Excellent(480 Reviews)4.2
The hall carpet was disgusting as was the flooring in breakfast room.
4.2
Receptionist at the front desk was friendly, attentive and helpful.
Very nice location
4.2
Hotel tired with no functioning air conditioning
4.2
Conveniently located next to the Jeronimos Monastery, clean and practical room.
Really appreciated in the breakfast the famous pasteis de Belem
4.2
The hotel was in a great location near beautiful sites and the river.
4.2
Perfect for one night stay, in a safe area for walking. 30 mins walk to the concerts at Alges. Breakfast wad good the next morning. All staff were very friendly and helpful
4.2
Old, musty smell, obsolète but close to belem

Ok

The location of this hotel is perfect for visiting Lisbon without being in the crazyness of the historic center. It is walkable distance to all sightseeing in Belem, and short walk to main bus and tram stops to go the Praça de Comerçio and historic center. The hotel is dated, which is understandable and fine. The included breakfast is great, varied and complete, and Pasteles de Belem are a PLUS! The one thing we were not happy with was the cleanliness and overall room facility. The carpet was so stained and with bad odor that it made it feel like the whole room was dirty. The shower faucet was leaking all the time. The lamps were not functional. It looks like maintenance has not been a priority for this property for a looong time.
4.2
The property is perfectly located for visiting Belem and the surrounding areas. On-street parking is available in the neighborhood behind the hotel. The property needs significant finishes upgrade. All surfaces are clean. Breakfast buffet is beautiful and a great start to the day.
4.2
Wonderful service and location !!!
4.2
Nice location, super friendly service, great breakfast. I left very early and they provided a lunch box.
4.2
Great location, walkable to everything.. nice and clean too
4.2
Such a nice location, literally across from the monastery and the Patis de Belen is around the corner. But skip the line because the hotel actually provide the tarts at their breakfast buffet! Amazing!
4.2
Very friendly staff at well located & reasonably priced facility. Excellent bed, good bf, tremendous value.
4.2
Great breakfast. Close to Belem sites. Room was a bit dated. Quiet though.
4.2
The staff were great but this hotel is starting to feel pretty dated and tired. The carpets need replacing, small details need repair, etc. The hotel bar was never open, which seemed odd.
4.2
Lovely room and great staff.
Hallway could do with an uplift but really comfortable stay
4.2
I would rate this hotel as a 2 star. Carpets in the halls and rooms were very stained.
4.2
The carpet in the hotel room and hallway is so dirty and smells awfully. I have no idea how this hotel is rated four stars — even the outstanding location doesn’t help.
4.2
Staff were friendly and very helpful. It's across from the Monistery, so quiet at night. Best for seeing the Belem area.
4.2
Excellent Belem location
4.2
Carpet we did not like,

This hotel is in a great location - walking distance to many sites. The breakfast is fabulous and includes warm pastels de nata from the famous Pasteis de Belem which is a block away. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The check in and out was quick and easy. The room was clean and well stocked. It would be great if they would update the stained carpeting.
4.2
It is close to the museum district as the monastery is right across the road.
I cut my finger trying to get out of the shower the first day as the part of the glass barrier which should move so you can get in and out of the tube was stuck. It became unstuck when I was getting out of the shower.
I got put into a new room with an handicapped shower, which presented a new set of UI challenges such as how to get the shower to spray water rather than have the movable shower head do it and the sliding door hide the light switches but it was OK.
They arranged a taxi to the rail station for my last morning and it showed up, so that was good.
The breakfast was good, with stuff for people who like eggs and meat, stuff for those who like cheese and cold cuts, and there was a bit of cake on the side for those who like that.
The handicapped room had a door to a patio with artificial grass, presumably for service animal chillin' and poopin'.
4.2
Good location for Belem and Jeronimos.
Encountered 3 receptionists on overnight stay and have to say only 1 of them was particularly friendly. For the price, the hotel was reasonable not bad but not excellent. Rooms are clean but a bit dated, no noise at night. Good, powerful shower. No kettle in the room for tea/coffee. Room door needed closed firmly to ensure shut. A/C not the best but windows can be opened out. I'd rate it a 6/10 rather than an 8-9/10.
4.2
Liked:Clean, friendly staff , very good breakfast, excellent location.
Not liked: refrigerator not cool, no pot for tea or coffe in room, no towel hangers in bathroom , sink clogged in bathroom
4.2
Excellent location. Eaay and safe parking in the street. Excellent restaurants area. Near to all landmarks in the city. AC limited for cooling. We had to open the window to sleep because the room was too hot.
4.2
Comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff.
4.2
Great location; Easy and close walk to all the museums and water. Great and friendly staff. Breakfast was great with a nice variety and custards!
4.2
No water, kettle and iron box in rooms in this 4 star hotel. No restaurant within the hotel. It is not a 4 star by any means. Only good thing is, it is close to tram stop, so easy to commute to city centre. I wouldn't stay here in future and wouldn't recommend.
4.2
The location was excellent. They arranged pick up at the port, recommended restaurants.
The room was fine and the breakfast very good.
They advertise bar and restaurant but there was none.
4.2
We had a great stay there. The hotel is close to most tourist attractions in Belem. We managed to have an early check-in which was great after a long flight. Would definitely recommend.
4.2
I liked the breakfast choices, the pleasant and helpful staff, the closeness to the shops and restaurants, quite environment, availability of a bath tub and it's good size.
I would have a appreciated having some face towels available and facial tissues. Also hair conditioner would be a nice addition to the amenities. There was also no electrical plug in the bathroom area where I can plug the hair dryer. I had to use the electrical outlet by the entry way. It would also be a big plus if there's an adopter available to purchase from the hotel.
Overall Jeronimos 8 was a good choice for my stay in Lisboa. I would not hesitate to book a room there again in the future.

Great hotel, well situated, lovely staff

Rooms 210 & 220.
- No wifi in room 220.
Had to work from the coffee shops or load off a data card, which defeats the purpose of being a 4 star.
- Dirty dirty carpets.
- Are terrible, uncomfortable.
- Pillows old.
- Broken shower in one room.
- Water in the bath fills up because it's so blocked.
- Fridges don't work in both apartments. (They said we could store the food in the fridges downstairs.
- Aircon manual and the remote doesn't work.
- Towel hangers in the bathroom were broken.
- No coffee in the rooms. Just the normal stuff a 4 star hotel offers.
not recommended, for a 4 star hotel in that area it was filthy.
4.2
Very nice and comfortable hotel, wonderfully located behind the Belem 's monastery. Rich buffet for breakfast. Some refurbishment in the rooms start to be needed
4.2
Our booked "junior suite" was filthy and reeked of cigarettes despite being a non-smoking room. We were moved to a different room which happily was the one and only accessible room in the property. The bathroom was a train-wreck with a floor that sloped away from the shower causing a flood every time we showered. the sink was falling off the wall and the faucet was broken and flopping around. Air conditioning in the second room was barely functional which was surprising after the blast freezer that was the smoky room. The mattresses were like sleeping on bricks and both of us slept poorly the entire week. The door to the open "patio" area did not lock and the safe was non-functional making leaving a risky affair and we often carried all of our valuables around all day. The door was eventually repaired but the safe was dead. Finding a message on my phone that three attempts had been made to access it after returning to the room on the one day I left it there was infuriating given the phone was in my suitcase and placed in the closet. The WIFI only worked in the dining area as well. The only saving grace was the breakfast and some of the staff. Avoid this property.
4.2
It was a quiet and historical area, and not too touristy. The hotel was comfortable and simple.
4.2
Nice area and good hotel. Friendly staff. Carpets in room a bit old. Wifi not working.
