on point for what you received. It could definitely use a freshening up such as new carpets, bedding and decor. The front desk lady in the evening was friendly. The one in the morning did her job but there was no enthusiasm to it.

The room looked very clean, but clearly smoke filled from previous smokers! The staff tried hard to eradicate the smell with moderate success. We needed a downstairs room and booked ahead and we were pleased they honored that. A mirror is very much needed other than just the bathroom. Our bed was too hard for me, but my husband had no complaints, he can sleep on a rock! Overall, a good location with good restaurant attached.

Overall nice place. Check in was easy, afternoon and evening staff are friendly. Morning staff seemed like they didn't care much. Breakfast is minimal but good. Get there early though, morning staff doesn't really keep up on it unless you go find them and ask for something. Pool is clean and kept up. One thing not mentioned about the pool is that they open it to the public. Not a deal breaker but it can get crowded. For the price it is a decent place to stay and i would probability stay again if I'm ever that way again.

A very spartan hotel. The room was clean but tired, mattress was a bit like laying in a hammock.
Quite noisy with kids running up and down the halls until pretty late as well as loud parents and hearing pretty much everything they were talking about in the next room.
A nice feature was a bar/restaurant attached to it.
Breakfast was a light selection, very light.
Its definitely a budget minded hotel.

I'm sorry to give a bad review. We stayed here because it had an 8.4 rating, so we thought it would be pretty good. When we first entered the room, the smell of mold and must was overwelming and it continued thru the night. Not a good night of sleep. Also, when we entered the room, my daughter had to use the bathroom and there was poop in the toilet and poop on the seat. That is absolutely inexcusable. Would never recommend this place.

The tub was like trying to stand up in a narrow canoe. Too difficult to turn and move in general. One lamp didn't work. Bedding seemed clean and comfortable but clearly, some of it needed replacing. Breakfast options were OK, despite the exclusion of all meat items. Plentiful parking
