It’s a great area for a pretty decent price. I had the economy room, which was very spacious given my previous experience with “economy rooms.” It’s not the newest amenities, but everything works and is clean.

Very convenient location. Noisy on the square. I didn't ask about air conditioning, I assumed the rooms would be air conditioned. Two very hot nights, the fan did help, but hard to keep windows open with noise on the square. Staff excellent.

Excellent location for what we needed. Staff very accommodating, nothing was a problem. Room was clean. Toilet, shower & sink could be configured better. Would recommend the hotel.

The location was great and the room was spacious! The location was convenient to the train and so many shops and restaurants. I liked that they provided a fan in the room because it did get a little warm and it didn’t seem like the room had AC. I was a bit disappointed because it said it had laundry facilities and laundry service but they didn’t and when we asked, they were helpful in searching for a location for us to do laundry at.

The front facing rooms have a great view of the market place, but in the summer the windows need to be open as they are not air conditioned. Unfortunately there can be some disturbance from late night revellers at various points in the night, even mid-week, although this might just be bad luck on my part. The accomadation itself though was clean, tidy and the staff very friendly. Recommended

Great location and facility. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent location right in the heart of Bonn with everything in the vicinity or within walking distance. Also, public transportation right nearby. Highly recommend.

A very imposing exterior hides a dated and tired interior. We booked a junior suite, the furniture was from a previous decade and for a hotel of this grade air conditioning should be available, alas only a large and noisy fan. No walk in shower, just a flimsy curtain over the bath. Walking around the corridors is similar to being in a old hospital, stark decoration and old metal fire doors The breakfast was good if a little expensive for what you got but a decent selection nonetheless Lastly the reception personal were pleasant and helpful,

I liked the authentic style of the hotel. The location is perfect! Room service however could be better. Even with the tag on the door the room was not cleaned and we had to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper…!

Perfectly located in the city centre. We got a free room upgrade and our window was overlooking the small courtyard, nice and quiet. Perfect! The staff was very helpfull and accomodating. The only thing missing was airco, but they put down a giant fan in the room so it worked.

Friendly staff and decent breakfast, however the room had a bit baffling bathroom solution: The toilet was a small closet on the right side of the room entrance door, the shower was on the left, and the sink was on the other side of the wall entirely in the main room itself. Yes, the room entrance was effectively in the middle of the bathroom, likely an artefact of the old building and existing piping or something. Still left an uncomfortable and claustrophobic feeling, particularly given the luxurious size of the bedroom itself. Bed was a bit hard. Decent enough stay for one night, and has its rustic charm if you like creaking floors.

A beautiful hotel located centrally in Bonn. The hotel is a little dated now but it is affordable and convenient. Bed was comfy, staff was friendly and the only negative was the bath towels being very small. They also had a deal for if you didn’t need housekeeping (we stayed two nights) you got a free drink and snack per guest, which is a decent encouragement to be a little more eco friendly if you don’t need towels washed etc.

The Stern Hotel is magestic and historical. It did not disappoint!! The room was nice and clean, the staff were wonderful and the food & cafe outside was great. A lovely place to be, you're in the midst of everything and yet it is very safe and beautiful.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Little to like other than the location. The room was not very clean. The toilet is in a room that is so tiny you can barely stand. There is no coffee except as part of the breakfast, and no way to make coffee in the room. They were out of butter when we had breakfast. Perhaps worst of all, when we asked for an extra pillow, they said that housekeeping was closed! Obviously, they have no concern for customers' comfort.
