In particular the Nepalese head of the restaurant was delightful - she was so helpful.
Our only thoughts were the corridors to the bedrooms seemed very dated not the usual standard for Novotel .

This is still the safest bet in Hamilton for a business hotel. It is not run down in any way. But it does looked dated - a 90s design ethos. My only real complain is the food, which is bland and unsophisticated. They could really do with some excellence in the kitchen.

We loved our stay. We arrived late after a delayed flight and the hotel was easy to find and the staff were very accommodating. Highly recommend.
2.0
The air-conditioned unit needs some attention, very hard to get it to cool. Pillows could do with an upgrade.
In the dining area, listening to an Asian man yelling at his staff was not good. Items also missing from the meals which had to be asked for.
4.0
Carpets could use an update and bedding could be of higher quality otherwise tidy clean and everything you need

Great service, great location and nice facilities, will be back again.

Last time I stayed here was 20 years ago. Staff still excellent, hotel very clean, and the brisket burger was great. Location hard to top.
5.0
Great hotel, good rooms and great stafff. Good food options at the hotel and in the local area.
4.0
Not clear there is parking to rear of property so valet parking is suggested. Staff didn’t seem to remember patrons

Beautiful, comfortable property right on the river walk and Victoria street. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great stay

Great stay. Angelica at reception was so friendly and welcoming. We have stayed here a few times and always great hotel.

I traveled all day to check in and be told there was no available valet parking. I had to self park in an unfamiliar area. To add insult to injury, the cost of the overnight parking was the same as the unavailable valet parking. Amenities are what make a hotel upscale.
2.5
A very comfortable hotel with a very nice staff.
5.0
great location and easy walking to great restaurants and cafes. Also the river is at your doorstep for a great bike and walking path that winds throughout the city.

Staff were so helpful as we had a family member hospitalised so late check in. Offered safe parking right outside as all regular parking was full. Service was above and beyond. Thank you

Housekeeping is lacking. Shower gel empty on arrival, black mold in shower, no bin liners. Next day refresh left a new towel but did not remove soiled towels left on floor, did not empty overflowing bin, or replace dirty coffee mugs. Property is tired compared to other Novotels.

The hotel is very nice, the only complaint would be the parking facilities, we had been at Meatstock working all day and came back and there was no parking available. We had to find one and walk back to the hotel.
Secondly we came back and our room hadn’t been serviced so we had to make our beds and on Sunday morning I had to go and find coffee cos there was none in our room. For the costing we found that unacceptable

Parking is first come first serve but has valet services.

Great location. Cosy lobby bar. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate. The only negative is that the complementary guest parking at the rear of the hotel was very limited.

Centrally located in Hamilton adjacent to the majestic Waikato River. Good restaurant, spacious rooms.

Great stay for a night with family

great option for families

Parking is limited even though you want to pay for the valet parking, and the breakfast buffet wasn’t tasty at its value. Overall, it’s in a great convenient location, and views of Waikato river is peaceful and tranquil for a stay. Highly recommended.

Great facilities and great buffet breakfast.
Parking : strongly encouraged valet parking albeit expensive. When I checked in I was told that valet isn’t available and I will have to park on my own. But the valet himself said parking is available. No complaints but was a bit confusing
Food in the room: there were cookies, water and other beverages in the room, available for a cost. We ended up eating a cookie, only to check later that best before date had long passed. There was expired food in the mini bar
Breakfast: overall great. However if you arrive in the second half of the breakfast time, you may not get the vegan muffins, cut fruits. So be early to the breakfast
Surrounding area: 2 out of the 3 nights I was there, there were loud noises in front of the hotel. First night, presumably drunk people stopping cars on the street, playing loud music on jukebox and in the car, doing rounds in front of the hotel. Second night, some kind of bike racing and people cheering. Bikes were doing multiple rounds in front of the hotel. Was hard to sleep on both the nights.
Facilities: great facilities

Very friendly and professional staff. Very convenient location 👌

Nice property on the bank of the river. Very nice walk along the river. Excellent restaurant options on walking distance.

This was our third time that we've stayed here and each time has been equally as good as the last. Unfortunately the parking is limited but all and all a great place to stay.

This may be the best place in Hamilton (but that's a low bar.) This worked for me for the overnight, the bed was very comfortable, the room temperature was perfect without the aircon (and its noise). The room had a great high ceiling, but marred by slightly dirty curtains and a depressing outlook over the front structure of the hotel. The long blank corridors felt reminiscent of The Shining, plus with tired paint and occasional litter. The restaurant was expensive for the relatively small portions of standard food; service was indifferent and inattentive. Breakfast was straight out of Koru lounge (they must use the same suppliers). Would use again if still unable to find a better alternative

Nice stay, rooms are a bit dated which I was surprised with. Shopping mall across the road as well as casino. Lovely buffet breakfast and friendly staff

You have to reserve in advance if you want to park your car there.
Staff don't seem interested in helping. Just going through the motions or ignoring guests.

Overall the stay was good, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The young bar staff were great!
It's the small things that make a big difference. The first night the cocktails had no garnishes, the following night they did - presentation was so much better and felt more like a cocktail.
The car parking or lack there of was VERY poor. We didn't book valet before arrival and tried whilst we were there, there wasn't any available. Whilst we were offered free hotel parking it was dog eat dog to actually get a park. Failing both of those options there was street parking or a car park approx 5 minutes walk (not ideal when its raining or you have bags to carry)

Very convenient with excellent room service

The room was modern and clean. Heater/AC worked well. The shower had a nice big rose so good water flow, was hot and they had decent sized shampoo/body wash dispensers - not those little soaps and disposable tubes. Security was good. Overall, very happy and would recommend the property.

Not what we expected from a Novotel. Did the job for a night but wouldn't stay here again. Location is good.
2.0
It was a great stay, but they sting you really badly for parking - valet only at $32 per night - that wasn't obvious when I booked.
3.0
Carpet and cushions in room visibly dirty in places, sink tap in bathroom loose..
