Nice hotel. We have enjoyed our short stay. The breakfast was delicious. The personnel is helpful and friendly. Nice ocean view and fresh air.

Amazing boutique hotel, everything from the comfortable beds to the ocean waves at night, beautiful patios and fires, well kept gardens and paths, and quaint bar and restaurant with a small limited menu but good food! Love that it’s an adult only hotel!

Beautiful small boutique hotel. Perfect little casita.

Restored motor hptel turned chic beach property. Great staff and really nice linens and bedding.

This was a totally revamped beach hotel with fantastic amenities, helpful and friendly staff, incredible cocktails, and a very comfortable, quiet, surprisingly cool room. Will absolutely be back when we are in the area.

Cute hotel and nice staff.
You will need a car for this area though, not super walkable

It was the best getaway location! Felt super comfortable and was very private! Everyone was super nice and friendly answering all our questions. Within walking distance to the beach and close to additional dining options. I will be returning!!

Overall this property and aesthetic was like shown in pictures. Very cute. The property is level with the PCH, you only have an ocean view if you’re on the 2nd floor. Ground floor view is PCH and railroad tracks. Which by the way the trains come by frequently. You cannot hear the ocean from our room because there was a fountain running the whole time, and that’s all you hear.
The room was very clean, beautifully designed and vibe is so nice. The bathroom shower head was so high, which is great for rather tall people, but I am 5’3 and any way I moved the shower head water flow was almost hitting me directly in the face. The water pressure though was amazing. The room offered a mini bar and then only instant coffee packs and tea for free. They have coffee for purchase at their bar.
The entire staff was wonderful, so kind attentive and a pleasure. The bonus with the shower head water was I was able to check out the Dyson hair dryer from the front desk which is amazing and not having a tiny crappy dryer in the room(I have a lot of hair, need a good dryer)
The breakfast food/drinks for purchase were really good and the coffee was great. Pastries were supplied by a local bakery and the croissants were amazing.
Overall it wasn’t a bad stay, or really amazing one; just wasn’t what you would expect for an “ocean view” room.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. They have paid attention to every detail to make staying here a wonderful and unique experience.
Great drinks and small bites are available in two lovely outdoor areas or inside at the cozy bar. The rooms are lovely - the Mexican tile throughout is spectacular.

extremely expensive for a teeny room

If you’re looking for a relaxing get away this is going to be your place. Perfect location and the drinks are great. Property was very nice, clean, and beautiful.

The property was lovely as was the staff. The only downside was the room was very small.

No option to check-in early, or leave luggage. Staff not the accommodating.

I’ve stayed at several of the hotels in the area and this one is by far my favorite. It’s been so long since I’ve experienced customer service that I almost forgot it was a thing. The staff here truly care and go above and beyond to ensure exceptional service. It’s nice to see a hotel so clean! Hunter made me feel so welcome from the second I walked in. The bartender was attentive and quick and I even had a server check in on me while my drink was being poured to make sure I had been helped. Everyone is friendly and actually smiles! The other guests were all quiet and respectful. If you stay here you’ll want to park your car behind the building, then walk to the lobby which is in the little building with the bikes parked beside it. The bar and restaurant can also be accessed through there. Definitely go ahead and book it!

Great staff, adorable boutique hotel/motel. Well appointed. Small rooms but well thought out. Situated between Capo and Dana Harbor.
Would definitely go again.

felt so spoiled staying here, though we checked in late around 10:30 still felt it was very much worth every penny. The cool gadgets we could use complimentary was a surprising perk. The detail to the hotel was insane - finally not a hotel that a big company slaps a name on and charges high room rates for a room that feels subpar and honestly less nice than my own bedroom. It was a quaint room but so fun to walk around and see all the attention to details and unique things they did. I’m already bugging my partner to come back and want my entire family to experience it! Thanks to the staff for being so friendly 10 to the team

Construction on the beach was noisy and woke us up at 6:30 AM

Very nice set up and walkable to restaurants and beach access. I also liked that there was a bar right in the hotel. Room had a nice patio however the room itself was super tiny. The bed is right in the center just with enough room to walk to the bathroom and door. There is no closet or any drawers to put your stuff away. Had some issues checking in after my stay got canceled and rescheduled due to the hotel not being ready. Was told there was a 150$ “hold” even tho there was no note of that. It said 2 free drinks per stay but when we asked they had no idea what we were talking about and they offered us a drink of their choice. Overall a cute place with lots of nice details but seems a bit overpriced.

I still cannot believe this hotel/inn is still in business. 2 tiny soaps, no glasses or cups, no ice, no real drapes just flimsy veils which his nothing from public view. Pleade smelt damp and had an open fireplace with ash in it.

It was as the other reviews mentioned, the location is great but the property is need of some maintenance & upkeep. Room is basically clean with no bells & whistle, AC vent was very dirty which always freaks me out because youre breathing past customers God only knows!

Missing smoke detector, dirty patio, dirty Windows, construction and trash not properly contained. Shabby.

Charming remodeled cottages. I read the bad reviews and decided to give it a try. Clean updated bathrooms, the mattresses were fine, nice staff, continental breakfast was good. Someone said they dont use fitted sheets... Uh were they stupid? NOBODY uses fitted sheets. I stayed at a 5 star resort two weeks ago and they use flat sheets. Across from the train tracks, yes. So are the othe hotels on the coast hwy that were far more expensive. the price was inline with amenities and location. I travel every 2 weeks and it was a refreshing change from the modern closed in hotels.

We are the type of folks that when staying at the beach we prefer a bit more rustic or old quaint type of motel as opposed to a luxurious place. However, there seems to have been an owner change since we last stayed here. There was no coffee in the room, no drinking glasses, no ice bucket or ice for that matter. The place is run down but charming. The location is excellent. The small garden patio is a very nice place to sit in the evening. So, there you have it. I may stay here again but not certain.

Passing through on the way to Oceanside. Decent place - kind of run down but good location. I was nervous at first of the train out front, but it does not run over the night. Close to beach! Nice owner and dog friendly. Nothing fancy, but clean.

As I reported in my review just yesterday, the rooms were not as advertised. They advertised queen beds and they were double beds with queen headboards. Electrical connections were hanging from headboard because cords were too short. Bedding was very uncomfortable and amenities not as advertised. Rooms were small, bathroom so unclean I would not shower there. I will never stay there again and will advise all friends and family to choose other hotels.

After reading all of the scary reviews this place got, I was pretty nervous. But while its closer to a motel than an upscale hotel, it wasnt bad. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the shower had great water pressure, and we were right across the street from the beach. It was very hard to close the door though, and the place did have a rundown feel. But for the price and location, it was a great deal.

There was no stuffs at all, the owner of the property was helping us to give the room. Room had a wired smell. Bathroom was very tiny , it's tough to take shower for a big person. Only thing is beach is very close from the hotel , you can just cross the road to get to the beach.

Very quaint also has small personal area in front with a small table and chairs to see and hear the waves. Good place if youre not going to stay in your room often and just need a really close place to the beach.
