Dry clean hotel. Staff was excellent when checking in.
4.3
We have stayed here before and chose it because of ithe location to major traffic ways. Far enough to be quiet and near enough to have easy access.
the room was super comfortable and spacious ,particularly the bed
The staff checking in was not particularly welcoming, although she was not rude, just distracted, a bit dismissive.
The biggest surprise was the change in parking issues. This is the midwest - Kansas City - and this is the first time we have been asked to pay for parking in their own lot, via a third party app. It was easy enough- but an issue if you do not have a smartphone. Just be forewarned.

I liked how quiet the hotel was and how they personalized the tv screen with guests names.

Stayed for a work trip, it was centrally located. But unaware from the website that there is a $10 a day charge and breakfast is not included. There are other options a couple blocks away where the breakfast is included. The biggest issue wasn’t the parking or no breakfast, it was the pictures from the site. That is not this hotel and my tub was dirty and the pillows just were gross. The wallpaper was peeling and the water was either scolding hot or cold. No in between. I would stay a block up the road in the future

Girls basketball game fun!

That area and that room. The first room was dirty wallpaper coming off. Someone wrote on wall it was cover with paint that didn’t work to well. In all I was shocked. However they did move me BUT I had to ask for a credit (1st night) wasn’t offer. I would not be staying there again sad to say. Born and raised in KC so I do go home often and this was the first I had a room like this especially in the Overland Park area. More upscale. Furniture was VERY old. Open door and they had dirty things on top of the clean towels and linens. Wow really

Liked the moderness of the lobby and decor. Didn't like how guests had to pay to park. But it was a reasonable amount.

Every year I bring my severely autistic nephew to the Marriott for his bday party cause he loves this hotel. He is now 18 and still wants to come!! Every year the front desk person Corey is the most accommodating person to us as my nephew can be loud at times. Corey is kind and always interacts with my nephew and makes him feel so special!! Corey is definitely the heart of Marriott and I thank him so much for making my nephews birthday the best ever again this year!! Also hotel as always was clean and beds were comfortable! Highly recommend!!

I didn't like all the upcharge from parking to breakfast

It was nice and quiet

The only issue is that they have unnecessary outdated alarm clocks in the rooms. Looking so forward to waking without an alarm was wonderful only to have an alarm go off at 4:50am. In a fog I grabbed it and it went off. Apparently I hit the snooze so after dozing off, it went off again, so I moved around and pulled the plug out. after 10 mins or so, it went off again because there are batteries that have a screw that holds the batteries in, so I had to put the lights on and find the way to shut the alarm. After that I couldn't fall asleep and was really angry. In these times, EVERYONE has cell phones. TAKE THOSE ALARMS OUT OF THE ROOMS!!! If someone requests one, have them come down to the lobby and get one and have the maids remove it when they leave.

For a solo trip this was the perfect option.

The room was clean and orderly. They have a Starbucks within the hotel although it doesn’t have all the options a normal Starbucks has, so not the best place for me personally. They were super friendly and kind. Elevators sound a little scary. Can definitely hear people talking as they go past the rooms but Overall a good experience and will be booking with them again.

Everything great

nice property, close to convention center

Hotel was great, friendly staff and all. Nothing within walking distance of any help or interest to make the stay any better. Only food available unless you uber or drive is at the bistro (which is tasty) or lobby desk tariffed with airport pricing. 12 bucks for a breakfast sandwich. 5 bucks for a bottled tea.
4.3
Comfortable stay. Good service.

All was fine

The large open community area

While just 30sec into my shower (Rm 627) the water got cold and stayed cold. I complained to the desk clerk he offered a snack from the vending area???
4.3
Friendly staff, easy check in and out, close to entertainment, clean. Had a great time!

This was a rather strange hotel. The furniture layout in the room was very bizarre, bordering on comical. The bed was located against a wall where it never should have been placed (bad feng shui) and there were other strange but more minor things about the layout of the room that were odd.
There was a mini-fridge but no microwave. The room itself was extremely small with little room for two people to navigate in. There was no free breakfast or restaurant at all, only vending machines. The hotel decor seemed to cut corners all over the place. I could give examples but it's not worth my time as I'd be writing for an hour. Will definitely NOT be staying there again!

Very clean and close to everything in KC!

The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the room was so spacious, clean, and comfortable! And yeah, the bistro in the hotel is a little pricy, but the food is really delicious. Only downside to me is that the hot tub was out of order.
4.3
Staying next to the Convention Center was the right decision. I felt safe walking back and forth and the folks I encountered were great!
4.3
Stay was great. Our room was supposed to have a fold out couch, but there was no couch when we arrived. The staff made sure we had a pull away right away and were extremely accommodating. Wish the pool was warmer and the hot tub was working, but it did not dictate the quality of our stay. Will be staying here again.

We did not deal much with the staff. Upon entering and exiting they were friendly. We were charged $10 a night for parking... we were vendors at an event accross the street. We were told that they charge for parking at the venue... this was NOT A FACT. With the hotel ajecnt to the Children's Hospital and the Convention Center, you would think that the hotel, who by the way is by no mean inexpensive would not charge for parking.
We noticed that people were parking there, that were not guests and not having to pay... this seems like a double standard....
No breakfast, charge for parking, no complementary cofee or tea.... NICKLE AND DIMING THE CONSUMER.

My room was not updated - no USB ports; carpeting old/dirty. Ironing board needs new cover, hairdryer needs updated. Floor was very cold and room temp cold - needed to call front desk to get temp regulated.

Excellent service and room!

great service, breakfast, and air purified room, so clean.

I have stayed at multiple Courtyards by Marriott. This was by far the worst I’ve stayed at. To start, the reason I chose this hotel was because I was taking my 5 year old nephew on a trip for his birthday. The only thing he cared about was that the hotel had a pool and hot tub. The hotel specifically advertised that it had an indoor hot tub. The hot tub was permanently closed. The hot tub was half way filled with a dirty yellow substance. Also the inside pool was very cold! To top it off, our room had 0 wash clothes. I called down 2 times and nobody ever delivered them. The toilet did not properly work and would not flush toilet paper. I will never stay here again. Very disappointed.
4.3
It was ok
4.3
I liked that we were just across the street from the convention center. The one thing that didn’t make this a 5 is we did not have cold water in our room which made it difficult when brushing our teeth.
4.3
Super friendly quiet with lots of room for visiting after games
4.3
The extra charge for parking was irritating. If I am already paying to stay, I should not have to pay for parking also. This hotel is not in a downtown area where parking is sparse.

Great

Pros: conveniently located near kansas city, easy parking, nice and professional staff, relatively quiet and safe
Cons: pay for parking $10 or $15 per day, slightly too expensive, no free breakfast
