Customer service and the staffs attitudes were horrible.

Sonesta was alright as a whole. The good things about this resort is the facilities and the options and selections of restaurants, drinks etc. The bad things about the place is definitely the service. I have rarely experienced such bad service on a holiday. The service (or lack thereof) was mainly an issue in the restaurants, where the staff was rude. I even had a waiter rolling her eyes because I asked for a baby chair.

Fine hotel with decent buffets and a good location. However, the staff is very much not serviceminded or smiling at all. Some even rolled their eyes for no reason what so ever.

First time visit to St Maarten and the hotel helped make it easier
4.0 / 10.0
the staff are not friendly, no pool was close down the second after the second day we arrive so the only option was a small adults only pool and we had kids or the beach, the reason why Im giving it two starts is because it was close to the airport and the beach was beautiful other than that never again! almost everything shuts down at 10pm if you planing to go on a honeymoon or bachelor party this is not the place to go.

The staff was amazing. Every single person who
Worked on that property was amazing. I have never seen a country where every one was polite and caring to strangers. God Bless St Maarten.

The Sonesta Maho was an amazing experience. The open variety of restaurants and food was a plus. This all inclusive was worth it. Don’t get discouraged by the negative comments! Book today! Thank you

The main pool was closed and the server on the beach don’t bring food. There is no late night dining nor is there any room service. Coffee shop not matter what you ordered was terrible.

I came to celebrate my, and I must say it was a great experience. I enjoyed the beach, the pool and the pool activities. The staff were friendly, nice and attentive. The room was okay, but I enjoyed the pool view. The meals in the main dining hall were very good. The Sonesta resort is now one of my favorites. I will be back.

Always a good time at Sonesta Maho. The food is always fresh and tasty, drinks are plenty, and the hotel employees are all awesome. Second time visiting and looking forward to the next one.

The hotel was quite dirty in the room and common areas. Staff at the hotel seemed like they did not want to come to work and that any question a guest asked was an inconvenience to them. The main pool closed unexpectedly and everyone from two resorts was forced into one small pool. Overall, it would be great if the hotel was cleaned up and staff had a retrain on service.

Our stay was great the only two things that were something we would have like to have seen is a ATM at the property and room service a a availability.

I would highly recommend this resort for for couples as well as families. We were here for Labor Day weekend and it was very full of people! The staff is very courteous and very accommodating. The food at the various restaurants on the property were delicious. You will never have to leave the resort! Looking forward to our next trip!

Great time at this resort just wasn’t a fan of the food but I’m a picky eater. Definitely a good location
2.0 / 10.0
Everything was horrible about this resort. Someone stole money from my friends room and they are extremely rude. They turn off the power 3 times each day and the AC stops everytime they do it.. I believe they do this to save money while everyone is out enjoying excursions or the beach… another thing is when you get there, the first couple of days you will notice the toilet water is blue because they are stuff to it. By the 3rd or 4th day, I noticed all the flushed water is brown and smells like sewage… this happened all the way until our last day where they add more chemicals because there was another group coming. Very shady, unprofessional and the staff are rude..

Some workers are very rude, never smile or say Hello.... The bartender on the first floor for the night shift was great! Very friendly and attentive. Pool closes at 7 and food was just ok.

Overall, it was a decent resort, the only thing that was not favorable for me is that the staff could have been a bit more welcoming. as for the amenities, there weren't much much especially if you weren't a Ocean point guest. The major plus for this Resort is that its walking distance from the Maho main strip, which has a variety of shops, restaurants and bars. no cab needed for the most part.

All in all it was a good stay. However it was very bad that the electricity went out once or twice a day for less than a minute. The hotel grounds were beautiful and clean The pool was extremely clean but with with a party type atmosphere. The beach was beautiful. Some of the staff were very attentive and some were standoffish.

When reserving through the resort, they should let you know before time u still have a $50 hold per night for incidentals. They add too many fees and taxes at reserving to not have incidentals added as well.

Great place if you want to see the planes land!
We stayed on the general side (not adult side) of the hotel. The STAFF is NOT friendly at all and they cater to certain people more than others. All the employees seem miserable.
If you don’t like rap music, do not go to the pool because that is pretty much all they play. When you asked them to play something else, they play half of your song and go back to rap.
Food was ok.. decent
Room was nice, however one of the two rooms we booked ceiling flooded. They quickly moved us however did not reimburse items that were damaged by the water. The manager, Giovanni Smith, was extremely rude and basically blaming us. He does not have customer service skills and should not work with human beings.
Overall, this hotel is not worth it.
Nice location, but I do not recommend this hotel. If you have a chance to avoid st Maarten go to Aruba instead! Much friendlier and amazing!
