Friendly host, clean, felt so safe room was beautiful!

Beautiful historic home with amazing character, surrounded by stately trees together with lovely flower beds that line the front walkway. A peaceful setting and wonderful respite after a weary day of travel, a welcoming host, and the unexpected surprise of live piano music (so capably performed by the owner’s son) all made for a truly memorable experience.

We loved the feel of the area for sure. Our host was friendly and wonderful to sit and chat with. He was there if we needed anything, but also gave us the space to relax. It was a wonderful quick getaway with my husband and we can't wait to go back!

Munro House is an excellent choice for a B and B in Jonesville. The room was comfortable, very clean, pleasantly appointed, with an electric fireplace and antique furniture. The host, Chris Venturini, was gracious and accommodating. And a very good cook. Breakfasts were excellent.

Very nice experience staying at this property. The room is spacious and nicely decorated. Bed is comfy. The next morning Chris made breakfast for me and we had a good chat. Chris also made French toast and packed it with grapes for my little daughter when we left. Thank you for the wonderful memory. We will be back soon.

Stayed for 2 nights in Clara's room, which features a very comfy queen sized bed, a jacuzzi tub in the room and a private bathroom with shower. Each room is individually controlled with heat and air and was easy to to obtain a comfortable setting.
The room is decorated nicely and was very comfortable with a sitting area and a desk to work at. The tv is a little small which made it difficult to tell the channels numbers/stations from the sitting area, bed or desk..but just a minor inconvenience rather than a problem.
The room is located up a flight of stairs at the back of the house, requiring you to walk through the home to get to the stairway (as opposed to the stairs just off the entry way for the other rooms). No problem with this, just feels a little more intruding each time you come or go.
The breakfast each morning was delicious and included a bowl or fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee both days. I was given several choices of made to order items each morning. The first morning was delicious french toast, bacon and scrambled eggs. The second day I chose scrambled eggs (choice of hard scrambled or soft!) Bacon and toast.
I had great conversations with both Lori and Chris and was warmly welcomed back the second evening by Layne.
The only negative I had, was reading a "very" detailed review in the room journal. The 3 page entry described what various "activities" the couple participated in in the room. I would recommend removing that review as it was distasteful.

The property is very old and it makes it much more quaint to stay and visit. The owners is very nice and friendly. Accommodating very well during the Pandemic Conditions. They do take them very seriously as the partnership became a sole proprietor in early April, 2020. We had a great time during our stay.

We had a wonderful time at Munro House! We were greeted and welcomed by the owner, shown around and then left to enjoy ourselves knowing anything we needed was just a question away. Breakfast the following morning was wonderful, made to order and so very tasty. We will definitely be back!

Historic house. Our room (the General's Room) was decorated with old war memorabilia. The room was comfortable. The hosts are affable and interested in interacting with guests. Breakfasts were terrific: three choices each morning. The only downside for us was the rooms, on the second floor, are a major (19 step) walk-up: that was somewhat challenging for my wife. But if you are reasonably fit, this B and B is a gem.

Very clean and comfortable.Owners were present and welcoming. My wife and I stayed in Sarah's Room. I initially was concerned with the advertised square footage (300), but the layout was perfect and the room provided plenty of room for two. Full breakfast was provided and was excellent. Great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is delightful; Mike and Lori, the owners, are warm and gracious; the room was very pleasant; and the breakfasts were outstanding. We highly recommend the Munro House and we will be returning when we're in the area again. Well located, good parking facilities and close to Hillsdale College.

This was the perfect place for us to escape to away from the hustle and bustle. Quiet, beautiful and the most comfortable need and sheets I've ever slept on. Owners are so nice and are eager to make this a very memorable occasion. Highly recommend!

Wouldn't go back. As my husband had a conference call scheduled and I was able to sleep in for the morning (no kids) we asked that we eat our breakfast in our room. Mike the owner replies, "No, it'd be better down here." For who? Didn't feel customer accommodations are part of the Munroe House plan. We asked to get our breakfast to go only to be laughed at. Priced unreasonably. We stayed in the most expensive room and was very outdated. Gas fire place couldn't be regulated so they even suggested opening the windows, which only helped some as one window wouldn't stay open. Was forced to get up and turn the gas fire place off and back on due to temperature fluctuating. Curtains old and stained. We really wouldn't recommend nor would we go back.
Positive: Lori gave a warm greeting.
