This is a tired old hotel that they say is being renovated. That being said, while the room and carpet are quite dated, the room itself was clean. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the bathroom was very clean with travel items available. Unfortunately the elevator was not working and there is no actual 'Breakfast room" to sit in. You order your breakfast the night before from a basic 5 or 6 item menu, and you pick it up the next morning. There is coffee and hot tea available. the property and surrounding area is clean and maintained.

Broken elevator and “Truck Stop “ microwave sandwich for breakfast

Elevator did not work and they placed us on the 3rd floor.

Check in was lengthy, “computer wasn’t working properly”. Both rooms were on 3rd floor, “Elevator is out of order, you’ll have to take the stairs”. During the night the smoke alarms went off in our rooms 3 different times (there was no smoke) explanation provided was, “the building is having some construction work being done.” However, there was a lack of evidence for the construction claim. Rooms haven’t been updated for decades. Crusty carpeting, peeling wall paper and musty smell is the norm.
Best thing was the complimentary breakfast burrito!

When I review, I try to stay as objective as I can. There are concrete facts that make this location one to avoid. The elevator is and has been broken for, as I understand it, weeks. Anyone finding themselves on the 2nd or 3rd floor should look elsewhere. The smoke detector woke us up three times during the night for no reason. We learned in the morning that all detectors in every room behaved this way. People wanting to sleep at night should not stay here. The website promotes free breakfast, and I'm guessing most folks think that a selection of cereals, fruits, beverages, and maybe a waffle maker is de rigueur. Here, you make a decision when you check in of either a breakfast sandwich or two styles of breakfast burrito. You'll get a brown paper bag with your lukewarm selection when you approach the desk and ask. No ready beverages except coffee. If you want tea or hot chocolate, there is hot water. That's it. If you believe that a hotel breakfast should offer better choices, another hotel is your best bet.
We learned by overhearing another guest speaking with police in the lobby: An individual impersonating the father of two teenage girls was supplied a key to the girl's room. I certainly don't have all the facts, so I can't comment on security issues except to say that the guest wanted the hotel to review the cameras in front of the officer and they refused. If you think that a hotel should protect the guests that stay there, another location should be on your list.

The fire alarms went off in the middle of the night for no reason, explanation was it happens every night, im in a wheelchair and the elevator wasnt working, and the desk peeson gave out a room key to a total atranger and said stranger entered into the room next door. Never again

Very comfortable. Rooms recently renovated with wood flooring rather than carpet. Much better for cleanliness.
Hot breakfast sandwiches made for breakfast and tea and coffee available. Convenient and quick.
Only negative was that the lift was not working.

The room they gave us was on 2nd. floor and the elevater was out of service. I am disabled and it was extremely hard climbing stairs with my suitcase. I asked for 1st. floor room when I found out about elevater , the girl said othey were all taken. I would not have been upset but I asked her how long the elevater was " broken" and she said " For quite a while ". Their website said they have an elevater, something I always check for , unacceptable to me.

Just a one night stay. Place is conveniently located to Tillamook Creamery and Latimer Quilt and Textile center, both worth visiting. Breakfast is a choice of 4 prepared items, ready at time of choosing. Indoor pool was good for relaxing after a day of driving. Rooms are very simple, bed, 2 chairs, table,TV. However, beds are too soft, not good for my back. Overall, okay.

Their elevator was broken so we had to carry our heavy bags up the stairs. The breakfast was very limited. No yogurt, fruit milk, juice. They had ruku for their TV, but wasnt able to watch anything.

Room was very clean and spacious! The pool is well maintained and clean. The temp was just right! Only thing mar the stay is the elevator was broken, but they offered carrying our luggage upstairs. I like it was next to Fred Meyer.

The elevator wasn't working and the stairs were filthy. Smelled like sewer and the room smelled like old cigarette smoke.

I would give a better rate if the breakfast wasn’t so limited

Undergoing renovation. Breakfasts not worth it

The elevator was broken and my wife is disabled. Not the properties fault.
Rooms smelled of mold to the point that I tried to find other accommodations; but there were none. The window didn’t lock. The TP was very thin. There was no coffee pot in the room.
Front desk was a bit abrasive about the elevator.

