Welcoming and warm - complimentary glass of mulled wine and mince pie on arrival and a lovely warm clean room. Staff are kind and thoughtful. Will definitely stay there again when in Halifax.

Staff were incredibly polite and helpful throughout, engaging before and during our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well provisioned. Breakfast was swift and delicious, made for an easy morning prior to departure. Taxi to the Piece Hall only £7-8 each way, ideal for a quiet place to stay on the edge of town.

We stayed for one night to go to an event at the Piece Hall. The hotel and room were lovely and breakfast was excellent. It was also quiet despite there being a wedding elsewhere in the hotel.

Great location and a nice hotel. Comfortable room, though a bit noisy as you can hear people milling about in the night. The food and drink is expensive for what you get (£9 for a basic sandwich and £3 for a soft drink). Otherwise it’s a good choice.

This hotel is beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They’ve decorated it amazingly well for Christmas, it’s so cute. Eric the cat is a legend. Breakfast choices were very good. 5stars from us. Loved our stay here

Very friendly staff and good service. Room was small but clean. Bed was comfortable but the quilt was of a higher tog making it to hot for a summer night. Overall nice place to stay.

Quite a walk to our room . Lots of other guests with children and dogs running arround . Lots of noise in the coridors especially earlly morning. Next time i will not accept a ground floor room

Overall the stay was ok. On this day there was a wedding, we stayed in room 31, with the windows facing the parking lot. There was a lot of noise until late. Dinner was good, we liked the quality. In terms of accommodation, the bed was not so comfortable and the room was very hot, we had to open a window where all the noise from the wedding came from. Breakfast quality could be better

Had a great visit staff where very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Drinks are abit over priced causing us to drink somewhere else. The actual building and the surrounding gardens are lovely to walk around but in all great place to stay. Dog friendly lovely dog bowl and blanket left in the room.

Beautiful hotel, superb food. Good service.Very safe with all COVID precautions. Perfect location for our visit to Hebden Bridge and Shibden Hall. Staff very welcoming. Rooms clean and bed lovely.

Loved this hotel. Food was awesome, House was historic. The only negative was the fact that the housekeeper took away the soap and body wash from the first night (really silly given the big sign in the bathroom about being kind to the environment). So I had to use a new soap for the second day, and also never got a replacement body wash! Other than that, it was fabulous.

We attended a wedding here - it was a very pretty setting and the accommodation rooms were very comfortable and food excellent - if I had one quibble it was the difficulty accessing the rooms from the function areas - I walked down with a small baby and one of the staff allowed me to go through the dining room but otherwise I had to go outside and re-access the building through another entrance. A small gripe - but the stay was otherwise most enjoyable

What a beautiful hotel. We enjoyed a great time at this hotel. From the staff to the cat all were friendly and professional. Our room was pleasant but the star of the show was the food. A menu offering goat terrine and hogget cannon is fine by me. Excellent all round stay

Beautiful Jacobean manor outside Halifax never fails to disappoint. Lovely staff which provides a family feel about the hotel. Popular with tourists, business people and as a wedding venue due to its beautiful architecture and gardens.
