The room wasn't clean the beds were hard and the heater didn't work.

Never again. Slept in clothes, left before sunrise.

Room did not match photos at all. Weird spots on bathroom wall (mold that wasn’t cleaned properly?), toilet rings, extremely uncomfortable mattresses. Staff member who checked us in was helpful when there was zero toilet paper in the tiny bathroom.

Nice check-in/desk guy.
Bathroom had not been cleaned before our stay. Dirt on floor and hair in tub.
One of two beds had very squeaky springs.
Other bed was comfy.
TV worked well.

This was the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. There were cigarette burns (holes) in the bedspread and burns in sink and on vanity. The walls were dirty (dirty fingerprints). The bathroom was especially disgusting. Squeaky bed coils. Ugghhh. There was nothing in the shampoo/conditioner in the dispenser, no tissues in the box dispenser (Only white fabric that was stuffed in the dispenser). Could not get out of the room fast enough.

very poor living condition, tv not working, receptionist not professional, dirty floors, bathroom and bed very poor condition.

It was awful. No towels. Dead flies all over. I had to leave

My towel rack fell out of the wall when I just barely pulled the towel off it . There were cockroaches or bugs crawling on the walls .

When we arrived the manager at the time, indicated that "we do not have a key for your room".. maybe tomorrow. I told him that we were going out to eat, do I just bother you everytime I leave the room. "Yes". Said the key might be ready tomorrow ( I knew that wasn't going to happen. Website says stay includeds breakfast. No it did not, just bad coffee.
Room bathroom was gross. No showerhead, no plug for the bathtub, footprints in the tub. Toilet was disgusting, had not been cleaned in I do not know how long. TV did not work, said the maintenance would be there tomorrow to fix (see above on repairs and keys).
Do not recommend.

Good location, very cold AC, probably the dirtiest motel room I've ever been in. There was a maxi pad on the floor next to the toilet. The floors were covered in dirt, grime, hair, and stains from who knows what. Fridge and microwave worked. The room smelled like mold after a shower, and no soap or shampoo were provided. Overall, way too expensive for how disgusting it was.

Room had no soap or shampoo - asked, and they gave us shampoo packs and said maybe in a half hour - we bought our own. No daily cleaning. Check in clerk was horrible. Hair in weird places of shower and bathroom. Unsafe shower/tub. Couldn't stop water in tub for my wife to shave her legs. Overall horrible

Major issues with people sleeping in there cars in the parking lot and openly doing drugs in the parking lot too.

room was absolutely filthy and falling appart

The young man at the desk was very nice and quickly moved me to to another room when I asked. The second room, although having more light, was really shabby. The bedspread (it was a no smoking room) had burn holes and you could feel the springs through the mattress. I was hoping I could attach photos to show you the bathroom! Cracked tile, ugly yellow stains all around the sink and toilet and the tub/shower had awful stains too. It was graduation weekend so I expected the price to reflect that, but $250 a night for a dump like this is outrageous.I do want to give kudos to the two staff members I dealt with- they were friendly and very helpful.

The room was a lot bigger than expected

Good for the price

This is an older motel in downtown Chico, so the decor is a little dated and the rooms are showing their age. I’d say this is an OK place, given the price, location and free parking. I had noisy neighbors (until 2 am) above me, but that was just bad luck. Didn’t hear or see other problems with guests. Check-in ws fast and easy; guy behind the desk was very nice.

Front desk people were nice. The cleaning staff should be fired, had to ask for 2 different rooms to be changed because of cleanliness. Beds were uncomfortable.

Lobby closed had to stand outside of lobby and use a phone while looking at clerk in the office was 39° degrees outside at the time. They gave my $100 security deposit to some random ass person then refused to pay it back.

Basic clean room.

It was a very economical motel.

Overall this hotel is atrocious and no one should stay there, ever. But even the worst hotel (and this is) have a few things going for them, so here they are:
1) location - it is in downtown Chico within walking distance of the university
2) the sheets were clean and the mattress was comfortable
3) the parking lot was brightly lit
4) the front desk clerk was friendly and helpful
Do not in any way let those 4 things lead you to believe that this hotel is ok, because isn't. This hotel is DIRTY and DISGUSTING.
There was dirty laundry in the closet, a clearly used-for-s*x towel behind the door, the floors were too dirty to walk on, and the real kicker is that the shower and tub were completely unusable. By unusable I mean there was a hole in the wall in place of the contraption that would send water out of the shower head, and there was no plug to use it as a tub.
I asked to use an iron, which they gave me, but it was filthy. The ironing board was broken. The cabinet doors were broken. The sink was stained. The mirrors were dirty.
I stayed at this hotel out of sheer desperation because my original reservation was lost (either by the hotel or hotels.com, not sure which) and every other hotel near the college was sold out due to"family weekend". I was there to visit my daughter so location was my #1 priority.
This hotel is gross. Trust me.
BTW - I have spent 30-50 nights a year in hotels every year for 20+ years and have never left a bad review.

Very nice respectful check in person. Room had a strong odor of smoking. Bathroom door did not close properly.
Other than that it’s a place to sleep.

I have stayed many times across the street and this is my first time staying here and I will say I will be staying here from now on this place by far I kept up on maintenance the rooms are up dated and the staff is friendly to each other the hotel across the street is the exact opposite and they had me convinced this place was worse then there hotel and it’s the opposite it’s so much better

At first there were no bath towels, the front desk brought some down. Then while going to the bathroom i felt water dripping on me. Looking up there was a water leak from the ceiling. By the looks of the patch job it has been repaired multiple times. Shower was dirty, no soap. And my white socks turned black due to the durty floor. Don't stay at this property.

I seen multiple cockroaches and bugs. I felt super uncomfortable in the room I stayed in. And there were a lot of noises throughout the night that made it hard to sleep. I tried calling multiple times today to get a refund on the room but it didn’t connect me to the hotel. Wouldn’t recommend going here. 2/10

Saw roaches inside my room. Got woken up at 8 am by loud machinery noises made by the own hotel employees. No regard for the guests sleep. Bed linen was ripped and stained.

My stay was great. Hotels.com however sucks

The staff was welcoming but the room itself was really bad. Wet dog smell and cockroaches. The sheets didn’t look too clean and had burn holes

Bad location. Bed was horrible. I didn't stay the night I booked

It was clean, just old and not kept up to date. There was only 1 towel in my room. Questionable clientel. I give it 1 star. Would not be my first choice.

The floor between the beds was sticky, like something had been spilled, and not cleaned up, and the bathroom counter was dirty.

Druggies screaming and banging something that sounded like a metal pipe all night in a room below. Couldn't get much sleep.

It was just Ok.

Night shift worker canceled my reservation and tried charging me more per night. If that wasn’t bad enough he put me in an unclean room. Day shift was nothing but helpful and resolved the problem