Elevator out and front desk said an hour at 7 p.m. check-in, but was entire day of stay; nothing in the morning, either. So stairs, and no service if you can't hike them. Fortunately I could. Stairwell disgustingly dirty, seemed never to be vacuumed (human hairs and trash all up and down the steps) and I mentioned this to front desk--like, maybe run a vacuum because we had to use the stairs, and they equivocated. "Sorry, help is thin..." This would have been a 15 min. job. Rest of hotel very clean. Why not do stairs? Heated pool, lovely. Room spotless, but never upgraded for use of devices. Had to plug in phone where TV comes in and plug in tablet by microwave. No place to plug in by the table (for computer use) or by nightstands. They need to upgrade! No coffee service in lounge except at breakfast, which was a pre-order grab and go, and no decaf coffee. If you needed coffee for an early start, too bad. No coffee maker in room, but there was a microwave if you brought your own instant. I did appreciate that the little frig had a freezer section so I could put my gel packs in and not have to load up on messy ice. This is the first place I ever stayed with no coffee in room or in lobby at all times. Location nice, right near the Tillamook highlights, like cheese outlets. Also next door to a Goodwill. I had no time for these, but others may appreciate the proximity.

Some updating going on. Elevator a little slow. Breakfast is limited to grab-and-go bags you order the night before (single breakfast burrito, single egg muffin, etc.) so plan on eating breakfast out. Good for an overnight stay but wouldn't recommend for more than that.

The curb cuts for wheelchairs and walkers were too steep, not to code. The elevator kept getting stuck. The pool was disgusting. Though they say there’s breakfast available, It’s basically a microwave breakfast sandwich or burrito at a predetermined time. Three dollars a bottle for juice or anything other than coffee, tea or hot chocolate available. Will not return.

We like that is close to everything but the rooms can use some updates.

Nice stay! Right next door to a grocery store, Starbucks, and Dennys. Very convenient, large clean rooms, and close enough to Tillamook creamery.

Friendly, helpful, inviting young girl at the front desk was able to check us in quickly and provide added information about where to go for dinner in town. Our room was spacious, clean, and bright. Laundry facilities on site were well maintained and in a bright area.

They were polite and very nice. We would stay again.

Overall, it was a good hotel for an overnight stay. We skipped the breakfast, instead choosing to try a local bakery. Staff was friendly. Room was spacious and clean.

Breakfast was disappointing

Cameras everywhere but the evening crew didn't catch kids smoking weed right on the side door step.
The pool was cloudy. We didn't feel safe swimming.
The continental breakfast they offered was cooked in an air fryer by staff that morning. They had 4 items to choose from all used airfryer.

I didn't like this hotel at all. The lobby really smelled bad. There is no in room coffee. The lady at the front counter said there was coffee right there by the front all the time. There was not. The pet potty area was a 20x20 area. Objects in that area, not big enough for a larger dog. No phone in the room and no clock. The floors were uneven, you walk with socks on and catch yourself on the sharp edges of the stones. There was the ear piercing buzzer for the septic system, which was always going off. The breafast, that we had to choose from was just not up to standards, what happened to the breakfast bar?
I really miss the old Ashley hotel from years ago, that place back then was awesome. I will not be staying there again.

The staff was great! Friendly, helpful. There was a hiccup when wet arrived, our room hadn't been cleaned, even though on her list it said it had. She quickly found us another room that was also dog friendly and it had been cleaned well. They had a small area for dogs to do their business with grass, a couple of larger rocks to hike a leg on, a tree, etc. Small, but dog oriented. Fred Meyer is literally next door of you forget anything. Several food options within 2-4 miles. They were completely booked over the 4th of July weekend and they're on septic. So even though we didn't have major problems, there was an odor coming through the pipes. Plugging the bathtub when not in use helped a lot. The wifi is lousy, so don't expect much there. Overall, not a bad hotel. Just nothing fancy.

the 2 rooms that we booked have air conditioners that does not blow out cold air. My sister had to go down to the reception around 5am and told them the air conditioner is not blowing cold air. The place is old and smelly, needs update. The breakfast is pre packaged and you have to pre-order them the night before. The mattress is very soft, not comfortable. The main issue is the noise level, the housekeeping starts really early, we heard them around 6am, the banging woke us up. It was so loud that there is no use of going back to sleep. You could hear them talking in the hallway and banging around while cleaning. Our 2 rooms are on the same floor but several rooms apart. Location is good, not far from Tillamook factory

The visit was fantastic. The room was large, comfortable, and clean - likewise for the bathroom. The air-conditioner and heater were both used thus enhancing the stay.. Along with the breakfast, all-in-all a great stay.

I booked the hotel for my parents who do not speak English. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to communicate and help their needs. The hotel room is clean and very comfortable. Fred Meyer is just cross the street and you can walk to downtown. I highly recommend this place!
3.0 / 5.0
Folks at the front desk were personable and accommodating.
The breakfast routine was weird. Order your biscuit or English muffin by 9 at night and let them know when you want to pick it up at the front desk, next morning. Not really a breakfast as promoted.
Our room had two queen beds but no seating. Only a desk chair. Bathroom fixtures loose. Tile floor in the whole place was dangerously uneven..
